  1. Spent a few hours on this today.
  2. I'd say it's all over for the Gold Coast. I mean it's not like any particular company is spending hundreds of millions of dollars on multiple upgrades or projects or anything like that, so yeah, I'd say all parks will close in the coming weeks....
  3. That would explain why there didn't seem to be anything different between it and the beta I played yesterday I guess haha. Must have just been another patch.
  4. Agree, but in all honesty, the fees come from Visa and Mastercard, but the banks could cover it themselves I guess.
  5. I wonder which of these I'll try....
  6. From your completely unbiased opinion, which of the shows so far has been the best?
  7. Yeah I could probably get higher FPS from this, but I don't want to go back to less than 3 monitors now. I should note that I was running in a borderless window too with other stuff running in the background on the other monitors.
  8. Ok just tested it on ultra everything. Had DOF turned off as a personal preference. Got an average of 80-100fps in an empty park testing 1 coaster. Average of 65 fps in an empty park with 3 coasters testing at the same time and the day/night cycle transitioning. Average of 40-80fps in a full park with a bunch of rides going. ^ Tests were done in first person on ride view. ^ There's only 1 graphics card, it's just how it reports it for some reason. This is easier to read, but doesn't report the card correctly as 6gb.
  9. Alright someone remind me in about an hour and a half and I'll crank everything up and see how the beta runs
  10. Maybe, but it would likely be a pretty bad experience. It's pretty resource heavy. I haven't even got mine on the highest settings and I'm running a GTX980ti but I think they made some tweaks between Alpha and release to make it run better. I'll have to revisit my settings after launch. Sounds like you've got an excuse to buy a new laptop though
  11. What if like the matrix having no spoon, the coaster had no inversion?
  12. Alright, MW staff people - we're discussing the damn port a loo now. We need some new clues please!
  13. Yeah 254*254 is the biggest RCT3 tile, but it's not measured the same in PC
  14. It feels like it's smaller. By a decent margin, but I don't know the full dimensions of each as I don't have RCT3 installed.
  15. Until a couple of years ago, the carousel had been in the Broadbeach Mall since 1990, becoming a Gold Coast icon. But while it's been in council hands for almost 20 years, no one knows exactly how old it is. The carousel's history previous to its arrival in the mall is unknown, a mystery council records staff are trying to solve. http://www.abc.net.au/local/stories/2009/10/30/2728985.htm
  16. More of a "Mine Cart" ride. You sat in mine carts and whizzed around the track. Here's some footage which should give you a pretty good idea what it was all about. It also gives you a good indication of the current state of the track too.
  17. It would be fairly safe to say that the people responsible for designing theme parks would have this covered pretty well.
  18. ^ It's already got steam workshop support. I'd say once it's released, or at least not too long after it's released, we'll start to see some CSO, CFR and CTR pop up.
  19. I would doubt that the incident on what was effectively a prototype ride would mean they'd abandon the companies other attractions.
  20. The family friendly kind of vibe Sea World had before as far as rides go really worked great for them IMO. I really think they should bring the Pirate Ship back, as it just fits in so well with the area, and is a great family attraction.
  21. Alpha (or early access) is a reasonably new thing that was never available to public before. It's similar to what demos used to be, but they found a way to cash in on things. Beta is what it goes to after a few of the major bugs have been ironed out and some more features added for testing. After beta, games move to a released state where they get produced and sold off the shelf. You'll then get a lot of "day one patches" where they didn't have time to release the update into the production copy. Then there's patches and content updates, bug fixes and plenty of DLC to come afterwards.
