  1. @joz I'm fairly sure the 'tried-to-be-coaster-but-doesn't-deserved-to-be-called-one' coaster is the MDMC.
  2. I wonder if they are going to leave some of the gaps between the brick work, as seen in TPGs photo. But add some cool effect so it looks like the building is falling a part or has been attacked by the villains.
  3. Wow, looking goooood. Really happy to say that they are making the area immersive and not just leaving it open. I think installing those brick walls I definitely a smart choice. And welcome back @Theme Park Girl, thanks for updates.
  4. Thanks Clayton. Good to see the roof starting to take shape. I don't know why, but I find that photo of the big frozen coke laying on the ground a bit funny.
  5. Kenny and Belinda are visiting China. In seriousness, it might just be a marketing campaign.
  6. Well, the ride didn't open until 1998, but the only performers I've known in the area was the western show that used to be in the start of this air before it was built. And then there was small show, halfway into the area, but that's all I've known about. I can't imagine the ride ever having performers.
  7. The only thing new advertising it on Friday was a poster on one of the ticket booths saying about the app. I'm interested to here this now, if anyone is at the park in the near future, would they be able to be brave enough to record the sound and post it on here please.
  8. When I was there on Friday I didn't notice any videos, where are they?
  9. I've only seen a couple of ads for the app around the park, but I think it will become really useful once it's available at all 3 parks and more food stores are available. If this service does become popular, they could maybe even take it to the next level and use it in their retail stores, where you can select an item you want through the app, pay for it, and then when in the park you can go to the counter and collect your item.
  10. No, as the fence is so far back, you can't get a good view of the ride, but I'd imagine it would've been drained for maintenance.
  11. As someone who is familiar with this area of design/projects, that design for the carpark in that space is relatively good, with good amounts of vegetation, and hopefully the sound pollution isn't too bad for residents. I do agree that there are a couple of points which seem like they could be vegetation, or open, to provide easier movement. And Kopps Rd would need some modifications/upgraded to deal with the large volume of traffic that could be passing in and out of the car park. After seeing this now, it has changed my opinion on the idea.
  12. I think the thought that @reanimated35 had about the broken billboard in half sounds likely. Maybe it will have the rides name on it, and a large Doomsday figure smashing between it.
  13. I don't think it's obvious. Why would they get ride of carpark spaces. And for a ride to be in the carpark, how would you get to it. Yes if part of a coasters track went over the carpark, then it's possible, but I doubt it. They wouldn't want to remove spaces, especially since it can be overflowing in peak times.
  14. Why can they just extend the current carpark out. I don't think adding one on the other side of the road is a good idea, and as said, unless they construct a bridge, it isn't the safest option, and is a reasonable distance from the entry gate. I suppose as the park grows and more popular, they will need more parking (which they already do need during Summer), but I don't feel like that space is appropriate.
  15. ^I saw a couple of ducks near the water, but that's about it.
  16. I didn't notice anything when I visited this morning.
  17. Nothing exciting happening in the western area, with no sign of the crane either.
  18. Just popped into MW quickly, quite a few works on site, moving materials around. A few guys were behind some of the facades doing work, work happening is ice the shop as well as the exterior. The spear is no where to be seen.
  19. And they did say on the news report that it would be located between the enterance of MW and AOS
  20. Don't worry, it bothers me to.
  21. The point of flying over people is a very good point. Despite no loose items allowed on AA, because it doesn't go over people at all, they aren't as strict. At Unviersal Studios Japan, there new coaster, Flying Dinosaur was extremely strict with checking loose items. While lining up they gave a piece of paper telling you about loose items needing to be removed, then they asked you to take your items out of your pockets, and they scanned you using a metal detector, then you would store them in boxes just before you got on the ride.
  22. That's true, but imagine how much slower the loading process would be.
  23. I regards to the language, what u lived about Universal Studios and the rides and staff is that despite the language barrier, the ride experience is so great it didn't matter you couldn't understand, because you knew what was happening. An example is when I went on Jaws, the staff were so energetic, you got a sense of what was being said. And the staff spoke to necessary/basic English. 24. I can't imagine they will bring that gate back, if they wanted people to move through the plaza, they put a building there, or a wall, or garden beds. I doubt they'd remove a gate, just to add it back again. From what I've seen when at the park, there is no sign of the fence or gates in that area.
