Work commences on the Dreamworld Water Park

I havn't been there since january, so it wouldn't have been me, but almost everyone uses those stairs anyway -
Goliath, there is no maintenence scheduled at this stage.
-
Today was DEAD, due to the rain we had, 4 rain stops today with me on it, but Geez the ride does hurt when it is even Sprinking, so yea, I am going again, so staff, watch out for the scary 14 yr old who is busy trying to get to 1000 rides
-
I for one, do not hope that all rides will use these locker systems, because it is just too expensive, And i have NEVER had a problem with theft except on Cyclone, when my phone went missing

lol, almost everyone I know does that, so yea, what did this ramp look like, I should then be able to confirm weather or not it is from XtremeWorld, But remember i havn't been there for over 2 months. -
I will probably be going to Movie World tomorrow, so I may talk to them in person, or i may just e-mail that is yet to be decided, I was also talking to a Ride Op today about the locker system, they have also copped some abuse from it. When I told her my idea of having the lockers free for say... 30 mins depending on how busy the lines are and then to Unlock them after that period it costs 1 dollar, this would make it ALOT better in my opinion. Because it is just crazy paying money to get in (not nessacarily for me as a Pass Holder, but for non pass holders) and then having to basically pay to ride the newest blockbuster ride. It also means that I don't get to go as often to movie world, because of this locker fee.
-
Well Gazza, This is where the unlocking fee comes into place. I will be sending a e-mail to Movie World in a few days about the locker fee, if anyone has ANYTHING they would like added to this e-mail, send me a PM or e-mail me at daniel.harmer@gmail.com I am going to see what they say about this specific idea "It is like you are having to pay extra to go on the ride"
-
Yea, basically what Gazza Said, It isn't really that bad if you are just ducking under, i'll admit, even i do that when the line is short enough but hurdling over I can see the saftey risk in that, I also really hope they do ditch the locker fee at Superman, they can keep the lockers but make them free, except if you go over a hour or designated limit, then there is a 1 dollar fee or something. I would be fine with that. They are quite good the lockers, except for the fee's, as this burns a nice hole in your pocket. Also you pay what... 60 dollars to get into the park, and then they are basically charging you to ride superman, I.E Locker Fee, it is just plain rediculous, if they had Free lockers for annual pass holders I would be fine, as would many from this site, but the general public still would have to pay, causing issues.

Oh goodie, Dreamworld isn't busy now I guess I need to re new my pass now -
Well gazza, You know that canvas area you go past at the start, that was filled up too. That adds another 30-40 mins to your wait, and they only had like 10 boats on the circut, also slowing it down, And the litter in the line was ASTONOSHING!!! This was on the 3rd of January I think, thus being REALLY busy, And this is the ONLY time i have seen wild west falls reach that line length.

As much as cyclone is the best roller coaster in the park (other than TOT) It does NOT mean I like the ride, I dislike it, however if the line is like a 10 min wait I will ride it, or if I am with freinds, but otherwise it is NOT worth the wait. -
I know, me and my cousin were there, I think I saw you at around 11:00 in the morning, you were the guy in the superman shirt right??? And Yes WnW You Should get a Annual Pass. it is 100% Worth It!!!
-
Lol, if you are him, Congrats for yelling at those hooligans, when i hear that person yell I just chuckle to myself, but he pulls the harnesses down REAL tight, one time i got a leg cramp from it
-
But, it worked REAL well, In Peak times the longest I waited for Superman was 15 mins, 45 with a Ride Stop, Whereas Lethal Weapon was 1 hour waits, Scooby 55 Mins, And Wild West almost 2 hours, it worked real well. And I hope they put the other train on again soon.

Sure, Eureka is better, but Cyclone is considered to be more world class, even though it's not, at least at times if the line is right, can be enjoyable, Eureka ALWAYS has a long line. At Night Cyclone is great fun. -
Sweet, I will be there for the whole day Looking forward to it already!

I have talked to the Parental Units, that weekend has been put aside for this meet. So At This Stage we have going- DjRappa Joz Richard JcGoldCoast Rabid Disney Matty-0-911 (Possibly) So that is 6 People, I think more will show up at the last minute, Richard, is it ok if I invite a few of my freinds to possibly come along?
-
I do have ideas for the theming of the Ride, Still keeping to the earthquake scene, and the Queue Line, I don't have the time to do it tonight, but in the next few days, expect something.
-
The 2nd train is mainly for peak times, And the 3rd train is a backup train in case one breaks, I hope they realise soon that the 2nd train is needed, and if it turns out to be quiet do what they did one time, and lock 1 train up untill it is busy again, it worked real well. I also agree, if they can afford to spend 12 Mill on the ride, they can afford to use 2 trains, it cant be that much more expensive, and it is Also investing in the General Publics Happiness if they don't have to wait ages, it is designed the way it is (Station Design) To be efficient, and make lines shorter, this however doesn't really work with only 1 train. When you are used to 2 Train operation, and you get there to find it is 1 train operation after you have lined up, you Really do notice that the line moves ALOT slower, the ride is still efficent, but the 2nd train is really needed, and As I have said before, if it does turn out to be quiet, lock down 1 train untill it gets busy again in the afternoon. That is fine by me
-
The ride can only run 2 trains due to block sections, but when 1 train stuffs up they have a backup. The transfer is just after the subway and before the tank blows.
-
One of the trains may have malfunctioned, but that is why they have a 3rd one So that may or may not have been the case.

Same here, I Mean, Dreamworlds BEST Continuous circut roller coaster is Cyclone, that just proves how sad it really is. -
Tom, I went on the 14th of Febuary and they were only running 1 train, But on the saturday, they had 2 trains, but halfway through the day, the locked 1 train up untill it got busy at about 3:00. So sunday must have been the last day for 2 train op.
-
Superman has been 1 train op for a few weeks now, sadly, the capacity has dropped a bit because of this, it was great when the lines were constantly moving, at times when 1 train was being used I waited over 30 mins but it is still a awesomeness ride
