  1. I can’t wait to see the finished product. After this land being untouched for 1.5 years, and a time where the park is lacking rides, this will really add something to the park. I am surprised nothing has been announced on social media and the website (in the form of drawing/render). We’ve really only had the FB video. I suppose the focus has really been on DC Rivals though. Castaway Bay is one of my favourite areas of the park, such a well done area, and to continue this on is great to see
  2. That bridge has been there for a very long time They quite often operate Shockwave with only 1 person Yes that closure of the path is annoying, but it’s for reason. They can’t just reopen it when TRR is still there and would mean even more high walls needing construction. BuzzSaw is under maintenance 16/10/2017 - 30/11/2017 (which seems like quite a long time compared to normal), so maybe while they are removing Eureka, they will begin the demolition of TRR.
  3. Sort of seems like the system they have at Volcano Bay, which looks awesome. Can’t wait to see what VRTP do with the system and improves the park experience
  4. Definitely think this could be a volcano (Photo: TPSN)
  5. I had a walk through the queue on the early entry on Sunday, and they do a good job of protecting you from the sun. There was still one more to be installed at the time. But I definitely think there will be a need for fans (maybe even the mist ones), as it will be very hot
  6. Polar Bear preschool will be closed on Wednesday and Thursday as they will be removing the grass and soil and making that area back into the larger pool and rock area
  7. Today’s update: And I don’t ever remember seeing this element within the Sky Fortress in Castaway Bay, but thought it was pretty cool and shows how good the theming of the area is
  8. When I went on JL yesterday, it was running near perfectly, with effects working that I hadn’t seen before, as well as some being prepared. The boom gate has returned, and there was lighting, smoke and sound effects I hadnt seen before. It was really one of the best runs on the ride I’ve ever had
  9. The framework Im fairly sure has been there since last years maintenance period. The monster that you could see was never removed. And too my knowledge, they haven’t repainted the cars, last time I went on it a couple weeks ago, they looked the same as they have for a while
  10. Shade sails are all completely installed, and looking really good. They cover the queue area pretty well, and don’t hide the theming. Well done to MW
  11. At the two Universal parks I’ve been to, they offer lockers and the entrance to most rides, for free for a certain period of time. And this time depended on queue length times. So a 40 minute queue would give you 50 minutes free locker time, and after that you paid. Was a great system.
  12. Does anyone know what the full capacity figure for the park is?
  13. I like how for Wipeout they changed the original closing date to October 1 so that it seems like it hasn't been closed most of the year I really hope they get it open in time for the Summer holidays, along with all the other rides. They haven't had every ride in operation at once since the park closed last year. It would be great to see.
  14. All other states are on holidays until October 8 or 15, and because todays forecast is much nicer than the last couple of days, people are taking advantage of that.
  15. Maintenance has changed for the ride: Closed for scheduled maintenance on Monday 13th November and will re-open on Saturday 9th December 2017. So it has been pushed back a week, and reopening date has been brought forward. Have been told that some theming has already appeared too
  16. Been told that queues for mazes currently aren’t too bad, because most people are at DC Rivals
  17. Generally the first night sells out, but this year it hasn’t. Probably because of the reasons listed above, but I’m sure it will still be good
  18. @Reanimated35 I don't remember that maze. Which one was it? I do remember them having a temporary tent set up for a maze though.
  19. This near map image from September 16 shows no new sheds have gone up, unless they've decided to build a temporary one and it managed to go up very quickly
  20. So it looks like one of the buildings will be split to fit two mazes, and Zombie Termination is behind them, or maybe that is inside of the buildings too. Surprised that both precincts are located in that area of the park this year, instead of having one at the front of Main Street. Hopefully they still fill that area with scare actors. It just shows how inefficient this new map style is, because it is hard to work out where some things exactly are.
  21. If that was the case, they wouldn’t have let the ride run, so that is untrue
