  1. If you don't want to download the PDF
  2. Ah I thought you were trying get into DW. I stand by my avoid it all costs especially in this heat. Also do you have like an internal HR/careers type place you can talk to about other opportunities in the park?
  3. Was it you not long ago who applied for a job at Dreamworld? Did you get knocked back now you're trying Movieworld? I've worn a similar costume before. Holy crap it's hot in there, and it stinks of sweat. Find a better job
  4. Just steam, no fire. Steam and a nice hissing steam sound.
  5. I can't see anything wrong with this at all. The boat isn't in the air long enough to flip or fall out of it.
  6. Oh hang on a minute, I kept thinking they'd opened in September when it was initially planned. I forgot it was delayed. That makes more sense with the time frames. Overall, even if they don't have fire effects in (and based on Bemuda at the end, I'm leaning more towards them not making an appearance, but there's still hope) I just hope that someone's reading this and beg you, please, whatever you do, DO NOT put a shitty neon light in as a substitute. If there's no fire, leave it at no fire.
  7. In your opinion then (you too Alex) would it be a fairly simple thing to get approved you think we're likely to see? I'm guessing not as surely they would have done so by now? Their comment doesn't instill too much faith in it ever making an appearance since it's been open for a while now leaving plenty of time to submit things for approval and they say that it hasn't been completely ruled out. To me, and it's just my interpretation, that it has been ruled out for the foreseeable future. I'd love to be wrong though.
  8. 1- Yes the T&C are pretty standard and likely to be followed, but there's always the possibility that they can be overruled. 2- There is no question whatsoever that your replies were more courteous than mine. That fact was never up for question. 3- The contact details were taken straight from the WNWS page - I guess they are expecting a fairly decent showing from NZ. (Which you'd think they'd also target other markets - Asia, UK, USA etc - so it would make more sense - to me anyway - that they put an "international" number rather than one just targeted for NZ)
  9. Yeah fair enough. Makes sense. I guess it's too hard for anything to be overly easy these days.
  10. You're right, IF Dreamworld wanted to compete. Screamworld isn't designed to compete with Fright Nights. What rhymes and sell better? "Screamworld" or "Dreamworld after dark" A "scream" doesn't have to be as a result of seeing someone in a horror costume. edit- LOL! That's a good one! You expect that with the types of threads started recently on here that people are actually capable of looking things up for themselves?
  11. So a lower guest count AND fewer (if any) special events mean Dreamworld is more popular?
  12. Yeah, I get that, but to me it doesn't make sense that if approval is needed to turn it on, that approval wouldn't be needed to actually build it in the first place, and if so, surely I'm not the only one who thinks it's stupid that they can be given approval to build it and then get knocked back approval to turn the damn thing on?
  13. ^ Maybe he's just a popular guy
  14. The problem is, while these are the obvious and most likely correct answers, we, not being reps of the park and not being in positions of authority at the park (positions that can be verified apart from you just saying so on here) can't guarantee that this is the answer the park will provide. They may be feeling generous to his situation when he asks them, they may want to please some guests after the bad PR they've had in recent weeks, maybe they'll just tell him to gtfo and it's too bad. The point is, only the people in here who have told him to contact the park are the only ones providing useful information to his situation.
  15. While I really hope that's true, and sure, it does seem pretty plausable, the message does read as though it won't be coming, ever. Wouldn't approval have been given during construction though? Or can they just build whatever they want and just hope for approval later?
  16. AFAIK, no, they do not.
  17. Sure, sometimes we complain, it is known that on the large scale we do appreciate the parks. At lot of the discussions on here are more questioning the management's decision, this in turn promotes discussion, discussion which, if not here, would mean the forums wouldn't need to exist. Plus, let's say there is 15 active users on Parkz. That's 15 out of how many million people visit the parks each year? Even if we all bitched and moaned about something, that's 0.0001% of the guests represented and we're always going to be more harsh in our reviews because we're not all the "standard general public guests".
  18. Wonder what happened. Did the build it just in the hope they'd get approval for it? Did they forget to order non-flammable construction materials? Did they build it then realise they had some leftover neon light from bemuda?
  19. Hello , I'm pointing out that we don't actually represent and parks and I'm moving from my desk to my fridge for a drink while I type this...... and I'm back. Now I was wondering if you could actually either read your T&C's from the pass that you've bought, or, now this one may come as a shock to you, you might want to sit down for this, contact the park directly and ask them. 20. And it turned into the concrete jungle
  21. Not completely happy with this yet
  22. That would actually be fun doing the cyclone backwards. Cast your mind back to what the Cyclone queue USED to be. This is the one place in the park a turbine would actually benefit.
  23. Looks like we have a new gate scandal!!!!
