What will be the next attraction to open at the GC parks?

Interesting point thunder. We know that the studio next to Movieworld will be home to the table tennis and boxing, but it makes perfect sense to open something huge around this time! -
Sydney Wet'n'Wild weight limit for rides?
aussienetman replied to swagjord's topic in Theme Park Discussion
I was once very heavy (about 135kg) and lied to a slide op at WWW and said I was under the weight limt. Needless to say I flipped the raft and whacked my head. If in doubt, don't ride it hehe. -

Based on absolutely nothing.... Just another poster sprouting opinion or guess as fact.... and nitro - this is not personal at all - just seems to be a lot of that lately. this forums breeds it. kinda back on topic - Have asked Santa for a pass for Christmas so I am hoping to get to the park in the new year. Kinda weird question - the VIP pass in its current form is only available til the 15th of December. Does anyone know (read know - not guess) what the plans will be for VIP pass after the 15th. Does anyone remember what they did with the VIP pass following White Christmas last year? -

Gawd stop complaining and be happy for once people... You haven't even ridden it yet -
A lot of complaining about a tiny tiny thing... We are treated like consumers every minute of every day, why should a theme park be any different. Just smile at them and keep walking if your not interested. Problem solved... No need to be rude to people just doing a job.

So a couple of years has passed and construction contracts have been awarded to local groups for infrastructure. It is only $100 million at this stage (no where near enough to complete the park with the rides) Skip to 3 minutes 11 for some info... (In Spanish ) http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=PjPG-m_XB78

Looks like the Today show(channel nine) is at Movieworld today. Not just a weatherman, the whole panel.
-
Correct me if I'm wrong but. A) keeps groups moving together through the maze some people have a knee jerk reaction to being scared and first instinct is to flail arms. Keeping hands on shoulders diminishes e chances of an actor being hit accidentally.

Im pretty sure this event sells itself neway. No need to spend money on advertising when they will no doubt sell out and spend the money elsewhere

New Resident Evil attraction at Universal Studios Japan.. http://kotaku.com/a-frightening-look-inside-japans-newest-resident-evil-833310331 Looks like a lot of fun and. Like the two stages concept. You don't get to the final showdown if your group does not defeat the first stage. Each gun not holds 30 virtual bullets... Once ur out.. Ur out! Maybe this is the route Dreamworld are taking but I'd imagine scare actors would be to expensive for anything to long term

The green light was on, the ride just seemed to be very dark with no lighting on the car or track. Didn't notice any effects in the windows at Scooby

I attended Movieworld on Friday evening for their Pyjama Party event and what a great success it was! With the park feeling very deserted indeed, most rides were a walk-on except for Superman Escape and Batwing. Needless to say I gave these rides a miss and decided to check out the rst of the park. Before Friday I was a Green Lantern virgin so I was pleased to note that the audio worked on my first and only ride. It really adds to the ride and i love a good dramatic score! Scooby was up and running even though it is currently down for repairs. Arkham was smooth, and the joker VoiceOver on the lift hill was up and running, but unfortunately my seat on the back left had a crackly speaker. Some thoughts on the night. - security was out in force... Everywhere you turned there was a security chap hanging about - the only characters I saw were Tweety, Bugs. Daffy and Batman. Tweety and Bugs were decked out in pyjamas - the park is DARK at night. Apart from Main Street, the whole park was actually quite hard to navigate. While half of the kids WB zone was open , everything from Sam Train back was closed and there was hardly any lighting in this area at all. Felt a little bit spooky! - Green Lantern spent the night in darkness, as did Arkham. I liked riding Arkham in the pitch black - it adds to the ride. - I would love to know the number of riders churning through Justice League. it seems to be hidden from the general public... The ride supervisor looked grumpy as every time i rode.... no wait time, and never anyone in the queue. i think they need signage aka the joker at Arkham pointing to the entrance! - justice League is a lot more fun to ride with the audio working. Movieworld is by far my favroritred park on the coast, and to experience it at night with no wait times was well worth the effort. i really hope the evening was successful as a fundraiser and thanks to Movieworld for once again being great hosts!

Contestants are also vying for the ultimate title of Champ Orange, awarded to the team that best displays the Camp Orange spirit of friendship and fair play. For the first time in Camp Orange history, Champ Orange will be decided by Aussie and Kiwi kids who are watching all the action at home. This year, viewers will choose the team that they deem best and fairest to take the honour by casting their vote on www.nickelodeon.com.au. In another Camp Orange first, fans have submitted their recipes in for Wrong Town Dinner, stomach churning dishes which are eaten each night at Camp Fire by a team selected by the Wrong Town Dinner Spinner. Kids at home can also check out behind the scenes and other exclusive added content online, including the very best audition videos. In the world premiere episode, Campers are put through an extreme memory test as they learn all about each other in just 20 seconds, zooming around Sea Worlds Jet Rescue Coaster at speeds of up to 75km/hr in the Jetting To Know You challenge! I think I remember someone posted in the thread earlier that they were going to be riding around a Mini MovieWorld.... good call and well caught! Also says this is a family attraction.... Look I am all for the family attraction to replace LTRR but it will be two family attractions back to back at Movieworld. Happy to see LTRR finally getting its replacement, but worried that this ride just wont live up to its predecessor. I suppose people were worried when Gremlins closed as well !
