Luna Park Sydney confirms Tango Train closure
I was on the train going over the bridge yesterday, it looked like there was some working going on, but it was hard to tell from that distance. Anyone seen the site up close this week?

Aussie World: new attraction/s 2016
A dragon wagon would be a big ride for Aussie World.

Cedar Point - Valravn - World's Tallest, Fastest, Longest Dive Coaster
^If only they could afford it. It's ironic my fave coaster at CP is 105 feet tall, but I love the big coasters too. I've been on a few dive coasters, the drops are fun, but not a lot happens otherwise. It's impressive how they've jammed it into that space between Raptor and Millennium Force.

What parks do you plan to visit in 2016? And what did you do in 2015?
^I could have done better lol, really it's just what I did, it was fun to reflect on 2015. I never bother going to Disney when I'm in LA, prefer Halloween haunts and coasters - so lazy. 2015 was actually a lean year compared to years I've done Theme Park Review tours. Oh I forgot. I did Adventure World in Perth in January 2016.

What parks do you plan to visit in 2016? And what did you do in 2015?
2015 Luna Park Melbourne, Wonderland Fun Park (Melbourne, yes I got the credit), Luna Park Sydney, Movie World (Gold Coast), Sea World (Gold Coast), Dreamworld (Gold Coast), Adventuredome, Fun Spot America, Fun Spot Kissimmee, Busch Gardens Tampa, Epcot, Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom, Disney Studios Orlando, Sea World Orlando, Universal Orlando, Knott's Berry Farm, Six Flags Magic Mountain, Universal Hollywood, Queen Mary Dark Harbour (a haunt, but did have rides)...I think that's it. 2016 Actually done: Luna Park Sydney, Movie World (GC), Sea World (GC). Possibilities: probably stuff west coast USA.

ABR article "Takeover is the new theme around Ardent Leisure"
A Wanda takeover would be good, but venture capitalists are purely about profit - I mean it could go the way of Australia's wonderland if they could get away with turning the land parcel into industrial or residential.

Carnivale 2016, Movie World, Sea World & Wet'n'Wild
^In my opinion, only get stuff that is $10 or more so you get your money's worth. I thought the clam chowder was good (though I note the stand was identified as the corn cobb stand last Sat night) - it's a large hollowed out bread bun with the chowder inside. The southern chicken was one I wanted to try but I didn't get to it.

A quick Gold Coast Trip
Bummer, I was at MW on Saturday. Green Lantern did get going eventually. It had a big line at first, but it dropped off a bit in the middle of the day. I was disappointed Superman wasn't running too, I hoped it would be going during the day like the previous week, but oh well. Sea World was ridiculous to get in on Monday too. I got there super early because they were opening at 1.30pm and I had the Shark Encounter at 2pm.

Carnivale 2016, Movie World, Sea World & Wet'n'Wild
I went on Saturday night. Ate way too much of the Millionaire's bacon, it was 2 slices for $6 and 4 for $10 - 2 slices was enough. Also did the Po Boy which was just okay, the Clam Chowder which was good, and key lime pie from the bakery. Thought the entertainment was fun, they parade had really great colour and energy. They had a meet and greet early for the Sony artist - I've never heard a bar of Dami M's music so I wasn't in for that. Got the express pass for the rides - which was certainly advisable if you wanted to ride. Superman wasn't open during the day either. I'm no expert, but it appeared the launch cable wasn't there. Good event, though it did get a bit congested in the main stage area. They probably could have moved the food places somewhere less restrictive, but maybe people would miss the stalls if they were a bit out of the way. Even though we parked on the edge of the parking lot, it did take us a while to get out.

Luna Park Sydney confirms Tango Train closure
^Awesome, Mystery Manor really makes a visit worthwhile. As others have observed, there's a lot of possibilities with combined space...let's see what they do (or don't do)...

Luna Park Sydney confirms Tango Train closure
I might go for a ride tomorrow. From the map online it looks like Mystery Manor is now gone, I'm surprised they didn't keep it for the school holidays. That was a fantastic attraction.

^So I should use all three of my Southern Sampler choices on the bacon? It's all about the bacon, no kale...

Luna Park Sydney confirms Tango Train closure
Yes good times, I found this POV video I took 6 years ago on rather warp-speed run on the T-train.

Luna Park Sydney confirms Tango Train closure
It was fun, we had some good times and laughs on it. I'll have to get there this week and have a last tango myself.

Man hospitalised after falling out of Dreamworld Log Ride
We saw people doing something similarly stupid on the rapids ride just after Christmas. Fortunately and unfortunately they didn't make that years Darwin awards. It would be a real shame if this ride got restraints because of this.

Carnivale 2016, Movie World, Sea World & Wet'n'Wild
I've got 3 choices on the sampler, so I'm thinking: Millionaire's Bacon, PO Boys, and Southern BBQ Chicken.

Carnivale 2016, Movie World, Sea World & Wet'n'Wild
The millionaire bacon sounds nice. I'm going Saturday so I might give it a go, got the Southern Sampler pass so I'll make sure I've decided what I want in advance so I can get to the stall early.

Old video footage of our Aussie theme parks in 80's/90's
Nice work Ocean Girl. I wish I'd recorded some of my early amusement park experiences. I'm not even 100% what my first ever coaster was.
