  1. Have to agree that this is a major factor as to why they dont, although in my opinion Dreamworld really should have considering its lack of popularity/line. Doesnt make sense to launch with it at Gumbuya though with the reported popularity.
  2. Fun fact! The very last public guest cycle at Dreamworld was on this mode. I agree its even better.
  3. Realistically what IP could they license to rejuvenate the area? I have no doubt Universal was unwilling to renew the license, I don't think it was DW being cheap.
  4. It launched early December, the benefits are mentioned earlier in the thread. They haven’t changed.
  5. Not denying this but as stated other staff, not rostered to Scooby were allowed to ride during the last day.
  6. Staff actually were allowed to ride during the day (presumably) on their breaks. Whilst generally I don’t like seeing staff fast tracked while paying guests wait I don’t have an issue with it on the last day of operations. For what it’s worth this was short operational delay at one point as a guests bag fell between the tracks at unload. There was further downtime in the afternoon and a full evac.
  7. I could be wrong but I think TPWW got that aspect wrong, I don’t think single ride tickets have been available at LPS since covid.
  8. To me this makes sense considering the abruptness, since recently reopening from the unscheduled maintenance it has been operating at reduced capacity (less cars) and no VQ. I did a ride on the 22nd and it was a noticeable gap between cars in the station.
  9. Glad this rumour was true, I think it's a very smart move from the park. The park knows Next Gen was a bust, note the social posts and blog post do not refer to it as such. My understanding is it will be going back to closer to the original theming.
  10. There’s a public bus that runs from the wharf to the top of the zoo fairly frequently. So I can’t imagine it having that huge of an impact on attendance.
  11. Did anyone else notice when they rode forward Rivals was open (queue was filling up) but when they returned to ride backwards the ride was closed (queue was empty and everyone could be see queuing outside on the bridge). You will find the video was edited, recording for both forwards and backwards would have taken place prior to the ride opening for guests for the day. I would have enjoyed their review of having to use the app to buy Backwards. (I believe it’s the same as Sea World now that you cannot purchase directly in park)
  12. Slight nitpick, the white wristbands are not the same as Fast Track available for purchase, they are unlimited use and only issued for "VIPs" (whilst paid Fast Track is one use per ride). Have to agree though that I don't think it impacted their review and it was a nice reminder that whilst we can all be critical of our local parks they are great as they are.
  13. Yeah on further inspection I’m not sure either now. Not entirely clear.
  14. The park is now is selling a One Time use at each ride Fast Track pass in park for $119, including one ride on Backwards Levi too. App pricing for One Time FT and Backwards has also reduced.
  15. Not a sentiment I have seen online personally, I did Arashi at Nagashima Spa Land and found it a great extreme ride. Due to it's intensity however I doubt it's one MW would be interested in.
  16. With the Village Roadshow App you can purchase One Shot Fast Track for $45 per person per ride on Leviathan. Thats the only option for paid FT. You could also try for a Virtual Que spot but they fill up very fast.
  17. I would say it’s possible they have reached their bandwidth limit.
  18. Worth noting that Sea World Helicopters does not equal Sea World/Village Roadshow, they are a seperate business that license the name/space in my limited understanding. https://www.abr.business.gov.au/ABN/View?abn=63055890054 https://ultrahelicopters.com.au/
  19. GCB are now reporting 3 dead and 13 being treated by QAS.
  20. Appreciate the trip report and all the photos, have yet to make it to Gumbuya or Funfields.
  21. Could be wrong but I always thought it was in the straight section of track before unload.
  22. I wouldn’t take it as gospel either, but it is running on what information VRTP/Accesso is feeding it.
