  1. There is a big difference between a rocket going vertically at 1000km/h and a coaster on a track doing 300km/h. If a coaster went that fast the curves on the track would have to be very gradual to reduce the high g-forces. The public cannot endure high g-forces without any consequents. Joz, Rabid I was not taking about rocket coasters but rockets to go into space. "The Bus is now leaving for The Force, NSW"
  2. I can give you one piece of knowledge about the resorts you listed. Aspen is in Colorado not Canada. "The Bus is now leaving for Cresta Ski Run, Victoria"
  3. Today they removed the section of track from the top to the first support on the second lift and were preparing to remove the same section on lift one. That is about a quarter of the lift, far from the half that Shifty saw. I do have photos but haven't put them on my computer yet so I will post them later. "The Bus is now leaving for Quarters Well, Western Australia"
  4. Yeah they should do that, but there is one problem, the park closed down. "The Bus is now leaving for Run Me Down Creek, Victoria"
  5. Alex can you answer me this, who is Ruddegar's alternate username? "The Bus is now leaving for Ruddergrange, NSW"
  6. Can you please explain what you are trying to say please? Is half the lift removed or has only the top been removed? I know what has really happened and how it looks but I can't decipher what you are trying to say. My copyright is with my username on this site. 7. The change they wanted to implement was a simple bar between the two head rests of the rear carriage. The reason for this was to give operators something to hold onto while crossing over on the step plate at the rear of the train. The step plate was made of checker plate metal and was very slippery when wet. There was an incident where an operator was injured after slipping on the step plate. *This post is serious it should not be taken as a joke under any circumstances.* "The Bus is now leaving for Boiler Plates, Tasmania"
  8. Shifty do you have any idea about the differences between coasters and rockets and the potential effects they have on a human? First of all the people who go up in a rocket are probably among the fittest people on the planet. They have trained for years to get to where they are. If a normal person went up in a rocket without any training they would probably have a cardiac arrest from the extreme g-forces. Coasters on the other hand are designed with everyday people in mind. The g-forces can be high but will never be anywhere near that endured in a rocket. The corners, drops, loops, etc can only be of a certain angle anymore and the public will not be able to handle it. 9. Not sure where Bounty's is going yet. Here are the photos I took the other day. The two of demon show the crane, I just missed it lowering a section of the track to the ground. The Bounty’s one shows what was left, one support. "The Bus is now leaving for The Bounty Shaft, Western Australia
  10. There is only so much a theme park can do to a ride in terms of modifications. Wonderland wanted to add a minor modification to the train but was told by Vekoma that if they did any warranty or support provided by them would cease. It is so much fun scaring kids and adults when operating rides. Adults were the best to scare because you would do something, like pull a bolt out of your pocket and pretend that it was off the ride but start it anyway, and the adults wouldn't know if you were serious or not and it would totally freak them out. I would ask Daniel or Galbraith to comment but they both seem to have disappeared. "The Bus is now leaving for Mod Well, Western Australia"
  11. Look at when Bruiser posted the message for a clue. "The Bus is now leaving for Bruisers Lagoon, Tasmania"
  12. Galbraith you have put me under a lot of pressure here. If it goes into the family history the family tree will be very flat. This is the case because usually a carnies sister is also their mother and the mother of their child. "The Bus is now leaving for Crackajack Rock, NSW"
  13. So because Ruddegar said that there was a lever as well as the buttons everything he and I said is incorrect? Maybe it's your recollections that are wrong. Just because Ruddegar is a fake name does that mean that his information is wrong? If it does than me, Hussy, Slick, scream, GoBoi, dj, rabid, Neb, as well as many others post disinformation all the time. Face it Alex you are wrong. "The Bus is now leaving for Collector, NSW"
  14. They started removing the lift today. I do have photos but couldn't be bothered posting them now so you will have to wait. Also Bounty's is now dismantled, this morning it was standing. This afternoon there was only one support left standing. Again I do have photos but I not posting them now. "The Bus is now leaving for Rockingham Education Support Centre, Western Australia"
  15. Every 'annual' maintenance at Wonderland was at least a week. This went for even the smallest rides (Baby Bumpers). The ride would be completely stripped down and cleaned and checked, they would then leave it in bits for a few days while they did other things, then they would put it back together. 3 days, you must be kidding. "The Bus is now leaving for Strip Tank, NSW"
  16. See Alex I was right yet again. Remember I was a ride operator for a long time. "The Bus is now leaving for Time Rock, Western Australia"
  17. What like "quality", "video", "effects"? Is that the jargon you don't understand? "The Bus is now leaving for Underginnie Well, Western Australia"
  18. I think you will find that the operator that was at the lift end of the platform was in control of the lift. The control panel (which is still there) had three buttons on it, Start, Stop and E-Stop, it also had a microphone. The primary function of this person was to watch the lift, if anyone was misbehaving they could use the microphone to talk to them or if need be to stop the lift. If there was an emergency on the lift obviously they would hit the e-stop. They had nothing to do with the brakes in the section before the station. "The Bus is now leaving for Micro Gardens Park, Western Australia"
  19. No it's not being replaced. I meant that it has been bought by the same company and is being put in the same area. "The Bus is now leaving for Same Creek, Western Australia"
  20. Flea that was not very nice. You will probably see a news story about me tomorrow. "Ex-Wonderland employee goes crazy" "The Bus is now leaving for Crazy Cat Mountain, Queensland"
  21. The top half of the vertical loop is now gone. They started removing it this morning and the afternoon the only part of the loop left was the first bit and last bit where it starts going vertical. I forgot to take my camera with me today but I should have pictures tomorrow. "The Bus is now leaving for Bus Huts Loop Trail, Victoria"
  22. I know exactly what you are talking about. If I hear any part of the Space Probe video again I think I might snap and go 'US postal'. "The Bus is now leaving for Snap Creek, Victoria"
  23. Skyhawk is being (or has been) installed at Surfers where Vomitron is. So you might be able to get some info from them. "The Bus is now leaving for Hawk Fell, NSW"
  24. That’s all good and well but there is a problem with that plan, they have to get the show on TV first. I don't know when I last saw one of their shows on telly. "The Bus is now leaving for Tellygram Range, NSW"
  25. Do you people read? I posted the link to the Bigthings website. The Big Prawn is in Ballina NSW. There is no Big Grape or Big Plum at this point but there is a Big Fruit Bowl at Bilpin NSW. "The Bus is now leaving for Plum Hole, Queensland"
