  1. It's not simply a new parade, it's an event with returning characters, new shows and yes finishing each day with a large parade. I think you underestimate the nostalgic appeal of some of their old characters.
  2. I just hope they get the exhibit sponsored by Compare The Market as Australia Zoo has. 😂
  3. https://www.goldcoastbulletin.com.au/business/gold-coast-business/sea-world-gold-coasts-leviathan-roller-coaster-and-trident-ride-in-new-atlantis-precinct-delayed/news-story/f40426cea039e54030681f771bd0a497?fbclid=IwAR3yqOgdQuszvLMbnbtmJVw9UEGf9nTCQgjjN2pQAUCUe3vBexS249NLHxI
  4. Just noticed the previously announced September 18 date has been replaced with “this summer”.
  5. I do believe he is actually on the money with this one. Have also heard this Friday for the event announcement.
  6. Worth noting Seal Guardians has not been showing since COVID reopening, they have a "behind the scenes" (behaviour) presentation instead. My understanding is HWSD 2 and bringing in ShowTime cut costs quite a bit from the original show. They certainly did investigate Mad Max as a replacement for PA originally, the licensing was complicated so the decision was made to "go generic".
  7. Thanks for the bump, saved me from searching for this topic 😂 An additional shade structure has also just been installed.
  8. For credit where it is due this is the group where Bikash commented. So new event/birthday celebrations to be announced shortly, leviathan/trident for September school holidays and slides for summer. That still leaves Arkham replacement and the new Showcase exhibit.
  9. For whatever reason I believe Superman’s is a more general maintence bay. Have definitely seen GL trains there, and JL cars when I did the Star Tour.
  10. There was also this tender last month... I would expect they plan to have it ready for summer.
  11. There is a new event planned for the June/July period, to be announced next month. They did filming today starting at 6AM and into park hours, expect old characters and vehicles.
  12. Luna Play is interesting too, bit of gamification.
  13. The most interesting thing to me in the new website is the new pricing structure, looks like peak tickets could be as high as $70-80 based on thats how much an undated ticket will cost. Annuals have jumped substantially from $109/$139 to $199.
  14. Something else to consider with Doomsday is it has been closed long enough that staff will need to be retrained. It was “testing“ today with ride op staff present.
  15. It was $299 excluding entry and $350 with it, when Arkham Climb was removed it was made $299 including. I think so, although obviously it involves an earlier start. Some of the more park history stuff may seem dull to a younger crowd but walking through Scooby and Behind the Scenes of HWSD would be big winners.
  16. Fright Night has never been included in the One Pass, and prior to being discountinued the latest memberships. It is part of the Premier and Elite memberships.
  17. Have yet to visit but someone has told me the courtyard is back open (you can walk between Superman and Scooby via Arkham).
  18. So GL was most recently closed to install this extra platform for evacuations.
  19. GL has been closed for almost a week, but they have decided this time to keep the "unscheduled maintenance" off the website.
  20. Cyborg was quietly retired from the park lineup before COVID and hasnt been part of this event either. GL is usually in the night parade but Penguin, Ivy and Scarecrow are not.
  21. It seems to have been built with VQ/FT in mind. At the moment it doesn’t really need it with such a short cycle and 40 per cycle capacity.
  22. Going to be difficult to get a good shot from the ocean facing side 😁 (the only side currently operating) Would hope they have a camera somewhere getting some footage for a time lapse video.
