I have seen new ideas getting tested but I have not seen many complete builds. Mack have a department that runs in house test. Mack also has the advantage owning a theme park where they can retrofit a ride and carry out large scale test.

What do you mean by test fits?

You don't have to go to America to find things engineers have got wrong. A lot of things you walk past all the time, like the performance centre in Brisbane had major engineering flaws. Cross bracing only installed because during construction the splayed walls failed. Trying to remember, but didn't a post/column on Rivals get modified during construction because of a clearance issue?

A pull through isn't just to check the rider envelope. Many components can be checked during a pull through. Brake alignment, sensors getting triggered, undercarriage clearance, train hook alignment, train binding etc. I know at one stage, coaster standards in America required all coasters to undergo a pull through. I don't know if this is still the case in America.

And in theory you could do it on any train.

Nobody is holding their arms out during a pull through to see if their arms hit. /s The envelope guide they attach to the train would measure the worst case no matter what train it is fixed to.

I'm reading they are looking at rides for the future but haven't locked anything in. Also if you read the part about the hotel, Ardent haven't locked anyone in yet for that project either.

I don't know how many transparent slides get built. I know there is one on a cruse ship but I can't recall another. A person who loves a slide is @Gazzaso he might know.

The water slide in the concept looks to be a tunnel style slide, so I hope you have x-ray vision.😂

Aren't the circumstances by that time they are looking to open things back up? I know QLD and WA have been wishy-washy on the matter but NSW have been solid on what will happen when targets are met.
