  1. According to the Myfun website, Lethal Weapon is back open again. I will be heading down there tomorrow so I'll let you know of any changes etc.
  2. I believe this was mentioned in another thread about Superman Escape's maintenance. It's getting a bit ridiculous, and I wonder what could be wrong with it.
  3. Oh, they actually have to run downstairs and re-set it? I thought it could just be done on the panel. How far away is this resetting implement if you don't mind me asking. If you are not able to disclose this information I do understand however.
  4. Well, judging by the way he /she presented themselves makes it hard to decide weather or not he is a legitimate employee of WVTP. Also going by the fact that he openly admitted it does make it harder to believe that he / she is one. Just some advice though if you do work for WVTP, be careful what you say on these forums as it could be in breach of your work contract.

  6. Just note that the pass can not be used between the 26th of December through til the 17th of January.
  7. Hmmm, Tower of Terror is not even scheduled for maintenance yet but it's been running fine the last few times that I've been there. The claw has had the main arm re-painted and new seat covers and is looking brand new. Hopefully the rest of the ride will get the same treatment. I've said it once, and I'll say it again. Dreamworld is making a comeback, and the future is looking bright with Noel at the reins.
  8. I'd just do the all 3 pass anyway. I wonder if Dreamworld will do something to compete with this or not.
  9. Freakin NICE! My Movie World pass expires in September... so it's tempting. It was funny, I've been really sick lately, and I dreamed about something similar last night. I must not have been dreaming though!
  10. Hmm, it is normal for the Tower of Terror to do what it did. It would have been a drive trip. Normally the ride pulls itself back into the station using the magnets, but not by the steel cable. Which leads me to believe that it was a epic fail. At least you can put AVPX on Q4U now
  11. Personally, I don't think the Wipeout needs replacing yet. Sure it may be 15 years old now, but it's still running fairly well for it's age. It may have had it's problems but I don't think it's on the chopping board just yet. Also as far as I'm aware Vekoma do not make the ride any more, and It would be disappointing to see a Moser replacement as apparently they just do not compare. As for a new thrill ride, I'd love to see a decent full circuit roller-coaster like a B+M sit down or inverted. With the economy the way it is going, Dreamworld or the other parks should not be taking massive risks only to have them flop. They need a decent quality roller-coaster that is going to last.
  12. I don't think we will ever see that policy implemented at Wet 'n' Wild for obvious reasons. Such as the BBQ's being installed, and it's a different sort of park to your traditional theme park. But also remember on Dreamworld's term's and conditions of entry, that "Food, beverages and eskies are not permitted into Dreamworld. No alcohol or animals to be brought in the park." Yet how many times do you see people bringing them in?
  13. It is also more than a 10 minute walk to coomera train station from Dreamworld, around 25 minutes actually. I will see how things go closer to the date and will let you know
  14. Why yes it is Knowing my luck it will pour down rain just like every other Screamworld I've been to.
  15. I would go, but I have no way of getting home after Screamworld as there are no buses to Coomera Station afterwards. Or a way of getting from my train station home that late at night.
  16. I rode it just after it's first maintenance period... and it was still painful as hell. I wonder what they are doing to the ride that requires such downtime. It's not in need of a paint job like Corkscrew was, so it shouldn't take so long unless there is something really wrong with it.
  17. It's interesting to note that Lethal Weapon is down now until the beginning of JULY when it was down from early MAY. I wonder why it's having extended maintenance once again this year, hopefully they are doing some upgrades to make the ride smoother.
  18. Cyclone has had that rule in place for quite some time as far as I'm aware. I don't really think that the ride would actually Valley with less than 6 riders, as it does go through the loops rather fast still.
  19. It was probably just the metal ring around the bar where it slides into the bike. It's been loose for a while but nothing to worry about. But the more I go on the ride, the more I realize how much of a poor move it was to install it.
  20. I am just waiting for the day it valley's.... Anyways last week when I went, I reserved it on Q4U and was standing at the gate to get on (on the platform, not before they let you in) The operator pushed the dispatch button from unload, and the train didn't move. Took around 25 minutes to get the ride going again. The people waiting on the loading platform and riders were all given a free drink voucher, also this was with only one train. I think the Intamin's of 2007 are BOTH lemon's... SurfRider and Motocoaster...
  21. I remember a few years back Bermuda Triangle's screen where the Volcano "cracks the shield" broke and said replace lamp. I told the operator and I went on it later in the afternoon and the words were covered in cardboard. The screen still worked, but was very dim. The next day the lamp was replaced which was good to see... I'm sure that people remember Dreamworld's darker period? Maybe this is the start of WVTP's Darker Period, whilst the competition only seems to be improving.
  22. ^ Well... there goes Australia's best themed ride down the gurgler... I hope WVTP know what they are doing and get there butts into gear before it's too late...
  23. AVPX still seems to be running strong since opening, the only thing I could fault it on was the fact of only using 1 briefing room. I would not say my visit has improved since Easter, but it certainly has not dropped. Overall I feel that Dreamworld is in a fairly good position right now, but I wish I could say the same for WVTP. The last several times I have been there I was very disappointed in general. Also, the teams are split up and determined by which wall you stand against. The ones to the left of the room are normally the "infected" alien's and the ones on the right are the Humans. The Infected Aliens enter the arena first followed by the humans around 5 seconds later. The Infected team is able to make it to the upstairs area's before the Human's do if they run fast enough though. But the host was EVIL to me. I had around 5000 points and I accidentally shot him... so he shot me and I lost ALL my points! Bloody Douchebag...
  24. I was also there today, was very impressed with the park in general. AVPX however was a bit of a wait with only 1 arena running, but it was still very good. Hopefully it will be using 2 rooms again soon as 50 minutes for one game of Laser Tag is a bit too much of a wait
  25. If WVTP keep this trend up... Catastrophe is Imminent...
