So... Since this is the off topic thread I thought I'd just mention this. According to a billboard outside Dreamworld, Dreamworld is no longer a theme park, but it instead where you can find a theme park. The billboard states "Australia's Biggest theme park: Only at Dreamworld." Another billboard states something else ended with "Only at Dreamworld." Also, as always, no pics from me.

TBH this just looks like a resurfacing. Maybe it is for that street market, but who knows. But it really doesn't look like an expansion of any sort...

I've just been to Sea World, and there has been some progress, but I didn't have a camera on me so no photos. The first supports have gone up, and by the look of their positioning they are for a banked turn underneath the lift hill, one has also gone up near where the final drop should be. So the ride should come up quite fast now -
But isn't Dino Island closing this year? Unless it's some big B&M with awesome themeing (We wish...), I don't see a replacement taking until 2015. Unless it takes that long for the sand to settle where the land reclamation has been happening...

Why don't Village just buy Dreamworld? Though, then there would be no competition and we might not get as many new rides...

Searched around for about 30 seconds and found this article. http://www.travelchannel.com/interests/family/photos/worlds-coolest-roller-coasters It looks like the one you are referring to. EDIT: And I got beaten by a matter of seconds... -
The parks normally close rides in the latter weeks of February. So if your coming in the earlier weeks that would be better. Also, just to mention, I find tuesdays seems to be the quietest day during the week, so look at going then. But again, most days in the week would be best.

I'd probably go if I went to India, and I fairly likely to go their, at least judging by my pattern of travel.

Don't call someone an idiot. Makes you look like an idiot. And I would trust Linus more than you, I think we all would. I've heard that it's going to be closer to 3 minutes. Which may mean it's going to have a slower section somewhere. -
So, someone is yet to question how much main street will be scaled down. I'm yet to work it out (gazza probably will before me) but I think they could probably fill up most of the building with the under cover area of main street. You then go outside when you get out of the undercover area of main street and you can circle around the fountain and then back under. The station could be at the end of main street and off to one side, maybe where the entrance to the kids area is located. And along the edge of the building would be the queue lines. This would push the attraction to one side of the building which would make the entrance closer the end north western corner of the building. Then where the path would be to go to the western area it would circle around and there would be a maintenance area where the stunt drivers would be. This would also give it access to a major access door at the eastern end of the building. Doing this it would probably make use of the most space. Also, the queue lines could be very well themed with cars in places along with some Movie World characters.

I've been looking through some videos of Mack Rides and it appears that a small drop, something which is semi-obvious in the images of the site, is common at the base if that final drop before the final splash down. -
Thats interesting, it's not classified as being in the Kids WB Fun Zone. Though, where else would it be...

This is beginning to sound very hopeful! Especially with the fire effects, and the story line is finally being semi-revealed. -
Thats looking very promising.

A number of years ago I tried a driving school style attraction at Legoland in Denmark. It is actually quite a fun experience for younger kids. though I think it is suited to an outdoor location. If it's indoor I can't see it as much more than a less crazy bumper cars attraction...

But knowing Movie Worlds recent discrepancy in marketing and names who knows what it will be in the end...

This looks interesting. I wonder how much it will cost.

The problem with that, as far as I know, is that the trains differ in sizes and would require some amount of work to make them work together. Scrap that, they are the same model...

That is an amazing video.

Did not see this coming {Dreamworld}

Knowing reanimated's history of april 1st news articles... -
And also, if it was something to do with the theatre then the current positioning of the billboards could actually make sense.
-
It could be something like that. But they could easily make something like that but make it LT themed. If they made that it would certainly be much more fun than just a model of Move World. Though IMO I would like to see a nice model, but I like those kinds of things and others might not.

Yeah the bridge is looking quite worn out. It really only supports the trains tracks which aren't used any more. So it probably will be going. -

So, I went to sea world the other day. They seem to be digging up old foundations from the first lift hill on Bt that were buried in the sand. Not much else seems to be happening on site. All the water from the pools in Jet Rescue has been drained for some reason. And there is very little lake left in the northern end of the lake. I wasn't able to get photos sadly. But I will try to get some in the next few weeks.
