  1. Thanks @Theme Park Girl for the link. While not an official report, it gives a lot of insight to what happened. It comes down to human error and a huge mistake that should never have happened. http://www.mirror.co.uk/news/uk-news/alton-towers-smiler-rollercoaster-crash-8897449
  2. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HMUDVMiITOU That's the only one I'd ever heard of before. Not my type of music so I can't be much help sorry.
  3. Look at you all still discussing this "roller coaster". Remember "Wild"? It moved to Movie World instead. This new development is all for the 'Big Cat Exhibit'.........
  4. Ah, that looks like the end of the night when all the lights go on to signal the GTFO portion of the evening.
  5. I wouldn't say the lighting was awful at all. For a fright night event, I thought it was good. My only issue with is was the photography aspect. Having too much of one colour, in this case purple/blue makes it hard to get decent photos, but on the flip side, it seems to work best for the ambience of the night.
  6. Please note, this is unedited footage, it's hand-held footage and no stabilising has been applied as it wouldn't work. There is a bit of shake to it sorry. Sadly the lens I used doesn't have OIS. This is straight from the camera and obviously looks best in 1080p.
  7. I don't necessarily think the scheme overlapped at all, I think it was more blue and purple are the best? colours that allow enough light but keep a dark event dark. Does anyone with experience in lighting have any ideas of some other colours that might work?
  8. > References Payday > Doesn't get Payday reference > Wat? I know there's probably not many other colours that work for a "dark" theme but still allow you to safely see, but after Carnivale and Fright Nights, I'm really getting over the colour purple.
  9. You don't need a mallet. It's a basic game. I set it off several times at night. You just need to put weight evenly across the metal plate and you don't need any force. Just put one hand on either side of it and press.
  10. I have some better ones I'll do later, but for now, enjoy this. It was a little windy and pushed the fog off to the side though which sucked a bit, but still.
  11. All the mazes have secret rooms. Some are just better than others (ie the ones that are in use at the moment). You're not missing much in the other two as they're mostly just squirt bottles again hence why they aren't using them as they didn't want to repeat themselves.
  12. F13 felt a decent length, easier to navigate this year too which was good. Conjuring was great, but I honestly preferred the tour we did of it earlier in the day as there's just so many effects and little details in there that you don't always get to notice first go during the normal operation. UTT has no impact on maze sizes at all this year. To me, all mazes felt about the normal/same length as previous years.
  13. Managed to do the VR today. Wow. That's pretty much all that needs to be said. Wow. You wouldn't even know you were on a coaster. Also had no issues with the headset coming loose.
  14. I would assume FDTD as it was something along the lines of "a big new IP that is building but hasn't taken off yet" or something. To me FDTD makes sense as it's a series gaining traction.
  15. Better than it running up the hill, I guess.
  16. And here we are paying to walk to the top of AA. These guys do it for free AND get their face in the paper?!
  17. Serious question. If the track is clear and they can reset the ride, why evac? Why not just start the chain again? Is it just"better safe than sorry" or something else?
  18. You may need to clarify this. The way you've written in cones across as you're having a go at @AlexB
  19. It's ok @Theme Park Girl We could all use a little change. Isn't that right, @Zanstabar?
