Riddle me this- Yesterday Savvy14 saw three men sleeping on the street, of whom he thought were all homeless. Two of the men are bad people and one is a good person. Today Savvy14 sees one of the men he saw yesterday, in a big house. This man owns the house. Today the three men gave their statements: Man A says, “Today I am homeless.” He gave no statements about yesterday or tomorrow. Driving to work today I noticed the boys from Logan City Demolitions turning up to MW. Time for the boys with their big toys, I think.

I'm trying to tune into this conversation but I can’t follow it. (I'm at Sea World now. Just went past the old fun pool on the monorail and it all looks intact so far. Water has been drained from the pools though. I'll try to get some photos shortly.) What is this new attraction push? Title “Sea World New Attraction 2016 “ What I know now. 1. Pool empty. 2. I'm with @Brad2912 on this one. @Levithian Why do you think a coaster would need an OPW? If you go back to Storm Coaster it confirms village building procedure for new developments. Storm Coaster- July Applications lodged – August Demo started – January First footings stated to be formed up. – February first coaster parts stated arriving on site. So six months after works first started on site too first parts started rolling up. New Coaster November Applications lodged- February Demo started- Footings to come then parts will start to arrive.

No way would that keep Push happy. Even if you stuck it in the biggest ass shed. Even if it was so dark that you couldn’t see your own hand. Push would not be happy. Push would say “I wish it didn’t go so fast”, I wish I had smellavision”, “I wish it wasn’t so high” and I wish it didn’t have hills”.

The problem that I have with queues is I get bored. If I wait 1 hour in a MW line I think, F this but I can spend 2 hours in a Disney line and not think much about it. The key to me is movement. Every time I get into a Disney line it feels like I’m moving. I don’t get the chance to get too bored because I am doing something by moving. MW queues on the other hand don’t move. So now Skeet is stuck inline and it's not moving. Skeet thinks F this. It’s hot, the person in front of me smells and the 12 year old girls behind me won’t shut. To top it off the line looked like it was a 30min wait when I first lined up but I didn’t know that there were 100’s of more people in front of me in a virtual line from outer space.

I would love to see that too but going on MW current record they would stuff up the operation of any new ride. The problem I have with fast passes is it affects other guest experiences. MW & DW can only accommodate so many guest per ride a day. If a fast pass rider ends up with an extra 10 rides a day then it takes the 10 rides away from other guest. If the parks need to make this extra money I think putting up ticket prices and running on a Disney system would be better. Fast Pass is like when you realise your Tim Tam packet now have one less in the packet it but you still have to pay the same price as you did before. So what happens next year? Dose Arnott’s put up the price or do they remove another Tim Tam from the packet?

The reason I ask the question and I could be wrong is- I’m just using the Logride as an example because what I’m talking about is over accentuated on this ride. If the Logride had platforms on the other side of the load station would it be quicker, slower or the same to move a log on? I know most of the time they don’t run an extra staff at the unload area but if they did would it be better to have that person in the load area getting people onto the log. You wait to load looking back at the ride watching the ride stop, guest get out and then it has to get going again. If it just had one stopping area then that would remove the log having to stop and start again. I’m think the reason why you never have a log ready to go is that over the years logs have been removed and not replaced. So where ride is easy to get off and not complicated like the motor coaster, would it not be quicker to have the staff member helping with the load and opening the gates as soon as it arrives? If I remember correctly I think this is how the Thunderbolt ran in the beginning. Richard you don't need to re-answer my post, you pretty much answered my post while I was writing the post and getting myself a beer. It’s like we have a connection and you read my mind. LOL

Thanks Richard. I agree with your shout for 1 rider can be a time waster. Having a train loaded in dispatch and waiting for 1 person to push past 40 people is slow. Just last week when I went on WWF they pulled me and my buddy trough the line to fill a boat. The problem with that is by the time we got to the boat they had to dispatch the next boat empty because of the boats started lining up. I think the organisation of riders before they are loaded onto the ride is the most important thing to do to reduce times. Another random skeet question for anyone that knows. When a Roller Coaster has a separate unload and dispatch area, does this make a difference in reducing queue times?

@Richard Where do the stats for rides like Wild West Falls come from? Capacity (per hour) 1440 people per hour

Thanks for the photo @djrappa I was looking at it he other day and never noticed the service stairs. I might need to get my eyes checked. Relating to our last discussion I think I need to mention why a BA has a completion by date. The National Construction Code. The National Construction Code or the NCC which once went by the Building code of Australia. Around every May each year a revised NCC is released. NCC is, it’s the Bible for construction. Skeet story time. When I first finished schooling I worked one of the biggest house builder in QLD. The company I worked for had enough land in stock to last them for the next 20 years. Every year leading up to the new BCA which it was called at that time. We would go over what was going to be changed in the new edition. Most of the times it was minor things but sometime it was major changes. Anything that added cost to a new dwelling would be consider major. So what all the major builders do is before the new changes come into effect they lodge as many application as they can. The upside for the builder was say when we had to start energy rating houses to get a BA. The change added around $3000.00 to one dwelling. If the builder prolonged the new change as long as possible it would mean the builder could sell the house $3000.00 dollars cheaper than another builder could. The problem with this is if a builder had 20 years stock of with BA on all of them, by the time they were complete they would be 20 years behind the NCC. That’s the reason why you get a completion date. It’s the governments way to inforce the changes into the buildings over a 2 year period. When a certifier goes out to do his/her inspections during the build he doesn’t goes of the current rules but the rules at the time of approval. This is the reason for stage approvals. A good example is the for ever coming Coomera Town Centre. This had a building approval a while ago but between the approval process and the build Westfield have changed their mind again for whatever reason and now don’t want to build the new centre all at once. If BA lasted forever Westfield could have just built to a point and finished the rest of the building 10 years later. Westfield have ended having to lodge a new stage approval for the part of they want to build. As per my example this means when the 2nd stage goes ahead a new application will be lodged and it will be built to the correct code. Because no one can confirm or deny or even share how close they are to the source which is 100% ok, this is the best I can come up with. We all know there is a lot of application but the trouble is we don’t know how they are all link together. My theory is below- It’s pretty safe to assume that the roller coaster has nothing to do with the camp sites. So I put the camp site to one side. The lakeside area or the Entertainment area may both be connected to the roller coaster or have no connection at all. The Roller Coaster is going ahead first. The lakeside and entertainment area are going ahead but not for a while. The Roller Coaster is going to be part of one of the new areas, if not both but the new areas will not be built till a later date. Because the Coaster is within one of the new areas then the work needs to start as it may not be able to be completed once a roller coaster is in the way. That is the reason for the stage approvals. Theory only until I’m proven wrong again.
