  1. ...and subsequently miss out on having your ride experience filmed. You did notice that it is to feature on-board cam, yeah? I dare say that you'd have to be sitting in certain spots for it to work, more than likely the ones facing inward, as I can't see how they could capture the outer riders. Not unless they have off-board cameras set up somewhere.
  2. Probably worth mentioning that at this stage, all of the backstage ride components are outside of the park's operating hours anyway. The only one you get to see in action is SDSC, and that is from the safety of the lower floor, well underneath the track. I can see a backstage walk of WWF possibly being added to the Star Tour later down the track, but for those reasons, I can't see it happening whilst the ride is in operation. If anything it would be whilst it's in maintenance mode.
  3. I see it as a perfect explanation as to why Sea World's water park has still not been redeveloped after permanent closure a year or two ago. Obviously because they have been in serious negotiations over this alternative. Let's not forget there's plenty of unused land on the other side of the road as well. As a former Sea World employee twice over, I'm very excited over this news! The park has desperately needed something brand new and exciting for a while now ?? Not sure where you heard that, but I can confirm that there's no plans for the water park to reopen or add new attractions to. It's pending complete redevelopment, possibly into a completely new and different attraction.
  4. No? Haven't had anybody confirm what the future purpose of the show stage is. I got mixed feedback earlier on in the year, as one person told me it was going, and the other said it was staying. So yeah, any speculation on its use now is that of my own. For what it's worth though, if they can avoid utilising the new DC area for entry/exit/queues, then I'd probably change my mind. That's the only thing I can see being a major issue, as the building itself has no other use that I currently know of, other than for hosting scare mazes. I guess there is always the possibility of relocating the entry and exit points to WWF side. That could definitely work. Then three of the mazes would virtually share the same precinct/area, given the other two sheds are up the back there, too.
  5. @Theme Park Ninja sorry dude, as I said above, I've already offered it to someone. They had posted on MW's FB wall expressing their disappointment on missing out, so I approached them with the idea of them going in my place, which they were absolutely thrilled about. I'm just waiting for MW to get back to me about swapping. Worst case scenario, if we can't swap, I'll just have to skull numerous Red Bulls and Uber it there at my own expense, as I'm not going to let it go to waste ??
  6. I was going to, I actually accepted the invite and everything. But the early starting time is gonna cause too many dramas for me, given I have work the night before (I'd be looking at 4 hours of sleep) and also I can't take the car that morning, so transport is also an issue I'm trying to pay the TVC opportunity forward to someone else who was gutted they missed out, assuming that MW will allow me to - waiting for them to get back to me atm. Either way, I'll be there later when the park opens so I can hopefully get photos of the finished ride in action. Might see you then ??
  7. Could it be possibly be something to do with the DD TVC filming on Tues?
  8. The staff monitored turnstile in the shop between Dreamworld and WhiteWater World seems to work pretty effectively, too ?
  9. Lego themed wraps have finished going up around the construction zones inside and outside the park Looks like the internal entrance to the store will be via the orange facade on main street. The painting of the stairway entrance has finished too
  10. Just drove down Entertainment road past MW and noticed all the Mack logos on the crates have been spray painted over ?
  11. I agree with you, @JaggedJanine. I seriously doubt that the show stage will be used for future scare mazes, given its location and appearance is now being utilised as part of the new DC Super-Villians Unleashed precinct. As someone mentioned earlier, DC have extremely strict licensing conditions and would likely to be very iffy about something like that taking place in their area ?
  12. I'm going with it being a Mega Coaster. The same source who told me that earlier in the year also told me about VR coming tp MW, and SE getting its track repainted during its maintenance period this year. Sofar everything they told me about back then has come true. Mack also advertise those types of coasters. That's my bet
  13. What are you implying? That Ardent and Village Roadshow are working together now?
  14. Lol @Brad2912, as funny as that sounds, you misread my post... I said I don't go AS often As Janine lives locally to the park and goes multiple times a week But yes, at the end of the day, I think its safe to say we are both addicts. Quite proudly so
  15. Lol. I don't get there as often, though! Especially since I don't live so close to the park. This morning was my first visit to Movie World in almost a week
  16. Funny you should mention that, @reanimated35... I ended up having an unexpected discussion with one of the roof labourers last time I was there taking pics (he was finished for the day and standing nearby) and he had the exact same concerns. He wasn't so convinced either that the clearance for the monorail was enough for it to fit under/through! Surely Sea World would have done all their homework in advance, though? Maybe it's just an optical illusion of some sort I'm sure it will be fine and they have it all worked out. That said, I'd love to be there when they do the first test cycle
  17. Pffft. Love the typical assumptions by onlookers that the ride had "broken down". It clearly states in the article that staff deliberately halted it in response to allegations that debris had been seen fallen off one of the carriages. Sadly this coaster is now suffering the same fate as all the others whom have suffered a past major incident... being demonised. Every single minor safety stop and bout of downtime that takes place from now on is going to make media headlines. A shame really, given it was human error to blame for the accident last year
  18. Latest update.... just over 2 weeks until this baby is back up and running again
  19. Pics from this morning.... area is looking fairly complete now, as is DD! And also haunted too, given the amount of sheet clad ghosts in the area. Ex residents of Boot Hill, perhaps? Then again, Fright Nights is right around the corner Sneak peek below for those with good eyesight... or at least know how to use the photo zoom function on their computers/phones ? Oh, and looks like next Tuesday is when the Doomsday Destroyer will finally take on its first round of human riders (assuming that staff don't get to it first, which they probably will ??) as Premier and Elite membership holders has this invite emailed out to them this morning... We can only assume the general Premier & Elite only soft opening will be held afterwards
  20. So I went for a bit of a snoop this morning around the new construction site... got lots of piccies ??
  21. OK, never mind. I've had confirmation that it's not Fright Nights related, more so to the amenities side of things lol. Oh well.... ?
