  1. ^^^That will be extra challenging, you might have to train for that one. I'd be surprised if they did a launched coaster, it would kind of supersede their number one attraction currently. If you look at what Mack are putting up in China, they are doing lift hill coasters of a hyper size, but with inversions as well as airtime elements.
  2. Better still, construct a huge black dome over it and never tell anyone what it is. I hope in future Star VIP Tours, the walk up the lift hill for this one will be quite challenging.
  3. ^I hope they are, I want an Intamin dammit lol (stomps around like Cartman). Now we know it's Mack, the question is are they getting another launched coaster or will Mack build a more traditional hyper or will be something else altogether? Based on riding many of both manufacturers, Intamin and Mack, I personally prefer Intamin because they have a bit more punch, but it still should be a great ride. Ah one question gets answered and now there's many more...
  4. Unless you count a card board cut-out version of dinosaurs alive as a new ride. I think the stuff in the containers is possibly like a new ride.
  5. Yeah, grass and scenery are overrated, let's have a land of make-believe so bad it makes real life seem better lol. Maybe they should get a coaster like the Gold Coast, I'll take a new coaster in Sydney any which way.
  6. If you can't travel for abandoned theme parks, Luna Park might give you your fix at Halloween lol: "Sydney's biggest Halloween event is back, bigger and better this year as Luna Park Sydney transforms into an abandoned amusement park for Halloscream 4: Return of the Forgotten Funfair. " I was curious and did a search on "standing but not operating" amusement parks on rcdb. Loudoun Castle looks ineteresting: http://www.urbanghostsmedia.com/2015/08/loudoun-castle-scotland-abandoned-amusement-park/
  7. ^Huss Rainbows are a really cool ride. On an unrelated note I see Luna Park have expanded their Halloween event to 4 nights now, including the Monday of October 31st and the preceding 3 days. I might have to mosey on down after work on the Monday, which is easy when you're walking distance from the park.
  8. From Dusk Til Dawn at HHN Hollywood was a bit meh a couple of years ago, but there's plenty of scope to utilise the theme really well. I'm happy to help out with the Salma Hayek lookalike casting call.
  9. ^Well spotted. Lol, will they replace it with a new version of the same thing, or maybe the much-loved Intamin twin hammer. We can only dream of something righteous going in there. If only they could use the land behing Maloney's corner, nice tract for some rides, and neighbor dissent.
  10. Yeah it's pretty easy to get from Dallas Airport to SF Over Texas by Airport Shuttle, there's accommodation right by the park. Also they have the Cowboys Stadium Tour (I did it, great) and Texas Ranger Stadium near the park. Fiesta Texas and San Antonio in general are worth visiting.
  11. ^Yeah it might be a stretch for her. Any updates, or is the "construction" just porno for fencing fetishists at the moment?
  12. I'll be in line for the Pirate ship cycle lol, I'll wear protective clothing to repel the daggers from enthusiasts. It might be tricky logistically first, but it would be good to find a happy medium for the majority of park goers (i.e. not out of state coaster weirdos). Or perhaps have different cycles at different times of the day, I wonder if the height limit would vary at all depending on the cycle, in particular pirate ship mode?
  13. Not to be outdone, Sportsbet are getting in on the action: "REVEALED: What finally clinched the deal for Hayne on the Gold Coast..."
  14. TAB are already promoting a Dreamworld / Jarryd Hayne cross promotion: "Jarryd Hayne signs with the Gold Coast! A place where all his dreams can come true..."
  15. Perhaps other non-coaster rides fare better: Lady Gay Tugboat, an Ariel themed ride...nah not much better. Far from being a misogynist, I'm all for girl themed coasters, perhaps a Hooters themed coaster (note: attempt at irony).
  16. I'd definitely like to ride Wonder Woman, many times. I don't think we'll have any idea about this from official sources for a while, please prove me wrong MW. Female themed coasters: Rita (formerly Rita : Queen of Speed) at Alton Towers, Regina at Tobu Japan, Catwoman's Whip at Six Flags New England (that might have changed now) - wow, there's not many coasters named overtly after females.
  17. ^I definitely want to do it, just a matter of when. Is there a minimum number of people that need to book for the tour to take place or do just more than zero people need to book? The word I got on the tour was that it was awesome and would do it again.
  18. I know someone who's on the tour today. They just sent me a photo of the badge you get with your name on it - how cute.
  19. This story is such a slow news day chestnut. Looks like the poor 'ol Demon is going to get relocated again LOL (Brisbane - Sydney - Alabama - India and back to Sydney). As usual, filed under "believe it when I see it".
  20. La Ronde will cancel out any pleasure you derive from Cedar Point or Canada's Wonderland lol. ^I have no advice about Singapore. I've been on such tight stopovers on the way to Europe that I haven't even seen much of the airport. Looking forward to hearing about your adventures there.
  21. ^^And a ball in the mouth like Pulp Fiction? From what I've heard from people who did the SF Version they were impressed and I'm talking about people not easily impressed. At least as an upcharge it should regulate demand and be more manageable. At SF parks where it's free I'm hearing horror stories about how the lines have been blowing out. I'll probably do it once to check it out. AA is ride I don't mind missing personally on a typical visit.
  22. But if it's a 10 instead of an 8 person group you will have 20% less fun. In all seriousness I'm really impressed by this and look forward to doing next time I'm up.
  23. @skeetafly Superman Escape - happy now backseat moderator? Like the actual moderators have stated, they have a pretty good set-up for ranking coasters based on reviews, and the number one result is going to be pretty obvious anyway. Why don't you a have a go at the other non-serious replies while you're at it keyboard warrior? Ooops I fed a troll, no more from me.
  24. SuperBatman for the win. Can I also include the coasters I pretend I'm riding while on the LPS Wild Mouse lol?
