  1. If your missus wanted to ride as well (not sure if she's a thrill junkie or not like you) you could even utilize the parent swap along with the single rider queue to really maximize your time Also, having a system similar to Mick Doohan would prove to be an issue due to the automatic doors that block people seeing superman on the back of the train...
  2. I wouldn't expect to ever see Cartoon Network back at VRTP properties... they had it for a while at Sea World and they got rid of it... IMO the Kids WB area and the Western area should be the two areas they focus on after JL:AI 3D is done.
  3. Honestly... I think Movie World has enough roller coasters for now. The park has just brought 2 roller coasters in the last year (if you include the Arkham rehab as honestly it's made it so much better it's like it's new) And has just built a high capacity dark ride. What i'd like to see them build next is something in the kids area as they need something more. Although they are refurbishing the existing children's rides (Speedy's Taxi's and Yosemite Sam Railroad) I'd love to see something in the Tunes Ride building, but it would be quite expensive for them to gut the building and place something else in there i'd assume. So if they were to not place something in the kids area next, I'd love to see a new flat ride in the park. However it would need to be something that is high capacity (at least 24 riders a cycle) so something like a Top Spin as far as capacity goes. Then once they have built a new flat, and done something to the kids area we could consider another coaster or a water ride for the park.
  4. Well... that was a waste of everyones night Everyone knew it was too good to be true if Dreamworld got something like a 10 inversion Intamin
  5. I think i've seen once in the xmas holidays a 10am show, 11am show, 12:30pm show, 1:50pm show and a 4:15pm show. I think (don't quote me on it) the most they do is 5 shows in a day, often 4 in peak (no 12:30pm show) and the 10am is only in xmas holidays as far as I am aware when the park was opening at 9:30am.
  6. Depends if Ardent wanted to release those figures for the survey, only parks that agreed to submit attendance details are included if i'm not mistaken.
  7. The "Grilled Cheese" one is just creepy as hell... I mean seriously, it looks like Elmer Fudd is about to make out with the sandwich! I love "I'm a Martian" though =D
  8. Also, ricks did a all you can drink deal for I think it was 4.95 and you got a cup you could refill in the cafe all day. Not sure if it will be coming back when it reopens but I can't see why it wouldn't.
  9. IMO Bermuda was one of Australia's best themed attractions, and was a ride that would never get old and could be enjoyed by families of all ages (Pre Jet Rescue Days) However, it was disgusting to see how it was left to rot so to speak in the months before closing...
  10. Here's a layout that I whipped up on paint earlier tonight of Bermuda, it's not to scale or anything but it's pretty accurate.
  11. The person driving that car was probably thinking "Well... this is awkward... I wonder if i'll get in trouble for that one!" But then again, compared to the last fail in that show at the park... this is nothing.
  12. Lethal is also getting a whole extra month of Maintenence, instead of going down on the 27th of FEB it's going down on the 27th of JAN instead.
  13. And now I have a strange urge for some Dippin Dots! Seriously... they are awesome!
  14. It's apparently in storage and reopening... like the rest of Downunderland But I *CAN* Verify that it was there at one point as I did see it myself.
  15. According to a post on Australian Amusement Fanatics a few years ago, the old Dreamworld enterprise was a Ferrari unit that ended up finding it's way to Downunderland where is is now probably either rusted away or in storage. Posts by Funderstruck
  16. http://youtu.be/-WiO5j89hwU WARNING: STRONG CONTENT / SOME COURSE LANGUAGE . Not recommended for anyone under 13. You mean someone like this?
  17. For a start, Taz's Hollywood Car's are not battery operated... your most likely confusing them with Speedy Gonzale's Tijuana Taxi's. Taz's Hollywood Cars use the same floor pick up system as the larger dodgem car's in Intencity. The only difference is the big dodgems are built by Preston and Barberi, and the Taz Cars are by Zamperla. I will agree however about Taz Cars being quite worn down and in need of a rehab.
  18. I personally find the Green Lantern Oath much more annoying... "GREEN LANTERN'S LIGHT!" *Shudders*
  19. I have ridden Sea Viper several times, and I find them anything but comfortable. Several people that I know who have been on it have said the exact same thing.
  20. The onboard audio was out of action from around 11:30am... technical difficulties apparently. One thing that I thought was REALLY poor of them today was around 3:30pm they announced that the ride was going to close to add an extra train to "increase capacity" so it went from 4 trains to 5... this whole process took around 40 minutes and the coaster didn't open till around 4:15pm... IMO it would have been better to not bother adding the 5th carriage so late in the day and just keep loading the ride... turned a 40 minute queue into nearly 90 minutes...I will say though, the staff on the ride really did do the best they could to keep moving the queue through today... but the loading procedure really does seem very complex and frustrating. Unloading 2 carriages first while 1 is behind it waiting to come into the station... then loading the 2 and moving them both forward while one starts the ride and the other waits for the train ahead to clear the block before moving forward again (much like scooby doo.) This system works well for rides like scooby as the cars are moving very often whereas with Green Lantern there is almost always 4 trains in the station whilst one maybe 2 are on the circuit...
  21. Yeah... but they are uncomfortable as hell if you ask me (Kumbak) I just find it still ironic that Efteling removed the Kumbak ones...
  22. I am quite concerned about the Kumbak trains to be honest... especially considering that Python at Efteling got the same trains as Sea Viper did and just over 5 years later removed them for the new Vekoma trains based on comfort... Not to mention how uncomfortable Sea Viper has become with the new trains... I've heard nothing but praise from the new Vekoma trains (inverted and standard) and I really do wish that Movie World had gone with their trains instead of the Kumbak ones...
