The repainting of the Hydrocoaster is well underway, and you can really tell how badly faded it had become. Hopefully they continue the repainting of all the slides over the next year or so

Wow that looks so much better!! It really shows how bad the slides have been.

Finally they are doing something right.👍🏻

Looks like Ardent just blew its budget for 2017/2018 financial year.

Lo and behold, Ardent are repainting rides for once!

While we're at it, can Ardent repaint Buzzsaw and Hot Wheels? The paints on those - especially the latter - could arguably be considered in worse shape than the slides.

It's a false sense of security DW are trying to portray as you drive past on the M1.  (Nothing to see here, all shinny and new).

Anyone know what the earth works are for in the old Thunderbolt area behind WWW.  Thought that was just a car park for staff now, or have i missed something being announced?

Well @thunder001 it seems like it is for the previously rummered lazy river for WWW, but nothing has been officially announced as of yet.

 

It’s a Graveyard for where Dreams go to die....

An adventure river and expansion of WWW was announced with I-Ride and it seems construction is finally beginning.

Just drove past and it was too hard to get a photo from the highway but a large portion of the WWW side of the carpark has been blocked off... nothing within the area to indicate what it’s for 

I noticed that too, I’d say it’s so that machinery can be in the carpark to pain parts of the slide that can’t be accessed any other way 

The area marked off looks a lot bigger than what would be required to repaint STHC.   

 Side note, the EMP hills haven’t been repainted yet.

Side, Side note, DW haven’t utilised the temporary construction fences that we have come accustom to.  DW have placed orange barriers that you would normally see during road works.

You think they are going to move the stuff from the maintenance yard/graveyard into the carpark? In full public view and just before the busiest time of the season?

Repaint is completed. Work is now happening on the magnets

And the reason for the carpark partly being sectioned off is because it’s for bus access. The bus stop is currently outside WWWs entry, when buses leave, they travel between the barricades using the left lane and cars use the right lane.

The bus stop has been there for months now, it’s sectioned off for trucks moving the dirt from the lazy river to gold rush.

How does one prevent oneself from sliding down while one is on a slide painting the inside of it?
