In an 1800s mining town?

Shooting a scene is much better than shooting a trailer - Universal used to do a Star Trek show like that where the volunteers could bring home a tape. Mad Max is a great property for a stunt show. Make it like Waterworld.

That is the danger of running a Facebook page. You can never presume what was true yesterday is true today (unless you are in the park). It's about time VRTP got themselves better cards - the previous ones were cheap and nasty. My favourite would have to be Adventure World's pass. They don't even have a picture on the card - you load one up when you initially sign up and it is displayed on their monitors when they scan the card at the park.

Yeah, I still think proslide because of Reckless Loony, if for no other reason. Looking forward to the themeing. I hope it's green like that wet abyss video. It would be great if they started the story in the queue area and had a lighting display and sound effects that tie in with theme.

Unlimited credit card transactions.

It's massive, isn't it? Kinda reminds me of this footage of an abyss I was looking at the other day where it goes out, then circles back in. It's interesting in the differences in height of those columns.

That Taiwanese Waterpark explosion sounds really bad. A second person has died and hundreds are injured. http://edition.cnn.com/2015/07/01/asia/taiwan-water-park-explosion/

I'm presuming this isn't a sleepover event.

That'd be some OTSRs. ?

The Wild open plains park = Werribee Open Range Zoo. Just add rollercoasters and we'll all be happy.

I thought they let the queue spill out onto the footpath to try and persuade people not to join the line.

TPSN doesn't really cover Dreamworld - only Village/Roadshow Parks.

Wow, great news Mark. I can't believe how much work is going on down there at the moment. Big fan of the music/sound zones. I love the music you've been playing at the entrance gates the last couple of seasons - very Harry Potteresque. Any clues as to what the Platinum passes will entail? A day of fast pass or cabana hire perhaps? I can't believe you're actually doing the sleepover event - amazing! Have you thought of doing one like the CEO Sleepout and raising funds too? Can't agree more, POP.

Matt from Adventure World - there's nothing that guy can't do. I was also impressed with the team that ran the Freefall. Getting rid of that prerecorded Jamaican guy was the best move ever.

Great ads - still waiting for the 'Adventure World, Adventure World they made it just for fun' advertisement.

More like back chopper - it's just plain mean.

Go AW! Wait a second...

This was one thing Sunway took with it.. it lives on as Pirate's Revenge. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Looping_Starship Here's a trip report from a Singaporean blogger. http://seconddrop.blogspot.com.au/2014/07/sunway-lagoon-malaysia-trip-report.html

Yeah, ambience is the key. You gotta have time to smell the roses. Nothing worse than when you see some family self destruct or others falling asleep on a park bench.

Latest shot of the hill. More foundations dotting the terrain.

It seems like ProSlide is advertising their slide construction at something called Aquanation in Victoria. It appears to open in August. Interesting indoor slide arrangement. https://www.facebook.com/Aquanation

Yeah, it's a great little park to hang out at - very picturesque. You'd love the cabanas: they're extremely relaxing and an awesome place to go for some peace and quiet during a busy day. Mark and his team have done an excellent job of boosting the quality of service. That reminds me, not long until the new season pass sale starts: I'm a rusted on season pass holder now.

Apparently Sydney's CEO sleep out was held at LPS.

There's a bit of lightning and rain in Perth tonight. Hope it's not too bad at the WACA for the sleep out. Goodluck, CEOs!

Late January is the perfect time to visit DL. Unlike WDW it's more prone to local crowds and best visited during the early to middle part of the week. It's my favourite park with rides crammed in every square inch.
