  1. It says "may not be available for the entire duration of each day" Never says it won't open for a full day. The email reads if you turn up, sometime that day ST will be open. With DW cutting the preview short, I wouldn't be rushing to DW tomorrow thinking it will be open.
  2. I wouldn’t divulge it was going to open & I wouldn't make it an annually pass holder event. I believe Rivals had a A-frame sign up at the front of the ride explaining what was going on.
  3. In comparison to I paid less for DW & VR combined for the year, yes, it is but at the same time GC parks are crazy cheap. It would be interesting to compare the cost for items like food, once you enter the park.
  4. Are there any deals going on the annual pass?
  5. I don't know if it was a coincidence, people not engaging the seatbelt fully or there is a time limit between seatbelt engaging and confirmation by the ride attendant, but the seats people were “self-seat belting” were the seats that had to be unlocked and relocked more frequently. Yes, DW communication has been poor. I was under the impression parks had in house social media teams.
  6. 10km/h is the answer you are looking for but in reality the speed as you enter into the first element is 15km/h slower. Rivals probably doesn’t slow down any more than ST at the end except Mack is using the illusion of speed for ST towards the end.
  7. Some nice photos @Gazza. After riding it what are your thoughts on the triple launch?
  8. If you want to see some serous shake, rattle and roll, watch the stairs to the trim brakes as the train passes over. If you see a nervous rider in the queue it’s a good time to point it out..🤣
  9. When ST finally opened yesterday the spinning train remained in the maintenance shed. You could clearly see inside the bay as you exited the ride and DW were working under the train on the wheel assemblies. The problem wasn't is being a soft opening, most people understood what that meant. Problems arrived yesterday because guest were getting mixed information so the communication could have been better. Dependent on who you talked to you would get a different answer. Don't have opinion that doesn’t praise the park. After riding it 5 times yesterday afternoon I started to write up a review but when I proofread it, I decided I was being overly picky and didn’t think it was fair on DW because overall it is a decent ride. ST is the ride DW needed, and you can tell it has lifted the morale of the staff around the park. The staff were generally excited & happy, and it rubbed off onto the guess. People should give it a go and If I had one hot tip in would be to sit up the very back and I preferred the inside.
  10. A lot of disappointed people turning up to DW today only to be told ST won't be opening today. Some people posting they were told at the gate ride will now not be opening again to Wednesday.
  11. Oh well looks like MW gets my money tomorrow. 100% pointless visiting DW with the amount of rides down for maintenance. Also over DW pulling a Peter Foster and knowing ride isn't coming out if maintenance but advertising otherwise.
  12. That's a really good wait time for Scooby. White Christmas is the only time I go on rides during a night event @ MW. I don't know what was going on with Rivals but most of the night they sent the train around empty. It opened up about 5 times but after sending a couple of loaded trains around it would go back to sending empty trains around.
  13. What is the point of theming a ride when you can't be bothered to theme the ride attendant?
  14. That's great you got to ride it. Were they running the spinning car train?
  15. Road Runner opened up at sometime because I got to try out the new trains. Superman was a walk on.
  16. Because Tigers are know to put their driver into the wrong bag when drunk.
  17. Who has their buddie smuggles dusted off ready for tomorrow?
  18. That's because I didn't know they served beer there.
  19. Knock, knock! Who’s there? Boo. Boo who? Don't take away our beer dreams.
  20. I like the idea of a microbrewing but what I don't like is a microbrewery at theme park prices.
  21. @Coaster HipsterWith the testing now underway on Hurricane, Mack has certainly lifted the pacing.
  22. Being able to ride Rivals 4 times in a row says people are leaving the park during they day.
