Hey I remember seeing an advertisment for Amazons on the T.V years ago. I always wanted to go to it but I never got to. I also remember some kind of ride that just dropped you off into the water and when I saw that I was like "Oh wow that looks wicked!". I would like to see some pictures of it too. I'll try Google and see what I can find.

I think all of them are terrible. Why don't they give it a name that will tie in with Ocean Parade since it's going right next to it and is going to intertwine with Cyclone? So something like "Ocean Parade Beach" or "Ocean Parade Waterpark" something that will relate to the exisiting area.

Nooooooooooooooooo! It's not fair! Why did they have to build the waterpark there?! They could've put it on the other side of the park and made it combine with Blue Lagoon! This is all Big Brother's fault! Damn you Big Brother!

No worries but lets get back on topic. I think the layout of the park is pretty good. The only major concerns I have are the following: - Tower of Terror is just on its own. - The Farmyard Friends is miles away from Wiggles World. - The BBQ Buffet is on its own. - The Giant Drop has no theme relations with the Log Ride whatsoever. Putting Wiggles World where it is was a bad idea. If they had got rid of the Paddle Wheeler and put Wiggles World on the island that would've been a hell of a lot better. Why? Because then they could extend the queue line of the TOT over the train track (with scenery inside of coarse) and made where Wiggles World is into some kind of run down city Broadwalk with an interactive dark ride where the Bid Red Car ride is. It would also be easier to tie the Buffet in with the land too. Plus they could build a bridge from Wiggles World over to Farmyard Friends so that's killing two birds with one stone so to speak. As for Rocky Hollow? I think they should retheme the Log Ride which ties in with the Giant Drop's theme. They could easily pull that one off too. If they did all that then the park would be perfect, layout wise. Anyone agree?

But you're forgeting that the twisting manouever on the Wipeout is a very small part of the sequence it does. After that it just rocks you about a bit with really no thrill until the big final part, which is what a Huss Top Spin does. I mean I've never been on one myself but I do know that they are better than a Vekoma Superflip. Besides don't forget about the Huss Giant Top Spin which are about three times the size of an average Top Spin and that's fooking massive!
-
You sure that's the only way you can buy it? And yes they do have scenarios. They add onto the ones that come with the game. But if you ever do consider getting RCT2, find a non-Triple Thrill Pack one. And if you can't, download it!

Here you go. The 2000 - 2001 map (before Cyclone): The 2001 - 2002 map (before Nick. Central): Enjoy!
-
Well how about Huss Top Spin? It's basically the same type of ride except it's larger, more reliable, less painful and has water fountains which actually get you wet. The only problem about them is that they can't do the twist element the Wipeout can but does that really matter?
-
No don't get the Triple Thrill Pack or any of the expansions for RCT2. There's no point because when you'll make your own parks chances are you'll never use them. The best way to go is just to buy the game and get custom scenery off the net. Custom scenery may not always install onto your PC but most of the time it does. Just look around for it on Google or something.

Hmmm this has been bothering me for some time. I hope they don't get rid of Blue Lagoon. It is by far one if the most beautifully themed areas in the whole park and the rides meet up to the same standard too despite there being only three main ones. Krakatoa's Revenge is the best waterslide I have ever riden. The fact that it keeps you thrown about is amazing and the really big drop after the slow bit is insane. I hope the new park doesn't decrease Blue Lagoon's reputation for being a tremendous to the park but I'm sure it won't.

Yeah I agree with Tony. It's about time Dreamworld got a computer drawn map but personally nothing will beat the 2000-2002 year map. They were hands down the best maps Dreamworld has ever produced. Then Nick Central came and the map became quite horrendous with it's cartoony feel and it's massive paths. Now the map looks like what it should look like as it suits the Dreamworld logo very well. I just hope that in the future that they'll produce a map as impressive as the 2000-2002 year map.

Hmmm I have to agree but it's only the places where they haven't updated the park in years. I mean take the AWE for example. For years it stayed pretty dull and smelly until when they revamped it in 2001 and now it's beautiful and doesn't smell of animals. The same goes for Ocean Parade (except for Wipeout maybe). They have really made it very bright and colourful especially when The Claw came in. The only places I have concerns are around the Rocky Hollow area (including Giant Drop), the Rivertown area (the Model T Cars and the Paddle Wheeler) and Gold Rush Country where they generally haven't updated those areas of the park for years. I mean, sure they do a few touchups like the new scenery inside Thunder River's tunnel, but seriously those parts of the park need their rides replaced or something they're getting tame (especially the River Rapids I mean there is no thrill or point in that ride whatsoever nower days). The Paddle Wheeler though is my most major concern. Evere since they got rid of the bushranger show there is absolutely no point for it being there. Personally I think they should make use of the island it created and theme to some kind of pirate or Treaure Island theme with a pirate ship and a couple of other rides. Overall, the park can be impressive with its up-to-dateness but in some areas it lacks that factor and makes parts of the park seem forgotten and left behind.

Tower of Terror is Getting Too Loud
The Claw replied to The Theme Park Master's topic in Theme Park Discussion
^ Yeah that's true! But I don't think TOT is getting louder. I think it's stayed the same loudness it has always been. I think the park has been slacking off with it a bit by putting less power into as I recall the car always used to reach the "E" of Tower on average when it was new. Nower days you're lucky to see it reach the "F" of Of. Plus I find it a bit slack how they didn't theme the new queue line they had to build when Nick Central came in. I mean it's not that much of an effort but sometimes a small effort can make all the difference. -
The first time I went on the Wipeout I was six years old and I can remember it being a very fast ride in terms of how fast it did the sequence it does. Now today I do feel it does go quite slower even though that could be just what happens when you grow older but when it does the twist element it does you drop quite a lot out of your seat and I don't remember doing that when I was six. Personally all Vekoma rides have a warrenty of about 10 years and that's when they start to get really rough. The ride is now thirteen years old this year and many signs of it aging are evident. I think Dreamworld is going to hold onto this ride for a bit longer though before they replace it with something else. But I think the real question is, what are they goign to replace Wipeout with with it's quite compact area it covers.

I own the following: - RCT (on Xbox so it has all the expansions and more) - RCT2 Triple Thrill Pack - No Limits - Theme Park World - Theme Park (DOS version though so I can't play it *cries*) Personally with the expansion packs for RCT2, DON'T GET THEM! They're terrible expansions as they really haven't added anything new apart from scenery pieces which don't look too good anyway.

Hello. I have just registered onto your fabulous forum as I have been looking over this website for quite some time and decided I should join it. And since I couldn't find and introduce yourself topic I thought it would be cool to start off my time on here with an RCT2 park I've been making since November of last year (I don't go on RCT2 much but when I do I go on for hours). Anyway here is my park: Jungle Canyon. The entrance: The Mine Train Coaster (I have forgotten the name I always do he he!): The whole family area with a Suspended Swinging Coaster known as "The Bat" as the main attraction (the picture is a bit outdated as the colour scheme for The Bat is now a black colour): And finally, the soon to be Swamp Land: Enjoy!
