  1. This area is under neath where the lift hill is and based off my theory of it being constructed once GL is closed, then construction of it won't start until the end of May, and would be finished by the end of June. So if that was the case, during this time, I imagine safety laws wouldn't let a crowd of people who haven't done a site safety lecture, wont be allowed under a lift hill during construction. So based off that and Skeets theory, there will be an announcement between now and May 26.
  2. @Skeeta that is a very good Skeet theory, and definitely make sense.
  3. I imagine the light will shine from underneath, as that is where we saw pipes coming out of the concrete, and a workmen was working on them a couple of weeks back when I was there.
  4. 35 days for $35 is back. Sale ends this Monday, 1 May and gives unlimited entry to Dreamworld until 5 June 2017. Tickets available here: http://bit.ly/DW35for35
  5. @Reanimated35 that sounds about right. And that's why it was originally named to Wild Wild West, until the licensing issues. But as mentioned, I do believe there are a number of hints to varying western films.
  6. The old western town area wasn't used, and the only time it was, was during FN for the maze queue. Yes the villains area is seperate from the rest of the DC area? But I thinking out it with all the other major attractions would've have helped spread the crowd out. In this location it makes use of what was a wasted space, and allows crowds to spread out more.
  7. What's broken: - The train whistle and explosion happens after you've seen the train track already damage - The town population doesn't drop - The guy going up the lift hill repeats him self about ten times while you are going up, and the audio jumps quite a bit - Timing the effects in the town are out The ride is closed for two months (26th June and will re-open 28th August 2017) for maintenance, so hopefully they fix all these issues then.
  8. No, but I doubt they would install these two and decide whether they like them or not. They spend a long time deciding on these things, before getting them manufactured. Happy to be wrong, just my thoughts. I do like them though, especially the MW one.
  9. That is a good idea, and would be a way to show off all the park has to offer. But don't think they will and will just stick with the two I would say they haven't installed anymore because of the track being installed, and how close some of the supports/track gets to the fence. They wouldn't want to risk knocking them off or damaging them. The spot they've installed these two isn't that close, and isn't overly visible unless you are looking for them.
  10. An update on the department store at MW, not far off completion
  11. More part arrived And another crane has just entered the coasters site Also, some track has been moved into the brake run/station area
  12. @Reanimated35 thats the media for you But at least it's good to see them writing about it, and getting some of the facts right.
  13. @pushbutton so is that what you meant from this posts. Did you hear workmen discuss this? Or speculation?
  14. Every time I've visited DW, and gone to the tiger presentations, the seating is completely full. And I've been about 6 times to these presentations during peak and off peak periods.
  15. ^Especially since they've said numbers and pass sales have dropped since DWs incident. You would think they'd want to push hard with promoting this coaster, to give people a reason to get there passes to go back.
  16. I agree with @pushbutton, and surprised you found DWs buffet better. I've done both of them, and definitely think MWs is way better, in the quality of food and layout. Also, with Tiger Island, stage 2 doesn't include additional seating, it's just adding the new exhibit space to the left, and the new photo area. The stadium definitely does fill up, but the can't really add more now. They do have all the tables and chairs at the top, but you can't see from them. For MW, you can go to Guest services and ask for the character appearances on the day, and the same with SW. Just a tip for future, so the kids don't miss out.
  17. @pushbutton and yet they have a villains area, which has the slogan, it's good to be bad. I doubt SS will be the theme, just doesn't make sense now. WW makes sense if you are thinking that because the track is (what ever colour we want to call it) and that's a feminine colour, and because of that it makes it themed to WW. Doesn't make sense. Flash, well no, flash is red, not this colour. But I suppose with no hints (except the track colour, which has turned out to not really help at all), there are too many option to narrow it down. They just need to starting hinting, something, anything. People on social media, not just enthusiasts, are asking the question too. But they need to make an announcement to get way more people talking about it. Everyone can see the coaster is being built, but people ask a question, MW give a vary vague answer and that's it. People are excited about this, but when they don't know when it's opening (and by this I mean, not just people who saw the sign, but people who live else where or don't visit the park often), what height or speeds it will reach, what's going to make it the greatest attraction in the Southern Hemisphere. We need answers MW. You are digging yourselves a hole, and you won't be able to get out of it if you don't act soon. It might be too late, as a lot of people may have planned holidays already.
  18. I have pointed out in the past that it isn't possible for the monorails to have aircon without a redesign of the SharkBay station/maintenance bay. There is literally only a couple of centimetres between the roof of the monorail and a beam in the maintenance bay. So unless that station was redesigned, track lowered, etc then they couldn't install aircon.
  19. They first announced it at the end of February, and then had the billboard up in the park. And then a few months later released more details. And then had the advertisements around August (if I remember correctly), and then the banner around the construction fencing about 3 weeks before opening, and then it opened end of September. This coaster we had an opening date in December, a few statements here and there about the coaster coming. And that's it. And we are less than 5 months from opening
  20. I really hope that when they do finally announce something they just go all out and we see and hear about it everywhere, and everyone starts talking about it, because right now, the majority of people are only hearing about it either through here, or through FB pages (and some haven't been reliable with the information they've been publishing). And if they don't go all out, I will be a bit disappointed. Even if the ride is absolutely amazing, it will be sad to think of what MW could and probably should've have done. That said, they haven't announced anything yet so I'm not going to judge until they do. The only acknowledgment so far by MW is this on FB: At present we haven't been released information about the new attraction. Keep an eye out on our Facebook page for updates about our exciting new ride. What did make me laugh is this posted on FB to MW: I think someone is illegally building a big pink thing out side your theme park. Just wanted to let you know. Plenty of people are posting to MW and asking to them, so there is plenty of interest, just still no announcement. They do know what they are doing, they have experts in the field and may have some grand plan for the marketing, I just wish they'd do something, even if it is just putting those signs back up, maybe on the construction fencing in the carpark.
  21. Another character to add to the list of themes for the coaster. One I definitely didn't think of. I'm fairly sure he does feature in the queue area of GL, and could be possible.
  22. Looks awesome. And it does look to be about 25-30 metres tall, which in perspective, GL and AA are both around 33 metres tall. Crazy to think that this one part of the coaster, which is around half way through the course will almost reach the same height of the lift hills of two of the coaster already at the park
