I'd be keen to see how they manage that though. I thought it was a basic RFID tag. I don't know much about the tech involved in those but are they easy to actually disable the transmitter on them after a certain point? In any case, I for one wouldn't be buying a new band if they do stop my existing one from working. Sure, they're a bit of fun, but not worth having to pay for again IMO.

Given the amount of people on here who do actually know and haven't said anything to settle people down suggests we should be right in hyping it up. Think back to Doomsday. If my memory serves me correctly, someone said something along the lines of we'd like the ride but wouldn't be blown away by what's coming. This time we haven't heard anything like that from people in the know and instead we've been dropped teasers by those people plus the park themselves. This should be big.

Given there was a lot of complaining about this last week, I wanted to say a huge thank you to the lighting guys. The event is no longer drowned in purple and it makes it so much better for getting photos. This weekend was a massive improvement on last week. Nope, did the Terror Tour last week and doing it again next week.

Purely a guess, but I'd say there's licensing issues preventing them from doing so.

You'll hear plenty of "wtf are you doing?" and "what's going on" as you come out you'll get a few "ha! you had to go to the back of the line".

I'm the other way, I get more enjoyment from watching someone struggle to slam it down for no result, then just walk up and press it without a hammer and send it to the top.

Those are probably the easiest things to break. In saying that, I'm sure they're designed to take a hit from the people who think it's all about strength and feel a need to show off.
