  1. Dreamworld has released more videos about ride safety and why rides stop, as well as the safety process and animal safety.
  2. Another piece or two of track have been installed this morning (passing over the height of the trees) leading to the first airtime hill.
  3. But the park could really do something special with that lake, a part from just having a jet ski show twice a day. They now have the island that just sits there with bare concrete showing, with a few hoses spraying in front of it. I don't think the jet ski show is bad and does still bring in the crowds, but it isn't quite at the level of the original Waterski Wipeout. The thing with those fountain/light shows is they are done at night, and the park isn't open late enough to do that sort of thing. Unless they did at Carnivale, which as some of mentioned last year, is missing a main show/parade. Using the lake would be the perfect opportunity for something awesome like that and could easily fit the Carnivale theme.
  4. The station may be more to the left of the image, as if I remember correctly there was a section of track leading up to the lift hill inside the building (based off the plans posted on here). But it does seem that as soon as you leave the building, you will be going straight into the lift hill.
  5. To put when @Ryande16 said in a nicer way. The engineers may have had to do tests to ensure the structural integrity of the support was not ruined if they were to cut out part of it (As they've done), otherwise they may have had to manufacture a new support in which goes around it.
  6. A view of SW from the Broadwater, and you can see that the whole water slide tower has now completely gone
  7. More tracks and supports have arrived, with more wooden boxes inside the containers. The final support for the Stengel dive has been installed now As @Jdude95 has said, peices of track for the first drop have been installed And station work continues
  8. @AlexB It changed at the beginning of June
  9. @djrappa Are you referring to this one? @Original The lift hill supports in that photo went up between mid and the end of May
  10. Great update, and it has been a long time since I visited park and it is great to see all the new rides coming to the park. But I must say, I do miss that Aussie charm to it, especially to the pub out the front. Does anyone know if all those stores to the left of the pub are still there or have they changed too? Don't get me wrong, I think the refresh and updates to the park have brought life back to it, but don't know, just doesn't look right.
  11. The lift hill hasn't reached its highest point yet. What we see now is just the structure for the first drop. But there's many more supports to go in place. And that will take the ride to the 61.6 metre height
  12. @ThemeTendo Just so you know, that wiring for the fence toppers has been there for months now. Been there before the track begun to be installed.
  13. And with the completion of the loop, you can now see the coaster from the Helensvale South and Oxenford exits
  14. SDSC first lot of maintenance has been removed and is now just the November and December period
  15. @Glubbo I don't think there will be a path there. I imagine the path will be outside the park, and will provide access to TG, AOS, WnW for the public
  16. This afternoons update. Seems this weeks progress has mainly been the delivery of parts and construction of the station. Plenty of really large supports have arrived for the lift hill, as well as a few pieces of track. Supports for the final turn back to the station are in place Station is coming along nicely And few more parts around

  18. Sounds good. If I remember correctly, DW said they are hoping to have it open by December this year, but wasn't a confirmed time frame.
  19. @AlexB The caption is wrong, because two images down the caption is: "The skyline at Movie World is rapidly changing – and there's still a lot more height to come!"
  20. I agree @AlexB. In regards to the bridge being partly demolished, I feel like that made that part of the park look much nicer than having that much brick showing. I think keeping the rest of the bridge as is would be a smart move as it will eventually allow easy access from Nickelodeon Land to that site. If the castle is removed, it will be said for it to go as it pretty much has been at the park since the beginning, but now really doesn't have much purpose at all, a part from being in the way, and taking up land that can be used for another attraction.
  21. I think that what ever goes to the water park site should become linked to the theme of Castaway Bay, to bring that whole area together. And it isn't an overly difficult theme to work with, so I'm sure they could do something. I think for the VR site, they should knock down the castle, as the 3D movie isn't overly popular, and start with a completely clean area to do whatever they want. And then that leaves the massive area from SV and the reclaimed land.
  22. Another point for point a number of new flat rides in the old water park site, then might ring more people to back of the park, and utilise Castaway Bay more because when ever I've gone to the park, and this is in peek periods too, the park will be very busy, but Castaway Bay isn't. A part from the Dolphin Show, there isn't much reason to go that far back, so to add multiple rides in that large space would be great.
  23. More shipping containers have arrived (Photo TPSN)
  24. I agree, all coasters I've seen that have that sort of theming throughout the track always look tacky and pointless. On indoor coasters I think theming throughout the coaster section is fine because it can really add to the experience if done right. So unless the theming is a part of the queue, and the coaster track just goes over it, don't bother.
  25. The only bit of theming we are aware of. We have no idea what is up MW's sleeve, they may have tonnes of theming in the queue area and in the small section of track before the lift hill. There is going to be a bit of land between the gates at the end of the pathway from JL to the actual station, and from the video we can see their are walls throughout the queue. In regards to the Joker head, it looks really really cool, and will look awesome at night if it does light up (which I highly expect it too), and if the mouth does move (as someone had mentioned), that will make it even cooler.
