  1. I'm going to be honest, I'm not really sure how much I like it, but it certainly will be an impressive entrance to the ride.
  2. The inclined dive loop is pulling 0.7gs according to that video 🤔🤔🤔
  3. That Gforce meter is BS.... not even reaching 0g
  4. Agreed, it's capacity would be no worse than some of their current rides (eg. Buzzsaw, Tail Spin), and seeing how quickly they seem to be selling over in the US, I wouldn't think they're too expensive either.
  5. Just switch B&M dive coaster with Gerstlauer dive coaster and you suddenly go from angering to pleasing the hoards.
  6. Superman Escape is widely considered one of Intamin's best hydraulic launch coasters in the world. I'm really lost as to how any part of the ride could be seen as "terrible". Even if DC Rivals is a lot worse than we thought it would be (it won't be, but for this case let's assume it is), it'll still be the best coaster in Australia, no doubt about that.
  7. As someone who's done a bit of modelling and then construction/testing of objects in the past (okay, model gliders aren't exactly the same as coasters but still) I can confirm that even the best modelling tools can be really inaccurate. There's a lot of factors that can play out in real life that are very hard to account for in models.
  8. After reading this article I'm definitely willing to stop judging the trims until I get a ride on it. This is Mack here we're talking about, not B&M who install trims to make sure all hills are perfect floater airtime. They'll make sure the airtime on the ride is as ejectorish as safely (and comfortably) as possible.
  9. Honestly this looks better than Flash. I haven't seen a proper POV of this of course, but Flash looks really sluggish. One or two massive airtime hills are great, but Flash has a bunch and most of them are trimmed, which brings it into B&M hyper territory. And I'd take a NI loop over a normal loop any day (unless it's a really intense loop, but Flash's isn't). I love my sensation of speed and low to the ground twists and turns, so I'm really looking forward to this ride because it's full of that. I would agree that Helix is probably still going to be a better ride than this, but to me this could very well be Mack's second best coaster.
  10. Yeah you're right, having another look at it. Strange, I thought the trims would be needed on the airtime hill or loop, not the Stengel dive.
  11. Full announcement video: Looks like Jim Meme Anderson is back, and cringier than ever before. My thoughts: SFGAD/SFOT - Looks like a pretty decent flat ride. Been waiting for one of these to pop up for a while. The cyborg theme for SFGAD is pretty cool but I've certainly had enough of the Harley Quinn theme. SFNE/SFFM - These frisbees look pretty fun and I don't really mind that they're installing a bunch of them since they will be good rides. I think this year's installations are enough though. The names aren't great though, I'm sick of the Harley Quinn theme and what even is Crazanity???? Magic Mountain definitely needed a decent flat like this though, and the new area looks pretty cool. Great Escape - Were we really expecting anything more? La Ronde - This part is zoomed over so quickly I'm not entirely sure what it is - a flat ride package? Looks okay. SFA - LOL SFA really has no luck hahaha SFGA - Noooooo I thought we had seen the end of these :'( St Luis - Looks pretty decent for a waterslide actually SFOG - Best of the lot. Doesn't look too long but it's guaranteed to be a good ride since it's made by RMC. SFFT - Yeah we knew this was coming. Great ride. Awful capacity. Mexico - I'm really trying to ignore the awful colour scheme, because it's great this is not just another Joker. SFDK - We knew one of these was coming, and it looks like a nice alternative to a super loop. But the fact that they already have a super loop makes me think if this would've been better off at a park that didn't have one (more specifically, give this to SFGA instead of their super loop).
  12. Not sure exactly, @Slick posted a photo on FB but it looks like the airtime hill? I'll post it here with his permission (or he can just do it).
  13. About time RMC started using non-red/brown/orange track on more coasters.
  14. Sad day for DC rivals :'( The trims have arrived Sad reacts only
  15. Since when did Six Flags take ownership of Adventure World? That said, I do love the theming, even if I'm not the biggest fan of the name.
  16. I bet MW could make a lot of money making this ride a Fast Track addition, like X2
  17. As in ones that have been popping up over Facebook. There's one in the comments section of one of PCL's posts that has the train moving pretty fast.
  18. If they're testing it so soon, perhaps that means they're trying to push forward the opening? (to perhaps the September school holidays?)
  19. Another video, courtesy of MW (explains the drone too ). I like how the HWSD explosion goes off in the last shot Super-jealous of the guys who were riding. Looking at some of the videos taken this afternoon, the coaster looks like it's going a lot faster already. It zooms through the NI loop, that thing's going to be crazy and it's only going to get faster from here on in (unless they need to trim it).
  20. The water dummies would most likely already provide that weight.
  21. Wow! Speechless at the moment. I agree with @jack.c, it does look a little sluggish at the moment, especially around the Stengel dive. I'm sure it'll be moving a lot faster pretty soon once the trains and track have been worn in a bit.
  22. Well obviously, this year's new Fright Nights maze will allow you to drive through the maze instead of walk.
  23. Whoever's hanging a rake from their wall and calling it their "finest artwork" needs to take some art classes.
