Eureka shouldn't be a thrill ride, but Motocoaster is classed as one so I'm pretty sure it would be classed as one should it re-open.

Dang I only saw all this now... If I had known to look over there today maybe I could've seen it. Sounds good, and they've still got a few weeks left so hopefully that'll be used to work on the queue or paint the track. But the big question that's I'm sure is on a lot of minds - does the train have OTSRs? In other news, I discovered the hell after doing too many flips on tailspin today. Was a quiet day, and there were quite a few walk-ons. Longest queue was for Supertubes in WWW because it broke down and they had to call in maint (was a free trip to the front of the line since most of the people infront of us decided they weren't gonna wait, but for me it was very interesting watching the maint guys do their stuff).

Oh this makes so much sense now... This actually seems like it really will become a 'world's best' thing. And that would explain why they haven't plainly stated 'roller-coaster' but instead said 'attraction'. I'm just hoping they don't make a great themed area, then put in a cheap one-trick-pony rollercoaster.

Wait let me get my head around this. You work at zombie evilution and the maintenance team as well as a lion that escaped from the lair named Alex told you that something happens very rarely? I'd like to meet this lion, he sounds like he knows a lot about what's happening with Eureka.

Sending them an e-mail yourself will probably get that message to them quicker.

Theming-wise I mean. At least the turbine originally had some sort of point to it didn't it?

I have heard power tools coming from the cyclone's building while walking through WWW last week. If they don't fix up the queue, I'm afraid to say the ride could be worse off than it already was...

The Brock cars are just an extra component to allow DW to retheme cyclone without making it even more out-of-place, at least that's how I see them :P. Over the past few days what I think DW really needs is a good airtime rollercoaster. Look at their currently coaster lineup - ToT is just a shuttle coaster and the only airtime is floater, cyclone is an old-school arrow coaster, so that's not really expected to have anything, Buzzsaw is full of positive G-Forces but no airtime, and MDMC is pretty much forceless... SE is packed with ejector airtime and that's what makes it so amazing, but DW doesn't have anything along the lines of this. I'd love to see something along the lines of skyrush at hersheypark, but that's probably a bit to ambitious like always. A woodie packed with airtime would also do well.

That's very true - Main Street and Ocean Parade look fantastic, now if they can extend that into Gold Rush (even further, they've already done a bit of work on it) that would be even better.

I think that if Eureka is going to reopen, they seriously need to do this refurbishment really well or I'm positive there will be many people really disappointed because they were expecting something great but didn't get it.

If only that was there last week when I nearly burnt my feet off...

Pretty much this, I guess it's been sitting there for so long now that it makes people miss it more than they would if they tore it down and made everyone forget.

Went back to Dreamworld today - my main goal was finishing off the rides I didn't get to last week. First up was wipeout, my first time since the revamp. The ride has definitely improved, not gonna say too much because I'm sure you all know about it. Then did Tail Spin again. This time I decided to not chicken out as the flips sped up. I also made sure that the harness was more comfortable this time, however it did start to hurt my shoulders as the flips got faster. Saw a nearly-empty queue for shockwave, so I did that for the first time. It's a good family ride, almost a mini-version of the claw. Few semi-decent moments of airtime. Can understand what people mean with the uncomfortable harness. Then did Pandamonium. The only other time I did this was when it first opened, and I only did soft-style, so today was my first go at hard-style. The G-Forces really surprised me on this. Then did ToT. Haven't been on this one for a year or so and I do have a few things to say about it. Firstly, I felt that it was going faster and higher than I remember it went, which was nice to see. I was a bit confused about why the queue ends at the top of the stairs and they don't use the switchbacks in the wedge room any more. I also felt that the wait-time signage had to undergo a big change. Firstly, they need a lot more of them, I could only see one, and this one sign was at the very end of the queue and it said there were 25 minutes left (obviously this must've included the wedge room, but if they're going to not bring people through that way then they need to fix the signs. For another positive note, the air-conditioning was nice... except for this one that was pumping out hot air . Oh yeah and the elevator at the end didn't start until another cycle had passed which was really annoying. I also did the giant drop, and then the claw. The staff on the claw were very nice today. There were a few delays where they had to re-open the harnesses and let Q4U people through, but one of the ride attendants talked to the people waiting while this happened, and I think doing this made all the difference, making the delay less boring.

The sound is affecting the people who can't tolerate bad grammar.

Oh that's interesting. Maybe we'll see that building be used for a new (better) attraction in the next few years? Like a dark ride! Or maybe it's just down for the time being and we'll see it back in the school holidays. I actually prefer the sidewinder name over hot lap, although the inner roller-coaster geek inside me is really screaming at this: There's only one sidewinder... Do they think the banked turns are sidewinders or something? And I'm sure the music will be a nice addition... let's hope they have it working 100% of the time. Another thing that really disappointed me is that by the looks of the logo they're not repainting the track. I think a change from the yellow and blue would be great, sadly it doesn't seem to be happening.
