Construction for the new Lego store at Dreamworld is about to begin

Site offices and a skip have arrived. And the marketplace has been fenced off from the inside:

Is anyone starting to think this Lego shop is going to be bigger than they thought?

I was surprised, but re-reading this, it makes sense.

Having 2 offices does make me wonder that more is going on than just 1 store.  The more going on could simply be the market area is getting upgraded at the same time.

Could just be a 'dirty office' for tradies and the like and a 'clean office' for the project managers \ corporate types. Suits generally don't like to mix with the 'unwashed'

Yeah, it was the other day when I went as well. Just forgot to upload the photo of it lol. The site offices definitely weren't there though!

LOL AlexB.  Having just 1 office would be strange if DW was just to fit out 1 store.  I just downplayed what DW were doing with the Lego shop.  Before they closed off the Marketplace could you get in there if you were not going into DW.  The exit location has changed so many times, in the Marketplace, over the years.  When DW first opened up the Marketplace was always full of people just dropping in to buy something from the bakery.

Through the general enquirers door to the left as you leave.

What's going to make leaving DW and of course walking up to the main entrance hard is the stairs as the hill located to right of the main entrance is fenced off its going to be quite a pain for people with prams and strollers.

Lucky the wiggles aren't performing anytime soon.

Wouldn't they just use the much wider ramp on the left of the entrance?

Yes that's true they could.

But me personally would think that would be out of the way ending or starting right near the bus stop and bus car park, where as the other ramp is starts or ends right in front of the main car park. I don't know this is just my opinion it is only going to be like this for a few months so it probably won't be that bad.

Look at MW and SW right now. A lot of it is different/closed/being refurbed etc and people will have to deal with a mild inconvenience for some massive rewards in a few months time.

A good representation there @Wyncenuros - I guess then that people who require the ramp should aim to park closer to the bus stop than they do now parking closer to WWW. TBH it'd be nice if that were permanent - ie: DW customers parking closer to Buzz so that WWW customers aren't competing for parking closer to the WWW gate.

Of course the only inconvenience then is if you plan on park hopping throughout the day and want to leave by a different gate than you entered, but that isn't really a big deal in the middle of winter.

Interesting.  The builder built a temporary fence to build another temporary fence.  This might be a slow build if the builder does everything twice.

I thought the chain link fence looked nicer. Hopefully they paint the fence green.
