Carnivale 2016, Movie World, Sea World & Wet'n'Wild

I went on Saturday night. Ate way too much of the Millionaire's bacon, it was 2 slices for $6 and 4 for $10 - 2 slices was enough. Also did the Po Boy which was just okay, the Clam Chowder which was good, and key lime pie from the bakery. Thought the entertainment was fun, they parade had really great colour and energy. They had a meet and greet early for the Sony artist - I've never heard a bar of Dami M's music so I wasn't in for that. Got the express pass for the rides - which was certainly advisable if you wanted to ride. Superman wasn't open during the day either. I'm no expert, but it appeared the launch cable wasn't there. Good event, though it did get a bit congested in the main stage area. They probably could have moved the food places somewhere less restrictive, but maybe people would miss the stalls if they were a bit out of the way. Even though we parked on the edge of the parking lot, it did take us a while to get out. -

^Awesome, Mystery Manor really makes a visit worthwhile. As others have observed, there's a lot of possibilities with combined space...let's see what they do (or don't do)... -

I might go for a ride tomorrow. From the map online it looks like Mystery Manor is now gone, I'm surprised they didn't keep it for the school holidays. That was a fantastic attraction. -

^So I should use all three of my Southern Sampler choices on the bacon? It's all about the bacon, no kale... -

Yes good times, I found this POV video I took 6 years ago on rather warp-speed run on the T-train. -

It was fun, we had some good times and laughs on it. I'll have to get there this week and have a last tango myself. -

I've got 3 choices on the sampler, so I'm thinking: Millionaire's Bacon, PO Boys, and Southern BBQ Chicken. -

The millionaire bacon sounds nice. I'm going Saturday so I might give it a go, got the Southern Sampler pass so I'll make sure I've decided what I want in advance so I can get to the stall early. -

Poor seats, they deserve at least a plastic tarp over them, even if it is a carnie ride with fixed foundations. -

^Yes I've heard it doesn't make you sick like a simulator. I know I struggle with some simulators. Funnily I really had to fight the barf doing an aerobatic flight last year, it felt like a simulator lol just with serious g forces. I agree with djrappa that they are putting this on some really good coasters rather than lacklustre rides is a shame. I mean Superman at Six Flags New England has it, which is disappointing because it's an awesome coaster already and based on the anecdotal evidence so far, lines will be scary. -

Apparently, the deal with Six Flags is being paid for by Samsung. From what I hear from a local friend, the headsets are already falling apart at Magic Mountain and they are running short waiting for parts. Though he said he was impressed with the experience at the media day. I also see a report on Screamscape that wait time for the VR coaster at Six Flags Over Georgia has tripled with the introduction of VR headsets, the case in point reported said the usual 1 hour point in the queue took 2hr 55min. I was surprised that people I know were impressed with the experience, but I don't know how practical it will be in the long run. -

^Well that was a good ad for it. Now the SLC nut will sign up. I'll probably get a press release about it while I'm sleep walking tonight. -

Ha how do you get that highest of coaster geek honours? I was a mod on ozcoaster lol. Back to Doomsday, I hope this will be the start of more rides in the future. I'm there's some simple, but effective flats they could throw in there in the future. -

If this carnie ride was at another park I wouldn't even ride it, still undecided if I'll ride the Movie World one. Should be a lively precinct though (a grave yard is livelier than what it was). So what's this about another SLC LOL, duelling SLCs, the greatest thing since duelling banjos. -
^Was Rainbow the Falling Star ride? I believe that was at Homebush for a while, though I haven't been to the Easter Show in a long time (I only went because I was seeing the Chilli Peppers at Superdome that night), but the last time I was there I did I ride it, very cool ride. A Falling Star would be cool at Luna Park Sydney, and while they're at it, bring in a Hurricane and a Zipper...and an Intamin Strata Coaster (ok just kidding about that last one).

^I've seen Samantha Jade in a woolies commercial and she played Kylie Minogue in the INXS mini-series. I know Danni Im is representing AUS at Eurovision. As you see I'm very knowledgeable and not interested enough to google. -

Fantastic report, at least you missed the reported 12 hour waits that had been occurring for the new coaster.
