Article: Village Theme Parks introduce new ticket options
Spotty replied to Richard's topic in Theme Park Discussion
LOL... I suppose I should tell you this story... I was lining up for TOT a few months ago, and I snavelled a Front seat ride and I was sitting next to 2 American people, And I got to know them a bit, thn I found out there was about 20 of them, and they asked me to show them around the park. At around lunchtime, they asked where to go for lunch, so we ended up going to billabong buffet, For 20 of us with the discount, it cost them 300 dollars, so I saved them $80 for lunch, so for that they shouted me lunch, and a drink, I also brought all there things for them with the discount, I then later found out that they were over here for some olympic thing. Lets just say... the peanut butter sandwiches didn't get eaten that day... -
Yes, this has gone far enough, sure I do feel sorry for Dreamworld_Rulz here, as he has copped a bit of flack about this (partly me) But I WILL say this, if Movie World Was not running 2 trains they are either A: Very Stupid, or B: Something is wrong with train 2, I am leaning towards B. Another funny note is they seem to be using SDSC's signs lol
-
^ They might not have been ABLE To say why, and I think i'm going to take Rabid Disney's Side on this, as he works there, i'd presume he's right, in saying that there was indeed 2 trains running those days. Try waiting 90 Mins for Cyclone before complaining about Movie World.

Seriously, Lethal VERY Rarely runs 2 trains, except at Christmas! And... did you ever think that the 2nd train could be broken? I have also noticed, that Superman does breakdown more often when it's running 2 trains, and the park also mught not have expected it, So stop your whinging and be grateful that you even get to go, as I know alot of people that wish they could go but they cant! And do you expect to get your full moneys worth if you dont rock up to a park till 3pm? Also, stop bagging out the parks, they try there hardest, but it seems to most people, that it's NEVER enough, Seriously, theres gonna be a few problems, thats all fine and wonderful to send a NICE e-mail with feedback, instead of bagging them out in front of everyone! I mean, you want all these new rides, and they might need to cut down on a few small things i.e trains running to afford it, I mean you complain about 45 Minute waits, where Tower Of Terror, Giant Drop, Cyclone at Dreamworld is upwards of a hour! Not trying to be oscar the grouch but I seriously dont like coming here, and finding people full on bagging the place out, sure if you have a MAJOR problem with the park, bring it up with them, but not some stupid immature petty thing like "this line is too big" and this yelling at the person with the height stick is just plain stupid, I mean he is only doing his job, so instead of holding him and everyone else up (making the line larger) just put up with it like everyone else!

Just a further bit of Information on the ThrillSeeker / Taipan, Max Laurie and Peter Short now own it, and it travels the East Coast.
-
Oh... does the Tower Of Terror ever have sensors!!! It checks the location of that Pod every milliseccond or so (unsure of the number exactly), and if the Pod is not in the right place at the right time you get the "Drive Trip"where it slows down at the launch, and has to be pulled back in. If the Pod's location is lost on the return trip or the power goes out, you get what is called a Emergency Brake (or E-brake) where it zooms through the station and goes into the "Bog Area" or Emergency Braking Zone. Once this happens, the Pod has to be winched out. In Regards to the question about Scooby Doo Spooky Coaster, The way that the system works is that there are sensors at various locations around the track, These sensors are often confused with the Green Box on the track (to dectect the car's location) But I think there is a black bar between the 2 sensors, that dectect the harness status. Now... before anyone chucks a spasm... I am not 100% on this, but I am fairly sure... someone feel free to correct me!
-
Ahhh... dont worry about that happening... or the brakes failing, thats what the "bog" area is for lol, but seriously, it is safe and it is absolutly AMAZING

WLS...Best? Fairest?.. Who remembers these Moments Awards?

That would have been... um... interesting to see lol -
This looks like fun! I think i'll have to head down for this one, provided theres public transport afterwards! I was always hoping MW would do this!
-
^^ Asking the operator doesn't always work, it depends how busy it is, and how nice the operator is.
-
That is one of the things I HATE about Superman, wheras on almost any other roller-coaster, you can choose where you sit, even if that means barreling through the upstairs scene on TOT To get a front seat
-
Chances are it WILL be 2 trains on the track, but if they are loading 2 trains is the next Question, as if it's too quiet they lockdown a train, and then take it off the tracks.
-
I dont exactly know where you are coming from, But I can give you a possible reason for those rides running (excluding Snowy River Rampage) But they might have been running if there were people roaming the park, looking at potentially buying the rides (Demon, SP7 Ect)

^ LMAO!!! Someone DROVE the Flintstones Mobile on the M4! I would have paid good money to see that one!! -
For the most force on the Launch, I suggest sitting in carriage 2 (Gate 4) as that is where the catch car attaches to. For the most airtime, sit in the front carriage (Gate 5) or for the best feeling of speed, and roughest ride sit in carriage 5 (Gate 1) But be aware, unlike Lethal Weapon, you can not choose where you sit, unless you do some sucking up to the Ride Op.
-
Well, Seeing as Hex isn't a roller-coaster ,I dont think it would be like that But if it WASN'T a roller-coaster, I'd want to see a Pandora's Box.
-
^ Nice pick up there Bussy! I remember riding that beast and then it broke...
-
I would assume so, as i've seen people wearing them but your better off asking someone like Tony.
-
^ Hmmm... Chances are you would have seen me there =P The freakazoid in the Giant Drop Shirt =D
-
^ And another first would be... News NOT coming to this site first =P Havn't seen that one happen before lol, and methinks it will be quite some time!

Um... I have waited much shorter times for Superman: Escape, even LESS than 5 Mins at times, You just need to know when to go. This "Superman never runs 2 trains" is also a load of Codswallop, I went down there VERY breifly on Tuesday ( I needed my S:E Fix) I waited 10 minutes to get on due to 2 Train operation. One of the reasons you rarely see 2 trains on the Circut is because in the quieter times, it's just not worthwhile running 2 trains, as it costs too much. However in the busier periods (such as the holidays) Chances are you will see Superman : Escape running 2 Trains. There has even been a report that Lethal Weapon is also running 2 trains (something that doesn't often happen) Allthough, the lines are significantly longer with 1 train on Superman, because of the way the Station ect. was organised.

No where at this stage as it is still being re-furbished.
