It want a full cycle or anything just a few disjointed elements. Occasionally they stopped it and did something to the motors. They didn't do anything really exciting as a lot of it was done quite slowly. All the pathway was finished to.

BREAKING NEWS!!Wipeout is up and testing at the moment! Will post pictures when I get home.

Been at dreamworld today and noticed a bunch of test dummies lying around the site. The whole pool area under the ride had been sprayed with blue paint and all the sand was removed from it. The maintenance team was testing and working on the harness system. Nothing new on the new thrill ride though.

I'm pretty sure that it's just ironic that a shark with pointy teeth and smooth body is called something 'cute' like Fluffy. I don't think there is any unique or deep meaning to it. Unless you mean you want to know who decided it would be called fluffy in which case I have no clue ?.

Hmm not sure I like the new paint job on Wipeout... Good pictures though ?

I was at Dreamworld today and saw a couple of changes over at the Wipeout. Firstly all the fencing was removed and new footings for the new fencing was going up. They seemed to be laying the foundational wireframe stuff down where the pathway is being extended to. The footings for the fence were right up against where the water used to be. Also the entire wooden platform thing was removed and the only thing left there was a big concrete slab that had a tent over the top of it so that no one could see into it. No progress on the new thrill ride or water slide though.

When i was there on thursday it was sitting behind flow rider in that dirt carpark area.

^God i hope not. I went to Dreamworld today and noticed quite a few changes. Wipeout was getting a plain grey undercoat of paint, the wooden porch thing that was over the pool underneath wipeout was being ripped up and some of the fencing was being dismantled. I also saw the queue line being dismantled. The next big thing i noticed was a sign on the construction fence around reef diver saying "The Big 9 Thrill rides are evolving... Watch here for a new SPIN opening in September 2014." Sounds like it is going to spin a bit. To be honest I would;t be surprised if we got a Zamperla PowerSurge or the Fabbri Sky Swinger.

Went to movie world today to find superman down for maintenance. Seems to be getting a lot of love with the entire area blocked off for painting. All the supports were getting a fresh dose of paint which will look great. Because superman was closed the only way to get to arkham asylum was through the alleyway near Scooby doo. No work has been done in the alleyway just gray drab paint and marks on the walls where windows, signs and doors used to be. Was kind of hoping they would do something here now that they've opened it up but it looks like crap.

I agree i absolutely hate the Fast Track System. When they did the trial at movie world, even though it was free, those who missed out on getting the fast track were forced to wait twice as long as usual because they did one train FT and one normal. It was very frustrating waiting in those lines and kind of made everyone a bit more angry. There's nothing worse at a theme park than standing in a long line that only moves slightly every 10 mins. end rant...

I was there today and there was heaps more of the slide done. It wouldn't surprise me if it was finished in the next couple of days (structure wise not finished finished). I think for the rafts they will be quite light compared to the tornado because of first there's only three seats, and second the tubes won't need to be as tough and thick as Tornado's because it is significantly slower and 'less extreme' if you get my drift.

. i don't think so. Dreamworlds profits have gone down but when you look at Village Roadshows the percentage of loss is very similar

I was actually looking off the giant drop you can see it quite clearly. even see some of the back yard. I remember going up when the old series were on and seeing the contestants in the backyard

Does anyone know where the new big brother house is because it's definitely not in the old house. I went to dreamworld a few days ago and the old house is still dirt and rust and still has arts of the old house in it.

Something that i noticed about the renewal of the passes for gold members is that they need to call up myfun because they can't do them online or at the parks. Not sure if this will get you the fright night and white christmas stuff. This is probably because if people renew there passes and there are more sod again there will simply too many people at these events and they won't be able to sell tickets to the general public.

As for having to have $10 in coins u just go to the photo centre next door and they give you change for your notes willingly u don't even have to ask really. But i do agree i think something like what dreamworld has for MDMC would work pretty well.

Has anybody been lately? Is there any change with audio or the china town area?

I've never had a ride with out audio. But i suppose i'm just lucky.

I don't know if anyone's seen this but it's a video of the cyclone when it was at luna park. It has red trains back then which has become quite obvious on cyclones trains. Now that the paints started to scratch off you can see the original red carriages.

I have personally been on this ride many many times and never not had audio. Either i'm really lucky" or you're really unlucky.

Has anyone else noticed that the audio has been playing up a lot lately. I went over the weekend and around some of the drops and inversions and some of the corners the audio was dropping out and going all crackly like an old radio. It happened on all three of my rides through the day so I doubt it would've just been the car i was in.

^^ I completely agree. I was there today also and waiting for green lantern and it took about an hour and a half to get from where the yellow monster thing is to the front of the line. Then after we got into the gates they sent three loads of fast track people through. It took us about 2 hours to get through a line that usually would take about 45 minutes. I would hate to see this system installed unless they charge people to use it in that case less people would use it making it less painful and slow.
