POLL - What Theme Park would you like to see in Australia?
alex_1 replied to Thrillrulz's topic in Theme Park Discussion
4-5 good coasters is better than one or two at Universal, and one if you're lucky at disneyworld/disneyland. And sorry, dark rides just arent my thing at all. And I agree, a Busch Gardens would be fantastic. They excel at making fantastic coasters, and theming them beautifully. -

Still not as good as Six Flags rides. Anyway the first two are just dark rides and Dragon Challenge doesnt duel anymore, though theyre still good B&M inverts but they just seem kinds pointless now. -
Wheres TPR when you need them Oh right, theyre not coming back for another 5 years. Shame. Hopefully Movieworld will post a POV, if not Im sure someone will sneak on a camera somehow lol

What a dissapointment. Movieworld just announced on their facebook page that they took some new measurements and Green Lantern actually has the SECOND steepest drop in the world, with 120 degrees. Not 122.

Arkham Asylum: Shock Therapy (Lethal Weapon Retheme)

Apparently so. Nah I just dont really pay any attention to shows and all that. But what Saw maze are you talking about? The one for Fright Nights? What I meant though is they probably would keep major rides as Warner Bros themed. -
I visited last year, it just didnt do much for me personally. But I'm not saying dont go, I think you should go to Disneyland and SFMM, so thats one park your wife will like and another park that you will like. I just think the YOU needs to try one family-type themed park, and one thrill-filled amusement park.

Yeah but I didnt want to say it would only cost us $3 million as someone would tell me it costs more here, so I doubled it just to show how affordable it really is. And RCDB says $2.9 million. http://www.rcdb.com/3727.htm A eurofighter would be an awesome addition to a park like Aussie World or even Luna Park. Who knows, Dreamworld could even go all out and make an awesome custom Eurofighter to compete with Movieworld's Green Lantern. Back to the more immediate future, I'd love to see Aussie World get a great new flat ride. I think something that can invert riders would be great and be the parks "big thrill ride", which would draw in crowds. Anybody know any good flat rides that can be bought for $1 million? Something like a Zamperla Power Surge maybe, or possibly even one of those "mini" top spins.

Ah ok I wasnt aware. I would still think it would be something Warner Bros themed. -
Im hoping in the future they'll be able to get a decent coaster. A small eurofighter like the Spongebob one at Mall of America isnt entirely out of the question. That ride cost $3,000,000 to build and yes I know it costs more to build rides in Australia, but even if you double it thats only $6,000,000, which is quite affordable.

I dont know what Magic Mountain has anything to do with this... The point is Movieworld base their rides on Warner Bros films as the park is owned by Warner Bros. However you never know. Universal Studios made a Harry Potter section of the park and Harry Potter isnt owned by Universal Pictures. -
I personally think you should just go to SFMM. You're lucky enough to have the opportunity to be in the same state as a fantastic theme park, and I think it'd be a waste to go to Universal and Disneyland. I'm actually trying to save up money to go to California just so I can go to SFMM. I'll be riding the rides alone but it'll be more than worth it IMO. I think you should try going to SFMM and ditch Universal. Hollywood's Universal park is very mediocre, even Movieworld has more rides.

Six Flags or Cedar Fair for me. I get people want loads of theming but I just really want a super-thrill park, and those 2 companies seem to excel at that. From my experience, Universal parks are very boring. They have a very limited selection of rides, even at IOA. Disney parks have that "magic" to them but they are severely lacking in the thrill department. -

That would be a good idea but I dont think the Terminator merchandise is owned by Warner Bros -
Yeah MW are strange like that. They never know what to say, and once they say something theyll change it or take it back. I'm not sure it even has the steepest drop in the world, on ACA they said 120 degrees.
