A 3% drop in shares in one day is quite significant and it is highly unlikely it was just a coincidence.

I doubt they had any plans to close the ride, or have any solid plans for a new attraction in its place. The sign was most likely placed to ease some people's frustrations at its closure.

I rode Arkham with VR for the first time yesterday (you get one VR ride included with the unlimited fast track band), overall it was a great experience, I wouldn't say it was any better or worse with VR just a different experience. Funnily enough I found the lift hill the most enjoyable part with VR. It would be a lot more immersive if sound could also be implemented. The only downside is the extra time it takes to load and dispatch the trains when VR is operating, a few people had to have headsets swapped out and recalibrated each time. Not sure if it has been mentioned but TV's have been added to the queue line playing footage of Harley and the Joker in a lab talking about the treatment (in the same animation style as the games).

Can confirm that the axes are still swinging and at least animatronic is still in place but not operating.

The attraction is already up and running "Long Shot" *can't rotate photo on iPhone sorry ?

Just rode Scooby, it is very dark, making it hard to see the temp fencing which is in place. The final room did have haze and the laser lights working. It was a very eery feeling riding in its current state.

At MW now and Doomsday is testing.

Cameras are allowed on Scooby though, why would there be any consequences? MW always asks for private details to discuss complaints, nothing out of the ordinary.

I was at the park on Tuesday and their was signage in front of the slide area stating that it would reopen mid December, which has clearly past, so not sure what the hold up could be.

How do you know the crowd numbers they were anticipating?

Yes, lots of photos please

This is current list of rides and attractions opening tomorrow:

I just think they should be more careful as not to draw anymore negative attention to themselves, especially knowing the media will be all over this reopening day.

The Big Red Car, Teacups and Giggle & Hoot Bounce are not listed as being open on Saturday - only the ABC World area itself, including the maze and ship.

The wording is very misleading to say the least, especially the last line here: "The Dreamworld attractions re-opening from 10 December include all WhiteWater World slides and pools along with the park’s wildlife areas, entertainment and family attractions in DreamWorks Experience, Wiggles World, ABC KIDS WORLD and the Motorsports Experience.Other rides will progressively open at Dreamworld as they are signed off by the safety review process." By stating that "other rides" will open progressively would indicate that at least one "ride" in Dreamworld will be open on the day, which according to the list is not true. The statement should;d have read "Dreamworld's rides will progressively open..."

I think the comment in the article was relating to raising funds for Kate's 2 daughters - "a crowd funding page which raised more than $67,000 for Ms Goodchild's two daughters"

They could make speed comparisons with Superman Escape in other ways though - e.g. "There is only one thing faster than superman, The Flash Coaster coming December 2017" or something along those lines.

I'm wondering if it would have much greater implications, could Lego decide to pull out all together? Could other properties decide to cancel their licensing agreements with the park (Dreamworks, ABC, Wiggles, Hotwheels etc)?

I doubt that the construction workers responsible for the footings would have any specifics on the coaster itself.

From the ACCC: Wildly exaggerated claims (puffery) ‘Puffery’ is a term used to describe wildly exaggerated or vague claims about a product or service that no one could possibly treat seriously. For example, a restaurant claims they have the ‘best steaks on earth’. These types of statements are not considered misleading.

It's good to hear it is being replaced so quickly.

In the case of the Jet Rescue Coaster the 'landscaping' is what contributes to the theme of the ride though, by enhancing the illusion of riding a jet-ski around a rocky shoreline, The ride also includes the tunnel with the seal figure inside and sound effects, this to me is good 'themeing' for a track portion of a coaster. The compressed gravel under the GL and SE would also be considered 'landscaping' but in no way contributes to the theme of the ride.

I think the Storm Coaster at Sea World is one of the best themed roller coasters in Australia (both the queue and the ride itself), the Jet Rescue has a decently themed track, however the queue and station lets it down.

Has anyone got a video they could share?

You can wear your prescription glasses in the superman queue and then hand them to a staff member once seated on the train.
