Ok, the line is probably the best themed out of the 3 coasters (superman, GL, and Arkham), I don't see much point in decorating the ride track when you can barely see anything whilst riding anyway (this is where the audio will enhance the experience). The line features Prison cells for Mr. Freeze (with Icecles along the top), two face (just a generic cell), Poison Ivy (has vines growing acrros the door), Killer Croc (has eyes that light up and also has a banging sound as if he is attempting escape, and there is a green tube of liquid (venom formula) for Bane in a large sell. The ride loaders are in orange jumpsuits and the operators in the room are in Arkham Guard suits. The ride exeperience is much smoother and the brakes are now also very smooth.

I disagree, having ridden on it today I have to say it is probably the most themed ride at Movie World. The on board audio won't in my opion make it any more "Arkham Asylum" than it is now. As far as I'm concerned The Green Lantern on ride audio does nothing to tie in the theme. The ride was open from around 10:15 - 3:30, with only a few short delays, while I was waiting the train stopped just as was going up the lift-hill and was "stuck" for about 7-8 minutes and the green buttons sometimes were not releasing the restraints and had to be manually opened by the maintenance team. apart from that everything seemed to be running smoothly.

Having now used the the Fast Track system myself today, I can say for the most part it wasn't too much faster. Today seemed a rather quiet day considering it was school holidays so the lines weren't to long to begin with. Superman Escape Fast Track was useless as the line wasn't long enough to make a difference, Scooby Doo saved about 10-15minutes which was good, and the Green Lantern Fast Track saved about 30mins - simply walked up the exit and straight onto the ride. It seems to be fair, now that it is a free system, each Fast Track is split into 15min time frames with a set number per time (depending on the ride). When I first got into the park I got a fast track ticket for Green Lantern at the 10:45-11:00 time, It was about 10:20 so i went and queued normally on the Superman and was on the ride in about 20mins, (they had the 2 trains running most of the day), once i got off i went straight up the Green Lantern exit and got to ride within 2mins (instead of the 40min wait that had backed up)

The world’s first Arkham Asylum themed ride ‘Arkham Asylum – Shock Therapy’. Yes it is refering to the fact that this is the first ride in the world to be based on the Video game Batman: Arkham Asylum.

Is it just me or is there no reference to Arkham Asylum "Shock Therapy" in the themeing, the cars say Arkham Asylum "Intensive Treatment", the old theatre entrance says Jokers Arkham Asylum "Funhouse" even the entrance sign just says Arkham Asylum.

In my opinion I don't mind the 2D themeing of Movie World, Thats one thing i always found interesting going there as a child, seeing something that looks real from a distance but up close it isn't (Much like actual Movie Making- its all illusions) - its not like this is new look at Wayne Manor, the Forced Perspective Alley in main st., the mural in Wild West area. All 2d effects which show the illusion of movie making and the later two are very popular photo ops for tourists.

The fact that the "Important Annoucement" was listed as a marine attraction, kind of gave it away very early,

I agree it will be interesting to see if they maintain it, There is a lot of "Plastic" themeing going on in the Dreamworks Experience which no doubt will begin to fade in the constant QLD sun (though it has been very wet as of late). Well considering QLD school holidays start tomorrow I don't think it will be open , Maybe they're aiming for the Easter long weekend instead - Less competition from the Dreamworks Experience.

Movie World is owned by Village Roadshow not Warner Bros., even they have to have these copyright disclaimers on there website and I believe park maps to give credit to the copyright holders - WARNER BROS. I know that in Australia Warner Bros., Paramount and Universal are all distributed by Village Roadshow (in terms of DVD and Bluray sales). Is this why Universal Studios were able to secure rights to Transformers for the ride (a Paramount Movie) and Harry Potter (a Warner Bros. movie)?

You have to remember that the ride is being themed to the game not any of the movies so those are the major characters featured. Joker and Harley Quinn are the two main Villians in both the "Batman: Arkham Games", Bane also has a large role in both, and Croc is featured in the first game but only makes a cameo in the second. They also stated "It’s time to get to know who you just may came across in the Asylum.", so they might not have listed all the charaters here just a few to get people interested.

I recently heard on a news story on channel 7, about the upcoming Dreamworks Experience, that Dreamworld only has a contract with Dreamworks for the next 5years. It seems like a big investment for something that could potentially last only 5 years? Although I know that it's probable they will renew the license.

Either was - Scarecrow, The Riddler, Catwoman, Clayface, etc.

Possible ride themes from non DC Warner Bros property - * Nightmare on Elm Street * Harry Potter * Final Destination * Terminator * Star Wars (Clone Wars) * Charlie and The Chocolate Factory * Polar Express * The Matrix * Pokemon Movies * Iron Giant But in saying that they don't really have to be based on a "Movie" in particular, but just a genre. Like the "Wild West Falls Adventure Ride", it isn't based on any specific movie, but the genre of Western movies in general.

Yes, but why then would the ride be called "Arkham Asylum - Shock Therapy". Arkham City has nothing to do with the Asylum itself (In terms of location). The tagline "the inmates are running the Asylum" wouldn't make sense if it were arkham city. Besides Movie World has already stated that the ride is to be based on the events in the game - Batman: Arkham Asylum - when Joker took control of the Asylum, which took place one year before before the events Arkham City, and about 6 months before it even existed.

In regards to the "Arkam Warehouse" as well, if you have played the game on which the ride is to be based, Arkham Asylum is an Island facility made of a number of Buildings - The Mansion, The Penitentiary, The Medical Facility, The Botanical gardens and a number of smaller buildings/sheds - so the warehouse sign definitely fits the theme.

Maybe, but I'm not sure. I don't remember anything official from Movie World saying Boxing Day, They did however say "Opening this Summer" or "Face the power this Summer", I think we all just assumed that ment Boxing day which is traditionally the day new attractions open.

I beleive the official opening of the Green Lantern was December 23rd, it didn't just open whenever - (they had a soft openening on the 16th). Arkham Asylum will be much the same I think. I'd say official opening in April 1st (Perfect for a ride with a strong focus on the Joker character opening on April Fools day) with a soft opening a few days prior.
