Not in my eyes.

I certainly don't think it is a 'bad' ride, Alex is right it has been very well done. But I agree with people who say it lacks something. I reckon it is a solid 7/10 ride and I guess we are always hoping for 10s.
-
Maybe that's confusing me, I rode it not long after opening. I've rode it again since and still always found it difficult to tell who shoots what, it's a pity the lasers aren't four different colours.
-
Maybe they do! Been a while!

I agree re the shooting part, half the time it is hard to tell if you are hitting anything or not. Some sort of vibration or speaker system would be good. Speaking of scores, has anyone else noticed there is a massive advantage in the back seat, because you can often turn around and re-shoot the past targets a second time? I find I score 50% more in the backseat than the front, as the actress said to the bishop.

Yep being a mexican, we have only ever visited to escape the Melbourne winters so haven't seen beyond about 25.

Is it Marine Carpet that is already around the wave pool? That seems to hold up ok, but is it any cooler?

By Pushbutton's path cover idea. And that stuff gets as hot as hell.
-
Be great if it softened the path as well. Some of the paved paths at WnW are really uncomfortable in bare feet.
-
Gazz mentioned earlier he spent about 5k. I think the more important point is how do you convince your Mrs to let you?

Agree 100%. The Batman ride was a cracker.

Probably two separate issues here, the signage etc and the experience.
-
No, absolutely but I can't think of another ride aiming a slightly older kids and above market that doesn't have a single thrill about it. The Flumes, Road Runner, Escape from Madegascar, WWF etc all have something. JL is a very different ride but perhaps the sentiments being expressed about the something missing is that we are conditioned to look for a thrill.
-
I've been thinking about this and trying to put my finger on what the missing link is. Could it be that JL suffers because it is pitched at an older audience but is zero thrills?
-
x2. I think it is a really well made ride and you want it be great but it just never seems to be more than just good. I suppose at the end of the day it is really just a fancy laser tag but I do like it for the point of difference it brings.

Thought this was going to be a thread about a Spanish Tower of Terror!
-
Remember just talking about if they were going to replace an existing slide. But I don't agree, I find them really ordinary. The walkway is uncomfortable in bare feet, the tower looks dated and old and the system of loading riders is painfully slow. The actual slides I find slow and uncomfortable to ride, quite painful on the back. Compared to the Tornado, I'd say the River Rapids look well and truly past their prime, more like something a council pool is beginning to have smaller versions of.
-
I would have thought if WNW were going to replace an existing slide it would be the 4 green slides (Not sure of name) first, as that is the most tired and uninspiring ride in the park in my opinion.

Off topic I know but speaking of the wave pool, I've always wondered why they have cycles? Why not just have waves all the time?

MW Mini Driving School - Officially Confirmed
BigKev replied to Brad2912's topic in Theme Park Discussion
I'm impressed with the presentation but still fearful the ride won't be strong. Fingers crossed I'm wrong.
