  1. Buzzsaw has been on the website for maintenance for at least 2 - 3 weeks... As far as WipeOut and Shockwave goes, rides can have unexpected faults that happen causing a temporary closure (sometimes it may not reopen for the whole day) and they may not get the time to reprint the page straight away... these things happen.
  2. I'm gonna go ahead and say it's likely to be themed to The Walking Dead... of course Dreamworld is going to want to cash in on this franchise as much as possible.
  3. How is the show stage close to the "Hub" it's at the opposite end of the park to all the DC attractions. If anything it's in the western area...
  4. Either that or it just wasn't washed in a long time I do have a funny feeling that your right as the Arkham facades would be roughly the same height as the darker colored walls on the SD warehouse.
  5. The Scooby building was always there and roughly the same height as far as I'm aware. The building was modified where the lift shaft and turntables are to be slightly taller to house the mechanics required for them (Moreso the lift than turntable)
  6. Also, the BOOST Juice bar at Dreamworld pricing is about the same as stores outside of the theme park. About $6.50 for an original (large) size juice.
  7. Not sure if you read the above posts or not... but it was an april fools joke...
  8. There isn't camera's in those pillars... that's why the ride has staff to observe the ride... as each seat can be seen by one of the 2 staff members.
  9. The video on Batwing must have been installed when it was down for rehab... I know they were looking at installing on ride PHOTOS for a while on the ride, but video footage is a step up and IMO I think it would be a good thing. Hopefully Batwing is not the only ride that gets this system... If you don't mind me asking, did you see how the cameras were mounted onto the ride? Did they install like a scream shield or something on the seats to mount them on or what?
  10. The green lantern oath never was and never has been recited going up the lift hill... maybe you were still hearing things from being stuck in the line for too long...Also Arkham's audio has been fairly consistent since the audio was installed unlike green lemon. It hasn't had consistent audio since the 2012 flooding but it's good to see it being fixed.
  11. It would not have been for just a paint job I can promise you that... the ride got a full cosmetic overhaul just one year ago including a paintjob...There must have been another reason for it, If it was a paintjob they would have a rough idea how long it would take and would give a timeframe not "Until further notice" that generally means that they have no idea how long it will take and is unexpected... Unless your Dreamworld who just never say how long it's going to be closed for now.
  12. I'd be more game to estimate it's about 7.8m squared
  13. Scooby Doo does not have a weight limit for the cars, but the harness does need to lock down a few clicks to register as locked on the control panel. So either the green or white light (depending which car your in) needs to stop flashing on the console before the operator can send the car. This ride can be really hit and miss, i've seen some guests which I thought would fit easily that have not... and some guests that I thought there was no way in hell they would... and they have. As far as Tower of Terror goes, the harness is similar to Superman (the outside seats do have the arm cage which could make the ride restrictive). But i'd say you might have more luck on Superman as the seatbelt on Tower of Terror isn't extendable like Superman.
  14. The best advice I can give you is BEFORE lining up for rides like Superman or Green Lantern at movie world is speaking to the entry host and asking if you can test the seat before lining up. That way it saves you the embarrassment if you are unable to fit on the ride and wasting time lining up. As far as Scooby Doo goes, it's very odd with regards to larger guests. However I can suggest sitting in the back row of the car as there is more legroom which makes it easier to spread out if required. Batwing the harness does NOT need to touch you, as long as the seatbelt is done up you will be OK to ride. Superman will require all 3 safety checks to pass, which includes being able to see a yellow line of stitching on the seatbelt, the lap-bar touching your legs and making sure you can move side to side in the seat comfortably. Wild West Falls is also pretty accommodating, but once again each seat / lap bar is ever so slightly different but if your unsure if you will fit i'd suggest riding in your own row to ensure the most likely success. One last tip with scoobs, if you have any bags either leave them in a locker or have someone else riding with you place them between your feet to give you the most room possible. If you have any further questions about Scooby, Batwing, Wild West Falls or Superman restrictions please feel free to PM me and i'll try my best to help out...
  15. Generally they will not close the ride during the day, but they have in the past when it's been something like a guests bag that has something like a passport in it. Especially if they KNOW where it dropped out it can really speed up the process. But most of the time things don't survive
  16. If they made everyone put items in lockers like at superman for Scooby Doo it would increase load time and unload time amazingly. Maybe then the ride could run 18 cars on the track instead of the 14 - 16 that they use now. However if they were to implement lockers on any other rides than superman / GL they should be linked with the VIP pass barcode (and certainly free with the VIP Gold Pass... and an optional upgrade for say $15 for the life of your pass. Scan the VIP pass, opens up the locker. For guests that don't have VIP passes / don't want to opt in... make it say $5 for a wristband like Wet n Wild that is unlimited entry for all the smaller lockers (or larger if required) But keep it limited to 1 hour (or if it's busy enable the supervisor of the ride to be able to extend the time from the control room) 5 dollars for unlimited locker hire on all the rides would be a great deal, and say with Scooby Doo... it wouldn't be as strict such as with hats, wallets etc. But bags (any bigger than say a small woman's handbag / satchel bag) should ideally go in a locker to prevent them flying out of the cars (and trust me... they do fly out more often than you would think...) That's just my opinion on the lockers at Movie World. $2 for an hour is just outrageous really... $1 was tollerable.
  17. It could be a new ride, a new kids ride is big enough to warrant something being in the ASX. The plot of land for Sam Train is actually quite large, in fact as far as length goes it's nearly as long as RoadRunner's plot of land vertically. A larger scale version of a Zamperla Demolition Derby could fit quite well in that space to replace the ride. It would also fit in with the theming of a "Car ride" As this ride would probably cost around the million mark, it is significicant enough to warrant being mentioned (along with any new attractions big or small)
  18. Speedy's Taxi's was only revamped a year ago... so I doubt it will be going. It's still one of the most popular rides in the WBK precinct. Not to mention the ride is actually running halfway reliably now... I'd suggest it could be possible that this could be replacing the Yosemite Sam Railroad as that ride has been closed until further notice...
  19. There is an outdoor play area near the food court, but no water play structure.
  20. Good Ol' Frosty The Snowman Looks huge!
  21. On a gold and platinum flash pass you can buy a ride on X2 (limited availability) and on a platinum you can for Lex Luthor: Drop of Doom (limited availability too)
  22. Just a heads up with the mazes at the back of the park (Film Vault and Walking Dead) The lines were spilling out towards arkham last night... and still the wait time was only 30 minutes. DO NOT be taken back by the size of the lines as they are getting through a heap of people in those mazes. I went last night and managed to get on Green Lantern and did all 4 mazes (Walking dead twice) and saw all the shows as well. It was a great night and honestly one of the best fright night's I had been to.
  23. If your wanting a good hotel to stay at for a decent price (148 a night if your a rydges member which is free..) QT Gold Coast is an amazing place, clean... vibrant and amazing service and beds to die for. Much better IMO than the Hilton... and a much better price tag
