Sea World lighthouse - Star Flyer replacement

They need to do a whole lot better than that! -
I have a feeling it might only be increased during the busiest month of the year. Then they'll advertise a 'Special super-low discount' price (similar to the current ones). If so, I actually think that would be a smart marketing idea!

Wow. Looks like that was a really good theme park. What a shame it's no longer open!

I think there's plenty of Wildlife already. What's needed ate more new and much better quality rides and walk through attractions, and maybe a couple of good restaurants. -

Some quality theme park dirt in them photos. A little bit too chunky for my liking in parts, but I'm being too finicky! On the whole, quality dirt! -
If it was something more than just swimming pools and waterfalls, why wouldn't they want to be very clear about that? It would be like Village saying they've added a small cinema screen in Australian Outback Spectacular!

How does one prevent oneself from sliding down while one is on a slide painting the inside of it?

If you get off the monorail at the resort station you can get your hand stamped in the shop to allow reentry to Sea World. If you parked at the resort there could possibly be a bit of difficulty getting into the theme park without such a stamp.

When I'm next on Scooby-Doo Spooky Coaster, and at Australian Outback Spectacular, I'll keep reminding myself that I'm looking at a screen. Actually sod it. I'll just cancel the tickets to Outback Spectacular and watch a movie on my parents old black and white television instead. It'll be virtually the same! 😁

Were you thinking of Wild West Falls? That has single lap bars! -

They've been individual lap bars for at least the last 3 years, and most probably longer. -
I know little about these things, but I'd say if a ride needs that much maintenance, it may be a subtle sign that its time is at an end!

Projection mapping has nothing to do with screens! That's precisely what makes it so amazing.

Nor in mine. I've often stopped at the resort for a coffee or snack. Much nicer than the food outlets in the park.

You have to be incredibly specific for some people! -
I had no idea some of those technologies had been around for so long! Just expanding on the variable ride idea, imagine a ride which was actually two totally different rides after the first short part. One slow and calm, the other hair-raising and fast. Or one dry, and the other wet! Random luck determined which you got!

Sea World lighthouse - Star Flyer replacement

I can only take this as someone at Village at least acknowledging that Sea World should have rides as well as animals. Embarrassing in the extreme that a temporary fairground ride is their lame attempt to address this. -
I've had a similar idea myself but not necessarily with shooter elements. It could be just somewhat random (although not completely so you could still have a "special" section that you have to be lucky to see). If any park introduces a variable ride such as these it will be a massive drawcard, as it would be unlike any other theme park attraction in the world (to my knowledge). Imagine a Willy Wonka Chocolate Factory ride where you are one of the golden ticket winners, but only if you are Charlie do you finish up on the Great Glass Elevator part!

Just watched a video of Shanghai Pirates, which I saw previously about a year ago. It's a good example of how animatronics and technological effects can work together to produce a brilliant ride. djrappa, I was basically agreeing with your last post, not arguing!

I'd say both physical sets and technology should be used to complement each other. A ride with only one or the other is probably unlikely to be very good.
