  1. Alexb This year they did not punch a hole in my ticket. It was scanned every day I went in. I believe the numbers work the other way because with every adult ticket you could take a kid under 15 in for free. The kid did not have a ticket so only the adult ticket was scanned. The figures from the amount of paying people would be a lot lower then entry numbers. I have been 7 times and have never paid once. Last year I ended up with 16 free 3 days passes that I gave away. This year I only ended up with 2 three day passes. They get the money back anyway for us non-paying people. $9.50 = 1 can of Jim Beam or $6.00 = 1 can of coke.
  2. Interesting. From ninemsn. Police have confirmed Adelene did meet the minimum height requirement for the ride of 120cm.
  3. MickeyD my recollection of the train accident was: A train maintenance worker was reversing a train back into the shed when the trains collided. If I remember correctly it was not a train engine that was being used by the engineer on track but a maintenance buggy that could move the carriages around. From what I also remember from back in those days was the work on the trains was not completed by Dreamworld but by volunteers from a QLD train club.
  4. Richard, can you issue me with a warning point? I want to know what people are talking about.
  5. A lady jumped off it once.
  6. Yea I was just thinking what would you call it.
  7. Hey AlexB would you call it a rollback?
  8. What is going on with the paint job for the counterweights? I thought they would have anchor points for the cables instead of scratching the paintwork.
  9. I imagine the colour scheme would work better if they blended the paint as an alternative of using harsh lines.
  10. Thankyou for that and I hope you wrong but you do have a good case.
  11. Thanks for asking. I'm interested in the engineering of rides. So when they pull a ride like this apart I like to know what they are doing to it and who is doing the work. It's a bit hard to see what is going on when it's back together. AlexB you make me laugh.
  12. I was asking Brad2912 the question? I thought he had insider information of what was happening to the Wipeout. You are presently speculating of what could be occurring to the Wipeout. I have witnessed numerous individuals saying the Wipeout is offsite. I’m asking those people who say its offsite is: How they know? Where is the Wipeout? I don’t consider you to be one of the people that said it was offsite. If you are this person then inform me how you became familiar with this information? I am not asking you to answer for other people.
  13. I know all that AlexB. What I want to know is the reason some people are saying it's not at Dreamworld. Is it because they can't see it? Is it because they know it's location?
  14. Why would they send it offsite? What would be the purpose of that? I would think that the staff that work on rides everyday would have the best skills to repair it.
  15. I'm on the phone at the moment and do not have access to a computer. If no one puts it up by tomorrow I will go online and get the plans for it. In relation to the big brother house. If the house gets removed it does not mean the show will be cancelled. It could be a great chance for them to rebuild the house/shed.
  16. Dreamworld sold that land a few years ago for the new town centre. This might be the last year that the house is there. I've uploaded a google image above with the boundaries on top. Most people already know this but for people who don't. Dreamworld sell off was going to go across the car park in front of the house. When Dreamworld went to sub-divide the land to sell it. The qld government wanted the land on either side of the creek given to them. Which means no one could ever build near the creek. Dreamworld did not end up selling the land near the creek and because the boundary did not change around the creek they did not have to hand it over to the government. This leaves Dreamworld with a lot more land then people think they own.
  17. The land that big brother house is located is leased.
  18. Do you mean the wipeout is sitting in the maintenance shed and they are bringing parts from off site to it or do you mean the wipeout has been placed on the back of a truck and removed from Dreamworld to be repaired?
  19. Thanks Brad2912 the confusion on my part was probably due seeing it on Movie World’s web site.
