Hi All, My submission is attached. I know I have strayed a little by adding the Planet Hollywood to the park but I thought it would be a great way to add something completely new to Movie World and is part of my solution for re-use of the Batman Adventure Ride Building. It is also opening the park for reguar night events :-) Part of my solution is to create a new access to Superman Escape, Arkham (I like the MW idea) and two new rides next to superman. I have reused the existing batman ride in two section. 1st Section is the Planet Hollywood Bar & Grill and Hollywood Museum and 2nd section is the new Dark Ride (Justice League Adventure Ride). Did anyone else read the article in the Courier-Mail earlier this week about Village Roadshow’s profits for the last period. It look’s as though the studios and park are doing okay cashflow wise. Hopefully this means good things for the future and maybe even better attention to detail in the attractions for this year!!! As for 2012 attractions. I would love to see a 4D simulator attraction in the batman building. It surprised me when the Batman Ride went because it was unique to any park at the moment in Australia and I loved the feeling you get in the simulator. And the shows were regular and they took a lot of people off other rides. I'm not sure there is enough room in the batman buildings for a quality dark ride with track work etc.... I am seriously considering a trip to Singapore mid year to check the park out!!! A flight over there looks to be about $850.00 return and park entry for two days is about $89.00 (AUD).

I got the image from www.nearmap.com.au. It provides high quality images of Australia. The images are taken from a plane rather than satellite. I added the lines in Corel Draw. Your probably right, MW can only support a few changes at one!!

I think the mystery photo was taken just behind the old Loony Tune River Ride!!!! (see image) Sooo, is this for lethal weapon ....or.... the 'exciting new attraction' in the LRR!!! I can't find anywehere else in the park the photo may have been taken. The give away for me was the light in the carpark!!! What do you reckon!!

Mabye the German translation is better but the name "Movie Park" does nothing for me..... One thing I do like is that Movie Park has a few more flat rides. I get a great kick out of flat rides like 'The Claw' at DW and Movie World could do with some more.

Any word on Round 3?

I couldn't find a better forum to post this image comparison I created...since where talking about international film theme parks I thought it might be appropriate. Has anyone notice that there is a theme park in Germany VERY similar to our Movie World on the Gold Coast!!! I think at one time it was a Warner Bos. establishment but not anymore. It's amazing how the template can be cut and paste so easily. Whilst ours was constructed first I think theirs is probably more thrilling and slightly bigger. It's a bit complicated to describe as there are transparancies, shadows and various colours to use so I have attached a diagram to help explain the process. Thanks for the comments about my submission. I had thought of future expansion of the park in that area and decided that the access point would be straight ahead of the bridge over the grand canyon. The path would circle behind The Wagon Wheel until it reaches the open space behind Lethal Weapon. I would remove the temporary barrier directly behind The Wagon Wheel to make it feel open. Various Shops/cafes/activities would be constructed along the pathway to encourage people into the area. As a further thought, the new path could provide a link (new entry) to the studio administration building to create the appropriate entry for the people wanting to access the function centre after hours. So many options.....!!!!!

Hi All, Here is my submission. I have a presentation panel plus two attachments with more detail about the specific rides and how they fit into the expanded Wild West Falls area. Hi All. Here is my Submission (I couldn't get it to upload as an image so it is a jpeg attachment). The new kids area is called 'The Warner Bros. Magic Adventure Land' and is aimed at combining the aspect of magic (Harry potter) and Adventure (Journey 2) in a revamped kids area. Sorry if there are spelling errors.... The image is clearer if you downlad and view on computer.

That china town area is still the exit of LW so unless there are plans for a new exit I suspect it will have to remain open. I agree new theming would be nice but it may not be a priority of MW as they are spending less and less on theming :-( Their focus may be on completing other attractions first. Hopefully their focus will be on the redevelopment of The Batman Ride and Bugs River Ride :-)
