  1. I hope DW didn't engage th same people who did the GD lighting.
  2. Lot 3 is no doubt going up for sale. DW might be looking to lease parts of lot 1 for the new hotel/ caravan park. Or DW might sell it and lease back the car park. (don't know) Oakey Creek is like a mother-in-law. Something you can never get rid and it serves no purpose. DW are taking about adding boardwalks and creating an area for you to pitch your tent at Oakey creek. (probably never happen but that is the intent of the precinct)
  3. The application is seeking 3 outcomes. 1. Creating a new DW Development Code 2. Lot boundary realignment 3. Vegetation Clearing. The new land classification and lot boundary realignment don’t totally align with each other. After the approval Ardent will end up 4 precincts and 3 lots of land.
  4. After reading the MCU last week, I'm more of the belief then I was before, the approval is about improving the value of the land so Ardent can flog the excess land off and make a buck.
  5. Nah, Cal sounds like a Brisbanite who wants to call the GC home. Nobody is poaching Brisbanites.
  6. Very rare to catch a Calamari on the GC. You can catch Arrow squid, which taste ok in the Broadwater, but no Calamari.😁
  7. Not to many 4 year olds have seen the Titanic. We need to keep in mind who the splash pad is for.
  8. Control room. I like the idea but Cal needs to get off the smokes and the name is dumb. Why not go a gender neutral name so Cal could have a female or male operator. Also the interactive screen in the area is a big fail because you can't see for half of the day. Overall, for a splash pad, DW has done a good job.
  9. Should have been named Sheppard on Main Street then.
  10. Has Music on Main turned out to be only a 15min show by Sheppard? 🤪
  11. If this isn't a Disney knock off, then my name isn't bob.
  12. Surprised they named a ride after a one night stand. Humpty, Dumpty.
  13. Hot, stuffy and smelt funny, that's how I remember the Monorail. And stay out!
  14. I've always been under the impression staff don't work on the same attraction all day. 🤷‍♂️ If what I believe to be true is true, they can't send you home if your next ride for the day is open. A ride attendant I know, told me when multiply rides go down, you have many staff with nothing to do but they aren't allowed to go home.
  15. I wouldn't be buying any fish that came from Asia either.
  16. I don't know how many coasters in our parks are built in Asia.
  17. If the Chinese tile roof was laid in the traditional way, very different because roof battens aren't installed and the tiles a fixed to a bedding of mortar. But if they are fake traditional tiles, probably not very different.
  18. That happens if you don't maintain something. Thatching is just an example of a cheap option, shingles also gives a beach hut feel.
  19. It's obvious DW are being tight-arses with the roofs but it could have been as simple as removing the tiles and thatching the roofs.
  20. All Asian architecture should have been removed with the change of lands. The East Asian hip roof does not belong in this land and the transition form rock to building makes no sense. Hopefully there is more to come to improve it.
  21. It's because you sat on your phone your egg hatched.
