Dreamworld Memorial & Reopening discussion
I heard (and this could be bollocks, but I heard it from an employee higher than a ride op) that "Hapiness" was due for retirement after summer and with the incident/prolonged closure they decided they would accelerate the timeline. Think of all the retail stock/merchandise that had TRR that has had to be refreshed, makes sense for them to go a little sooner.

Dreamworld reopening - the summer season
I have a feeling it wasn't really ready to be published in the first place, with screamworld crowddj text and "Tiger Island Copy" "ABC World Intro" ect. .

Dreamworld reopening - the summer season
^ They have already said kids/Dreamworks will be open. It is also 10 days away, who knows they may operate limited thrill rides. Very smart to give existing passholders an extra 6 months. Will be interesting to see the ticket options when they reopen. I wonder what they will be offering members

Dreamworld reopening - the summer season
$25 is very generous donation for passholders. Especially considering you can potentially go both days. Most would be on a season Pass costing roughly $100 (but sold for as low as $80. Also worth noting.

Dreamworld Memorial & Reopening discussion
Just passed DW, the entrance banner/ribbon has changed. Has the Dreamworld logo (without "happiness") Welcome and a "celebrating 35 years" gold badge/circle.

Someone else on these forums may also posses a Bermuda Alien... He currently is wearing an AOS hat.

Lets Talk Wet And Wild Gold Coast
Those lockers are now wristband, went to WNW for the first time in years the other day and went to use them and they are like rest. As someone who previously paid $299 for 12 months to three parks (MyFun Mega Pass) I wouldnt mind paying more for a short term or long term locker pass attached to my membership card. Would go with my Fast Photo, Hunger Buster & Thirst Quencher nicely ;).

VRTP rounding up transactions
Not disputing what you are saying, just saying they are within ACCC guidelines. But I didn't realise Visa/MC debit are classed differently so they are in breach of that.
-
VRTP rounding up transactions
It does more closely reflect business costs, 0.97% is what VRTP charge now for Visa/MC and what is required under ACCC guidelines. Credit Card fees are now only legally cost recovery. The front gate used to charge $3.95, this is now 0.97%.

It stops at Dreamworld, asked a driver the other day. For staff.

Lets Talk Wet And Wild Gold Coast
I agree re: single rider. I hadn't visited the park for a few years until recently due to this and the need for improved pathways/water or something. No. 1 complaint I hear about WNW.
-
VRTP rounding up transactions
I agree that a credit surcharge is ridiculous in this day/age for PayPass/Paywave, for the holiday/peak season it slows the lines down. As for the rounding issue it is automatic in the POS, the staff have the capacity to adjust it so if it matters to you ask them too. They will/are being advised they are supposed to do it for customers without prompting.

Dreamworld Memorial & Reopening discussion
The new opening date for Lego is Christmas (previously listed as November). I personally think the park will be open by Dec 1, although I hope sooner.

Dreamworld Memorial & Reopening discussion
I speculated those exact options the other day with some friends... I think they will build a more permanent wall between Buzzsaw and TRR if they go the first option. It wouldn't surprise me if they closed off the whole area but they were testing BuzzSaw recently.

Dreamworld future attraction ideas
Regararding Kevil. I heard that the licensing was renewed recently however they planned to just keep it as a scare attraction for Screamworld. With no current Screamworld dates for the year and Zombies will be branded as insensitive by many and the media I highly doubt we will see the attraction reopen in its current form again.

Dreamworld Memorial & Reopening discussion
I wil be there the first day they reopening, as a very frequent visitor to the parks since the age of 12 and being friends with many staff this incident has hit me surprisingly hard. I confirmed this morning once the reopening plan is finalised it will be made public immediately.

Speculation and media beat ups - Thunder River Rapids incident
Not that much of a difference in these circumstances, I doubt they will leave it SBNO for a long period. With the QPS announcing they have completed onsite investigations I wouldn't be surprise to see it happen fairly quick.
