  1. Yeah there were plans for a new entrance to open at the Blue Lagoon area. I do hope that if they do sell land off, that they don't sell land that's right up against the current park boundary, as it is nice to go around the edge of the park and just see bushland. It would ruin the feel if you could see infrastructure. And of course I definitely wouldn't want to see the park close down, it means way to much to a lot of people. And I imagine that even those people who have said they wouldn't visit the park again, or not for a long time after what's happened, would even be sad to see it go.
  2. For me, SDSC is different every time in regards to smoothness, brake toughness and speed. Sometimes all the brakes are real tough and jarring all the way through. While other times, those last couple of drops are real quick and when you hit the brakes, damn it hurts. And then other times, it can be perfect all the way through and a real comfortable ride.
  3. Movie World will read through these last few posts and just laugh. This 'trying to figure out the theme' has reached a whole new level
  4. They quickly finished their works on the whole of the building, as a week ago the whole front was covered. Then I know at the end of the week it was just the right side, and now the left. Good to see though. I imagine that area at the front of the street is just removing the stage as the Gatsby show is finished
  5. @MaxxTheMonster that's good to hear. I forgot to post this photo last night, showing this area and that there was a crane on site, so assumed they would be installed soon
  6. Here are some of those supports I was on about. Supports for the air time hill, crazy section, the non-inverting loop (including the massive one outside he fence) and also the first lift hill footing. More track installed Plenty of supports around the area Appears to be some supports near lift hill area You can also see the support for the top Stengel dive too And just an overview of the whole area
  7. More supports being installed
  8. It usually is like that because it's closed for the winter
  9. @ThemeTendo as the piece as 13 on it, it's safe to say these will be for the lift hill. Most of the supports for the loop have been moved onto the road or into the coaster area
  10. Wow great news, and definitely seems like that would be the time to do to it all. I'd be quite happy if we seen the same theming return, maybe with updated animatronics, however I would be more than happy with improved theming throughout, to provide a different experience of sorts
  11. Just out of curiosity, and based off similar coasters around the world, when this scale of coaster goes into maintence, generally would it be for a lot longer period of time, because it's such a large coaster, or it generally isn't much different to any of coasters. I know there are a number of things which would impact on how long it goes into maintenance, but was just curious.
  12. As we assumed, no work today due to the rain. Coulle of large supports have been installed Plenty of supports ready to be put in place A large support have been tied down until track is installed And there aren't many pieces of track left, so I imagine that quite a few will arrive next week, especially when GL goes down for maintenance in just over a week, so lift hill construction should start soon after
  13. DW have also published there own video about the ride safety:
  14. In the most recent email from DW, they have stated: A WHOLE NEW WORLD OF EXPERIENCES COMING SOON The next few weeks will bring some exciting times at Dreamworld with the launch of the Sumatran Tiger Experience, Parkway Patisserie and Grill, double storey luxury cabanas and water heating at WhiteWater World. Stay tuned for more details.
  15. Well as mentioned earlier, they did one for GL and Storm, so there is a chance. But won't be released until near the opening date
  16. This photo is from yesterday (just to show where I'm on about), but just driven past and it appears that some pieces before the Stengel dive have been installed, and are starting to go up (direction wise). This I saw it right, this could be the start of the loops installation
  17. Maybe they put both of them up as a tester, waited for our responses too. And then have made a decision. If we don't see the VRTP logo again, then maybe.
  18. @Reanimated35 can confirm the screen isn't working today. Wasn't on this morning when I visited
  19. When at MW I saw the Batwing launch, exactly after the countdown finished, not the usual few seconds after the count down. Been a long time since I've seen that happen
  20. Stickers have been added to the control posts to show what band is needed to be purchased for use. And Fast Video has been added, and is avaible from all seats
  21. Department store refurb is now complete. And the batman store refurb has begun
  22. As mentioned, te VRTP logo has gone, but the MW still remains. Here's a closer image
  23. More supports installed, along with more track creating this banking turn. A couple of supports have been installed on parts of the coaster which has been installed yet, despite the track in place. Also noticed that even the highest point so far for the coaster is missing a support.
