  1. Maybe this is half of Dreamworld's $25m spend?
  2. The MACK joke is getting on in years...
  3. Then why post any information at all? You knew you would be questioned on it. I'm almost ready to put you in the same category as RWC, posting unsubstantiated rumor as fact with no credible source.
  4. So what you're saying is you went up to said life-slightly-prolonger-person (lifeguard? come on, she wouldn't take a bullet for me) and said "Hi I use/represent the online forum parkz. Could you please give me some insider info about the park next door which I promise not to tell anyone else about on said forum". (Thereby making the whole "I know about Parkz" thing completely irrelevant). Come on, don't be THAT guy, no one likes THAT guy. Pushbutton tried to be THAT guy, now he's gone and blocked 50% of the active members on here. Only if down the track more genuine information becomes available and we can say we had MACK restore the rumour.
  5. Exactly. You were "told this year" You say you believe the information to be 'very accurate' now, however when you first posted it you seemed to doubt it by saying 'maybe over the next couple of years'
  6. So at first you suggest you have doubts about it being this year, now you're saying you believe it to be edit "very" accurate. Which is it?
  7. Yeah I'm talking about in the timeframes posted. I have no doubt dreamworld would be looking to drop $25m on extra rides somewhere within the next 5 or so years. Dreamworld just seem to keep falling further and further behind. When was the last time they added something that wasn't a flat ride? (I'm counting Buzzsaw as a flat while I know it's not, it may as well be)
  8. ^ On topic - I choose to take the lifeguard's word as complete BS - that's nothing against the poster, that's my opinion as I feel unless they have some kind of 'in' with management they aren't going to know shit. In saying that if that is true, they would be better off dropping the $25m on one thing and getting something decent for once. With all the flats Dreamworld comes across as a permanent "fun park" or hell, it's beginning to look like something I'd make in RCT and we all know how terrible that is!
  9. Then you won't see this post calling you a meanie bum bum head. What's so bad about saying what type of staff member told him something?
  10. But what type? F&B, cleaner, senior, work experience kid, waiter, ride op, costume guy?
  11. As a relatively new member (apparently) (we joined around the same time), I'm sure you'll get over it. Then it's not really hard to say "a F&B staff member told me" "a cleaner told me" "a ride op told me" "a higher up person told me" - by simply saying that it comes across as somewhat more possibly credible, depending on source and if it was one of those people, then they aren't the only person in the business who knows about it and therefore they wouldn't be able to point the blame at someone. Parties, movies, family gatherings, concerts, sporting events, I could list more if you like.
  12. Isn't this the same kind of shit that started arguments before? "Oh I know this is true, but I can't tell you why or how I know, but you should just believe me when I have no credible evidence to back anything up" Guys I was just told that Disney bought Six Flags who bought Movieworld and they're planning to make a coaster pulling 824.6 G's which will open October 12 this year! I can't tell you who told me though, you'll just have to trust me.
  13. Is these the ones being made by Mack?
  14. Care? > No Curious as to what happened? > Yes All's well that ends well
  15. rwc got banned for being a complete dick, and doesn't appear to have come back like he said he would yet, so now the thread has a few plot holes but at least it's a lot more pleasant around here.
  16. Interesting idea. To save people looking, here's the info re WnW Syd
  17. WnW is listed on the ASX report as going to have a "Lazy/Action" river combined. Can someone explain that to me please.
  18. I think it's already out of hand. As I said, I love the ability to pay so little for so much, but I'd be happier paying more to keep the parks alive.
  19. Ok so this latest effort I wasn't too happy with, but it's there now and it would be way too much of a PITA to remove so we're all just going to live with it. I present to you "Dodgy lego themed area of the park"!!! http://youtu.be/cue0EGBMcjI Oh and no, the coasters aren't designed to be realistic at all. It's made from Lego - you're supposed to be creative.
  20. Fair enough. I think the NZ one was something like full forward was a park break and back was normal brake. And with this I back out of the thread before it gets off topic.
  21. And IMO therein lies the problem. "You should have read the T&C better" I speak to several people daily who haven't read the T&C properly and think that it's not their responsibility to read them.
  22. Thanks Fair enough. Would have expected the staff perks to be a little better than that, but I guess that's pretty standard, I must just be lucky where I work I agree, the price we pay is great for what we get. I'd love to pay more and feel as though I was actually a special guest if you will, of the park by having a 2 year pass instead of one that has just become standard entry. The idea of tiered ticketing I'm not too fond of personally because I think it would cause a lot of confusion as to who does and who doesn't get what benefits. Unless it was really simplified it would probably cause a few complaints. It's a lot cheaper to have the cheap plastic cards done up than it is to have a proper card done. I'd say they changed in preperation for the passes becoming what they are now - everyone's everyday admission. IMO the price would negate that issue. When I went for my $300 pass with dremworld a few years back, there was only 1 other person in front of me waiting to get one done. Now if only we could get the parks to see things our way. Note to WVTP - if you're reading this feel free to take any and all ideas, I don't want anything for it, maybe just a "thanks" though
