  1. WWF was scheduled to reopen August 28, but has been pushed back to 18th September
  2. MW have posted about the auditions on FB
  3. Thanks for the photos. Manage to get any of the station?
  4. The thing with blue lagoon is its out the way, and doesn't affect the Park. The river rapids are amongst other rides and effects the flow through a part of the park
  5. Thanks @Richard. Looking at the plans again, I realise now
  6. The BuzzSaw is scheduled for maintence between October 16 to November 27. Six weeks seems like quite a long time for this ride to closed for. Could this maybe be related to the removal of the river rapids?
  7. That ramp on the left, is that for the entrance or exit? GL has also got scheduled maintenance from Tuesday to Saturday (and this has only appeared on the website today), so maybe the joker head will be installed next week. Or this really is just general maintence
  8. And since when have they announced all the mazes at once and nothing else about the event
  9. And if we have the height, and length of the track leading to the tower, I'm sure someone knows how to calculate the speed the train goes.
  10. And then until November 1, because they may do the final party this year (which was cancelled last year) on Halloween.
  11. I agree @Gazza. Based off DWs statistics, yes the TOT is higher and faster, but in reality, is it? As said, it only really goes half way up the tower now (so probably around 50-60 metres and surely, that means the speed is much lower because it doesn't go as high?
  12. Job applications have now opened for now opened Makeup Assistant/Artist, Makeup Supervisor and Maze Presenters & Performers at this years Fright Nights. Applications available here: https://goo.gl/qYP6em It shouldn't be too much longer now before our first announcement for the event is made.
  13. @Tim Dasco I don't think that would have anything to do with it. I'd just say there might have been a delay in the manufacturing process of it. Or they want to use it as the monumental moment of the finishing of the coaster.
  14. Large crane isn't in use currently, still no signs of the Joker head and last support is yet to be installed. Two smaller cranes have arrived and have begun dismantling the two shelters, as well as removing some of the rubbish across the site.
  15. The power lines that caused the incident can be seen to the left
  16. From the PJ Foundation on FB: PYJAMA PARTY AT SEA WORLD CANCELLED It is with a heavy heart that The Pyjama Foundation has had to cancel the Pyjama Party at Sea World Event due to low ticket sales. The event was to be held on Friday 18 August at Sea World. We are truly sorry. On behalf of everyone at The Pyjama Foundation and Sea World, we would like to sincerely apologise for the cancellation, especially to those of you who have already bought tickets and made travel and accommodation plans. We appreciate the support and efforts from everyone involved. We will be reaching out to anyone who has purchased or won tickets over the coming days. Please be patient as we undertake this process. Thank you for your understanding and support. This won’t be the end of our Pyjama Parties, we intend to make 2018’s event more spectacular – so we hope you can join us next year. Kindest regards, Team Pyjamas & Sea World
  17. I doubt they'd close for the day. Yes it happened, but I imagine they would rather move on and focus on the future. Doesn't mean they will rule out a memorial for the victims at the park (If the families wish to have one). There will likely a press release, but as stated, they will push about the safety of the rides and the new experiences they have
  18. Here is a reason for why a new billboard hasn't been put up yet: TWO Dreamworld subcontractors have suffered electrical burns after their crane collided with power lines near the theme park’s main car park. Just after 3pm today three men working in a crane on a Dreamworld billboard on the M1 highway came into contact with power lines. Two of the three men, aged in their 30s, received electric shocks and burns in the workplace incident. They were transported to Gold Coast University Hospital in a stable condition. A Dreamworld spokewoman said they had been advised of the incident by the company. “We are relieved to hear, the workers are not seriously injured and are under observation at hospital,” she said. http://www.goldcoastbulletin.com.au/news/gold-coast/two-workers-suffered-electrical-burns-at-dreamworld/news-story/c64478ae5c884885a74481e3aa927ad1
  19. So is this legit an old campaign where they had a jumbled up billboard?
  20. @Brad2912 Definitely serious. I live near the park, and pass it nearly every day and I have never seen this before. And also have passed the park when they've been changing over the billboard imagery multiple times, and never seen this then, I've only seen the blank board. This is completely new to me.
  21. Crane just been lifting up some additional parts (Couldn't tell what they were) to the top of the lift hill. Still no sign of the Joker head, but it could be hidden under the shelters. GL is reopening on Saturday, so its going to be installed over the next couple of days. Plenty of trucks are beginning to remove some of the waste in the carpark, and soil and gravel is being moved and placed around the NIL area.
  22. A new billboard has appeared out the front of DW and is a throw back to one of their original logos/billboards, but jumbled up. Don't fully get the idea of it, but something different You can also see they left the reference to the river rapids in, but I suppose the images could be just doing a throwback for the park. Thoughts?
  23. They definitely do. I've been to both Umiversal Studios Japan and Singapore, and both were situated in areas which provide plenty of other activities. Singapore does this even more so as it is set on Sentosa Island, and along with Universal Studios, there is a water park, golf course, aquarium, tonnes of shopping and restaurant areas, a hotel, and tonnes more. The one in Japan is set within a shopping area, which tonnes of cool quirky places, and massive crowds form in the area, as it's in the lead up between the train and the park. We won't be able to do this type of scale of thing here, but VRTP are heading in the right direction. We've already got a major theme park, a water park, farm/zoo and an evening show. And soon Top Golf. It may not appeal to everyone, and im not a massive fan of golf, but I'll definitely be doing this. And I'm sure tonnes more people will too. And the connection bridge from MW to this area will entice people who are leaving the park to head over to TG or AOS
  24. Wow, really like the colour scheme of that, and great to see they are repraintinf the Wave too. As the gondola has gone too, maybe they are giving that a fresh coat of paint as well.
