They certainly could fight it and have every right to request it to be taken down if/when I post it. The fact is I seriously doubt they would care about a book almost 20 years old and no longer in print. Excellent to hear, I have never seen a souvenir book inside MW before.... Anyone know when the one before this was last made?

Movie World's White Christmas 2010

I was certainly not a fan of the roof when it was being built/in the first few months. But being there when it rains, you can certainly see the benefit, especially for out of hours events. During the first Fright Night this year it was heavily raining, and they could not have held White Christmas/Looney Tunes on Ice, the Parade and more without it. To sum it up - The benefits far outweigh the negatives -
I doubt the parks would take issue with old books that are no longer in production being uploaded... I wont be able to upload my MW one yet, am on holiday in the US

Movie World's White Christmas 2010

I was at the Charity Event White Xmas last night, and the park looked spectacular, all rides were open excluding Wild West and Batwing (Under matinance). The family's/guests attending the night from various tough situations all received free Burger/Drink/Paddle Pop/Sideshow Game, Santa Photos and Ice Skating were also free however these will be "up charges" for the public nights. Photos are up on Flickr, full report will be on my site later today. 7:00PM is Looney Tunes on Ice - "A Christmas Carol" adaption 7:20PM is "Illumination" Turning on all the million fairy lights at once, leading into the... 7:30PM Christmas Parade - Various floats, see pictures in link above 8:30PM is A Rocking Christmas Show - Christmas Carol Singalong These may be different/change on the public nights so dont take my word on it -
I have never seen any Gold Coast theme park books... Maybe some Gold Coast history books might have a chapter or similar on theme parks...

I have the latest SW one and two Dreamworld ones. But my most prized possession is the Movie World first anniversary one .

Was at the park yesterday and Bermuda is now covered by a large white construction fence Photos here

^ Yes According to a poster on MW Facebook anyway, my guess is they didn't want to post a date until they were sure when it would be back.

Been meaning to post these for ages, taken 12th OCT. - I found walking around the site formerly the site of Bungee Jumping, Putt Putt and Wonderland's former Skyhawk very interesting. My favourite photo is this - A Power Box held up on a wheelie bin The site has now been cleared/cleaned up and is available for lease

My understanding is that he does not have any content of his own yet and Parkz content is a placeholder.. That said "Thillz" with ride profiles ect is using alot of Parkz's ideas, overuse of replacing s with z make me cringe! Forumz and Ridez hehe.. Their are a lot of Theme Park sites lately, I myself will be launching a site soon focusing solely on the Gold Coast Parks, my wordpress hosted blog is limiting what I can do presently.. Back on topic, What do you guys want to see on the land formerly taken up by Bermuda?

Thrillz is defiantly not the next incarnation of Parkz/Not affiliated with Parkz...
-
from Thrillz.com.au Facebook Also this comment on my blog from "Elmo" If I see "Looney Tunes River Ride is presently closed while we continue to develop new and exciting attractions at Movie World" I think I will cry.... anyway

As part of Dreamworld's target "thrill" market, I like it/think it is fairly effective, never underestimate the power of a catchy jingle I also was a little underwelmed by DW's offering, but it is certainly better than nothing... Are the only WVTP "Boxing Day Attractions" a Zip Line and Artic Penguins? DC Comics Parade, Halloween and White Christmas are all outstanding but what is their for everyday guests? The VIP Pass campaign is focusing on Castaway, Aqualoops and JTTCOTE, Castaway/Aqua is great, but as for JTTCOTE most feedback I have heard is "bring back shrek".

Movie World's White Christmas 2010

What exactly dont you know? Unique may not have been the right word but Ben and Jerry's is hardly "comercially available mass produced ice cream" within Australia. Streets is... As Gazza mentioned it is the 2nd store in Australia and it is available at few/select locations around Australia, not your local Coles. "Less than extremely commercially available mass produced ice cream" How about more "select" food -

Very excited to hear Ben and Jerry's is taking over the Streets/Music Man Ice Cream parlour. I hope we see Ben and Jerry's over at other VRTP locations eventually, I have always thought theme parks need more "special/unique" food. -
Any noticeable construction on the former IMAX/Dreamworld Cinema?

Sea World 2010 (Castaway Bay & Antarctic Penguins)
Park Addict 93 replied to themeparkgc's topic in Theme Park Discussion
Construction is well underway on Artic Penguin Display, they are also advertising for Photos can be found over at my Flickr, on another note the very well themed castaway bay has suffered it's first "loss" The "Targets" are no longer well themed, but actually are Target logo that looks horrible See here. They needed to make it more obvious they are targets ect. but why not a sign in the que line instead? -
I was originally informed it was the new location for Oakley Creek Farm Show, so I am going to hazard a guess it will.

So far the lineup for White Christmas at Movie World is looking like... - Full Blog Post Glistening White Snow (Main St.) A million fairy lights Christmas Characters including Santa Polar Express 4-D Ice Skating Looney Tunes on Ice Dazzling Christmas Parade Ice Skating is for guests too I am fairly confident... I would hazard a guess (could be wrong) that LT on Ice will be in the show stage area.. Also wondering this... -
I am very interested to see what happens with Bermuda, have done a detailed blog post as always In WVTP's defence, it does not appear as if this was a planned closure as evidenced by plans originally being maintenance. WVTP have also made solid additions to the parks this year with Castaway Bay, penguins incoming and AquaLoops. In addition to a solid Halloween and upcoming Xmas event.

I hoped/speculated a Bush Ranger Show, however have confirmed with several it is the new location for Oakley Creek Farm show. I have a shot from back on the 27th of last month, obviously a lot has happend/changed so hopefully someone can take a photo soon

The que line has been worked on since original launch, there is now a slight story line (shown on 3 TV's). Some red strip lighting and more, nothing extensive but better than nothing. People will buy anything, I bought a "Big 6" shirt the other day for $12ish ($19.95 minus 40% discount) and I am not sure if it was worth it

Good to hear "improvement coming soon" for IMAX, it is in such horrible shape at present... Marketplace is also closed at present/being upgraded. When I was there on saturday, no entry/only pass outs through Marketplace. The former helicopter office is the Annual Pass processing center. Q4U outlet had temporarily taken over return passes/stroller/wheelchair hire. In addition to Illuminate returning, I hear the Aboriginal Show is also coming back. Anyone know what is happening with Dora Sea Planes, been closed since April 27....

If your trip isnt till April you could wait to purchase, the offers change frequently all the time. Currently you can get a $99 Pass that gives you a year (Nov 2011), and starting December/Online now, is the $69 Summer Passport that gives you unlimited till July 30.
