Movie World updates 2018
jjuttp replied to Gold Coast Amusement Force's topic in Theme Park Discussion
I was trying to work it out from that, but the area looked more like Marvin than anything. And seeing the name Yosemite on the building next to it further cemented that idea. -
So bay wise, are like bowling bay size or?

VRTP see Sea World as marine park, not theme park
jjuttp replied to pushbutton's topic in Theme Park Discussion
It's sad to see it being marketed the way it should have been from the start? This isn't Dreamworld. As far as i'm concerned, a Zoo/Wildlife Park deals primarily in land based animals. An Aquarium should have a primary focus on water breathing aquatic animals, and a Marine park is those inbetween. Dolphins? Check, Seals? Check, Pelicans? Check, i's a Marine Park. And so it should be marketed as such. Hell, even Wikipedia lists it as a "Marine Mammal Park". And Seaworld in the states is marketed the same way. -
As someone who worked 4 years in retail, i feel i am fully qualified to say, no it wont.

You also think a 6 year old ride will close soon @joel? -
I was getting my hopes up that Quiet Riot were getting back together for a minute there.

Big Banana & The Coffs Harbour Bypass

Curious as to why someone voted never have, never will. It's like not going somewhere purely because it doesn't have a monorail themed darkride. -

By the looks of it, they want to take out a huge wad of the plantation, and some houses. -
Went bowling today and managed to speak with a lady who had been with AMF for 25 years. She said that the name "AMF" was leased from AMF america essentially since the get go and anytime the company changed hands, so did the lease. So the new guys didn't want that lease, said screw it, and renamed EVERYTHING that was even remotely close to the AMF name and logo. so apart from the shit fight from the higher ups renaming and re-branding things, its apparently the smoothest change of hands shes experienced.

Considering that's the only way i've ever ridden it, id say that's pretty normal.

So after a 30 second research burst, ill say this proposal is a stretch at best. The aviary looks like Taronga and Healsville had a child and raised it in Singapore, the cable car doesn't have a valid enough attraction to warrant using it. Unlike the Kuranda cable car which i'm guessing it will be compared to, one has sweeping rainforest views, a reason to use it, and is fully educational. And then the other has sweeping views of bushland and Adelaide. I'd give it a 5/7 on picturesque-ness. Its incredibly hard as is to turn a wildlife park into something worth more than 2 hours of your day, yet they want a Hartleys like layout over Taronga zoo. Trying to turn the equivalent of Australia's Delaware into San Diego? It's a no from me. Bonus points though if the state does somehow find a tourist attraction that doesnt involve getting drunk, hunting backpackers or watching cars.

I think your only problem would be with Gingy's Gliders off the top of my head. Otherwise, Dodgems and RHLR are easy. -

You should see Tokyo Zoo's escape drills. -
Well generally, it's out of our hands. And in this case, i think its out of the parks hands. Remember how Clark said he wanted it done this financial year? That tells me it's out of the parks hands. We all have our own ways we want things done, or the park run. But not only are we not the park, we don't know what happens behind the scenes.

It's been what? 18 months? Not years. Also is that a comment from a Facebook comments section or just straight up pure anger? Cause it's written like some of the comments on the realestate.com.au posts everytime they try bash the parks.
