Looks good from the outside, I can see what people are saying about the inside of the enclosure not looking great. But once the plants mature, most of the green walls will obscured. Would have been nice to see the "tree trunks" completed on the inside as well.

Haha don't get your knickers in a knot, for someone that doesn't care what anyone think your sure are getting worked up about it. It is clear you were proud of the work produced., the reception has been critical yes, but only because I and others here have seen a far greater potential. If you truly feel that to reach that potential you would have needed 10 times the budget then I would suggest that Movie World find someone else to make such videos in the future.

I'd buy the live streaming thing if that's how they made the video to look, not the multi-angle infomercial style we got, but yes that's another option that could have worked. Obviously the script would have to be reworked a bit. But a character like Harley pulls off sarcasm no worries, so her doing a safety speil is no stretch. That's what the staff in the VR booth are for. The demand isn't so high and the line moves so slowly at that point that the staff do give the necessary info to each guest at time of purchase. This video is an extra layer they chose to add to the ride.

Hey I understand you're personally invested in the video, but surely you can see where all the heat is coming from? You're saying the nursing team at Arkham asylum just happened to be filming a new information video at the exact time Joker made his escape (the rise in the video mentions at the end in that horrible accent "that laugh, green hair etc" so clearly Joker is out at time of filming) and the video still somehow managed to make its way to the shock therapy ward to be played to patients? The concept just doesn't work as it currently stands and the execution of the video is even worse (that actor clearly had no direction given to her). For a place called Movie World it is a rather embarrassing attempt at something that had potential to be a great addition. As I said earlier it would make sense for one of Jokers henchmen, sidekicks or as I mentioned Harley to be the one in the video, a minor change that would make a world of difference. It's the little things that make a big difference.

Yes it is true that the different sugars react differently in the body, but it is to such a small degree. Especially the simple sugars; glucose and fructose (fruit sugars). That one is no better or worse than the other. (By the way lactose is the "milk sugar" not glucose 😉) Fruit juices (boost included) are by far a worse option than soft-drinks. Most people view them as healthy and don't realise how much sugar is packed into them and therefore don't feel as "bad" for consuming them. Its like the people that say they put honey in their tea because it's healthier than sugar. (Honey actually contains more calories than standard table sugar)

That makes no sense the whole premise of the ride is the fact that the inmates are loose - the very first room upon entering the ride queue has a TV (on the guards head) with a news report explaining that the inmates have escaped and taken over the asylum. The current video spoils the continuity set up by the queue.

Talk about the physical lighting being installed belongs here yes. Talk about what they should have done, what we want them to do, and which department store sells the cheapest fairy lights - does that really fit here?

Technically Fucshia is the correct spelling for both the colour and the plant - the colour comes from the name of the plants flower. Seems first year Plant Biology 101 at uni did teach me something relevant

Just wait and see on the day, I feel it looks really busy out the front then grab one as soon as you enter the park. They only sell a limited number of unlimited passes per day. The fast track lines don't open until 10:30 though, so it's best to head straight to Arkham Asylum and ride that in the morning before the queue grows. Arkham is the only major ride that doesn't have a fast-track queue, but you do get 1 free VR ride with the gold unlimited pass.

Perhaps Backwards riding will be available only on the unlimited gold Fast-track option. Where each fast-track holder is entitled to ride backwards once using fast-track, but unlimited rides using fast-track in the normal seats? similar to Arkham VR, each unlimited fast-track holder gets 1 free VR experience, the ride op then marks off on the armband that it has been used.

I agree, hopefully it gets the point across to hold the headset in your hands until you're seated. The amount of people I have seen putting them on and trying walk blindly to the gates astonishes me. Though I have to say most culprits appear to be non-English speaking tourists so not sure how much impact the video will have. I think it would have been awesome if they found someone to play Harley Quinn dressed as a nurse giving the spiel. As it currently stands the video is jarring with the story of the queue line that the Joker has already taken over the Asylum.

Nostalgia is one thing that Dreamworld has over Movie World though, they should use it to their advantage. Many of Disneyland's rides rely heavily on the nostalgia factor, what are Dumbo's flying elephants or Alice's teacups without nostalgia, just dressed up carnival rides, yet they are iconic rides of the park. Would Disney really open a Small World in every one of its parks if it wasn't for the nostalgia factor? I doubt it.

I get this, but he clearly said they would be aiming for September - which they are not they are aiming for October and if it is ready earlier so be it. If they honestly knew it would be ready and open for September, they would be pushing the campaign as being open for the September school holidays would they not?

Is it just me, or is the poll attached to this thread more useless than most? - every option is essentially a "maybe" I don't think that the hypercoaster will do very much damage to the already slipping attendance. If anything it may help, this coaster will attract interstate visitors who will already be familiar with Dreamworld, many of whom would probably be willing to add an extra day their trip to visit Dreamworld whilst their already here.
