If your wanting online playing, PC, but in saying that to be the better playing you must have deep pockets. The 360 and PS3 are very much similar, only REAL difference is controllers and O/S, however the 360's have a higher failure rate that then PS3. Really the amount of pro's and con's of either the consoles pretty much evens out. Then as someone mentioned above, if your after a console for social reasons, go the Wii. It's fun, inexpensive and great for groups of people. I have owned a 360, Wii or PS3 at least once and for me the PS3 came out on top, but ultimately I use a PC. Only thing I find with my computer now is the more games being released the more you need to upgrade your computer. I have upgraded mine now at least 3 times and it now has a total value of roughly 2k. The decision is really yours, try not to ask on forums but due to fan boy.

I'd be more excited about the Big Dipper. Be sure to get a few shots of it for us.

I think it's just another way of them trying to get some more money. Anyone who would pay $10 to get in the park earlier would be downright stupid. When I booked my tickets through NRMA in '06 and went with my family, we did the early entry and got on one ride, cyclone. Every other ride was closed apart from the rides in Nick Central. I have heard from many other members on the site that this is still the case, at least I think a few more rides are open.

Unless you have permission from the park to take your camera on the ride then yes you can, if you don't then don't, on account of risk of injuring yourself or others. Those people who sneak camera's onto rides can ruin it for others. Penalties are big if you are caught and for those who do get caught I hope get a 5 year ban from the park. The fact is, you WON'T be able to get any device on a ride, why? Simply because your just another stranger coming in from the street and asking to take your camera on the ride. If you were to take a media device on a ride you have to secure correct? Securing an item to get on a ride would be time consuming and that in itself is just unfair for others in the park who wish to ride. SO... my advice, go have fun on the rides, when you come home and want to relive it, go on you tube and look at P.O.V's that other IDIOT'S have captured.

I thought the only time the ride used a cable winch is when the ride goes into the "bog pit" when the brakes for some reason fail. For those who don't know what the bog pit is, next time you ride, look behind the carriage you will notice the track keeps going. Here is a picture of the "bog pit" on Superman: The Escape. I couldn't find one of TOT. Please correct me if the term I have been using is not correct.

Yeah, but so is Black Hole and Twister

Question... What about powered coasters? Do these stop at break runs or what? Are the contact rails on the track just isolated? For those who don't know what a powered coaster is - Powered fun

How come I have never seen this topic before? Well like Gazza, I collect park maps and posters, but I also have popcorn buckets, napkins, wristbands (my latest one is a locker wristband from DW). I have multiple on-ride photo's, latest is from MW. I only have one newspaper article, unfortunately I forgot what album I put it in. It was the article for the last day of Wonderland and it had a picture of riders on Bounty's Revenge, you could see, myself, my sister and two cousin's riding . I have one DVD from from Knotts (BTW I think the onride video systems are excellent) - Knotts And finally I collect shirts for every coaster I go on, I just don't wear them. Oh and just crap as well.

Is there anyway you can get a picture of this and PM me or post it in the thread, you mentioned in another post you would be there on Sunday so perhaps then? And your post's are getting much better now... I just wish people would PM about problems with others
-
Thanks for your recent construction pictures of the sidewinder Gazza. I actually forgot all about this.
-
I'm not liking it... from what I see in the pictures it just distracts you from the theming. Eh, it might be different when you actually see it.
-
Eh I'm beat then, like they say, "if you can't beat them, join them". Lol thanks for clearing that up Alex. Its just what many people in my town say, don't know why.

People aren't going to simply listen to you straight away, especially when you make false comments all the time. You need to build respect. Klassen the thing is there aren't people who over rule others, its simple just people giving far more sophisticated and well believable statements. Like you said it is your fault this has happened but it doesn't mean you've completely lost. Just start make a bit more sense and writing things in a bit better detail and it will turn out.

Yes I know, but with some that area could only be the only area they could, we all know what the rent is like in Sydney. I understand where your coming from I really do. I was there at the beginning of the year visiting my sister in Sydney and we went to her friends house which is in that area, she said at first its fine but after a while it does get annoying. In heinze sight, they have nothing to complain about now, the addition of new big attraction such as the roller coaster would be a bit of a different story. You need to visit one of the apartments to get the right idea.

Is this one anything like the one at LPS? I went to the one at LPS this year sometime and it was well... Ok imagine walking around a batting cage at night, strobe lights going off and every now and then a few guys in a white shirt jump out at you, then add an air raid siren going off...

I saw a report on the Steel Hawg on TPR and I must say it looked like a real nice and intense coaster. Only thing is another coaster would never get the approval. If you know any residents in the area around the park you will know why it won't. Majority of the residents hate the noise as it is, and I mean do you blame them. Ah well, we can always dream. If LPS gets a nice little compact coaster, I know where I'm going to be on my days off. On a side note, I really like the look of Formule X and reading a few reviews of it, it seems like a really good coaster. I like how it doesn't have shoulder restraints and just lap, really adds to the fear and excitement.

He meant a license agreement for some of the aspects of Lights Motor Action. It's not a replica remember. Please read a post FULLY and PROPERLY.

But Ash, they lights as other said fit in well with the theme. The theme of main street is modern, its set back in the 1930's, hence the vehicles, building structure, Roxy Theater (today its called cinema), etc. Putting new lights in you will loose that 30's feel. No not all lights face the street... why?... there shinning on other parts of the park apart from Main Street. When your in the park at night and the spot lights get turned on it just adds so much more atmosphere into the park. I don't think Bonnie and Clyde would be very impressed about putting newer lights in. Alex - Is there any need to be rude or mean in your post above? He was saying that someone told him something ridiculous, he wasn't implying that a B&M was going in. There's nothing worse than posting then have someone badger at you when you did nothing wrong.

Movie World really is a half day park!
mickey_079 replied to rosscoe's topic in Theme Park Discussion
Some guests from what I have seen take advantage of the 30 minutes with all attractions closed by taking snaps around the park, which personally I think is a good opportunity considering you can then ride all day and enjoy some of the shows. -
Yeah I did. They looked for about 30 minutes but couldn't find it. The guy at guest relations told me it could of fallen on the catwalks or the area's between the ride and the wall which the op's can't touch so the mechanic's are apparently keeping there eye out.

I honestly have no idea how it came out and is still a mystery to this day. As you said I'd say it was half poking out because I quickly chucked it back pocket as was putting a receipt in it.

The fog in the fountain is working, just not properly, seems the water misters arent at the right pressure. I noticed allot of the theming is now getting chunks taken out of it, and whats with all the bright coloured lights in the beginning of the ride? It ruins the atmosphere. I rode Scooby on Thursday and unfortunately lost my wallet on the ride... FULL of money

Eureka Mountain Mine Ride Maintenance
mickey_079 replied to Drewboy's topic in Theme Park Discussion
When Dan and I went over to WWW after 3, EVERY slide we walked right onto and every slide was in operation, apart from the left little ripper. Thursday was also a busy day for Movieworld and Dreamworld. When at Movieworld on Thursday, Wet n Wild didn't seem too busy, and every time I looked, surf rider didn't seem to be running. Dreamworld was horrible on Wednesday, waited about 20 minutes for a meal, and that was when the line's were short. How many rides did we do Dan, 4 or 5? -
