  1. Crane just been lifting up some additional parts (Couldn't tell what they were) to the top of the lift hill. Still no sign of the Joker head, but it could be hidden under the shelters. GL is reopening on Saturday, so its going to be installed over the next couple of days. Plenty of trucks are beginning to remove some of the waste in the carpark, and soil and gravel is being moved and placed around the NIL area.
  2. A new billboard has appeared out the front of DW and is a throw back to one of their original logos/billboards, but jumbled up. Don't fully get the idea of it, but something different You can also see they left the reference to the river rapids in, but I suppose the images could be just doing a throwback for the park. Thoughts?
  3. They definitely do. I've been to both Umiversal Studios Japan and Singapore, and both were situated in areas which provide plenty of other activities. Singapore does this even more so as it is set on Sentosa Island, and along with Universal Studios, there is a water park, golf course, aquarium, tonnes of shopping and restaurant areas, a hotel, and tonnes more. The one in Japan is set within a shopping area, which tonnes of cool quirky places, and massive crowds form in the area, as it's in the lead up between the train and the park. We won't be able to do this type of scale of thing here, but VRTP are heading in the right direction. We've already got a major theme park, a water park, farm/zoo and an evening show. And soon Top Golf. It may not appeal to everyone, and im not a massive fan of golf, but I'll definitely be doing this. And I'm sure tonnes more people will too. And the connection bridge from MW to this area will entice people who are leaving the park to head over to TG or AOS
  4. Wow, really like the colour scheme of that, and great to see they are repraintinf the Wave too. As the gondola has gone too, maybe they are giving that a fresh coat of paint as well.
  5. Don't know why, but love this photo and the angle, looking up to the top.
  6. Good to see that Conjuring is going back to that location, as it was really good in there last year, especially with the build up it had.
  7. I'd say it would be around 200 too, but that's just as guess. Based off BuzzSaw as its minimum is 130
  8. I've heard it will be 130cm
  9. It will be 24 people per train
  10. The first supports have also been installed and the rest are on the ground ready to be installed tomorrow. No sign of the Joker head, but it is expected to be open tomorrow. The lift hill motor is under the shelter, and should be installed tomorrow or Monday depending on progress. The exterior of the station is also nearly complete, and more theming going up.
  11. The rakes go all the way around to the left, and have stopped at the MW sign
  12. Village Roadshow Movie World doesn't sound right, and there are a number of rides and characters linked to the WB brand as well.
  13. Up she goes Greg and a number of other team members are set up to the right of the MW entrance too
  14. Back in my school days, a group of students studying physics got to go to DW and where a specialised jacket, which recorded speeds and forces, while they went on the rides. And they used that data for analysis and study.
  15. And the Joker is much more iconic and terrifying. A big skull may be iconic for those who read the comics, but for the majority of the GP, they won't have any idea.
  16. Yeah okay, I see your point.
  17. I agree @Brad2912, and what would make it even better, is there was a theming element of sorts as you begin to move from the loading platform, just before the lift hill, whether it is through screens, animatronics, sound effects, etc. That would really add to it. The ride is all about the experience the track will provide, but anything else they add, will really add to the whole experience.
  18. The post doesn't state 'Will you be visiting them today' or 'Is open today'. It is just sharing a photo and stating some information. Don't see the issue with it.
  19. Never heard of Brainic before, so had to google him. He is a part of the Superman Universe
  20. I think if they were alternating between MW and VR then that would've been fine, but for me its just too much of the VR logo out the front. Maybe after the MW entrance sign they will be all MW, or will alternate. Or maybe it comes down to the cost. The MW seem like it would cost a lot more, so they just got more VR instead.
  21. Oh trust me, I wont be a pussy bitch, and I'll be riding this more than once. Here's my update. Large crane isn't in use at the moment, while preparations on the final pieces are made, particularly with the very top piece. And more theming has been installed since yesterday
  22. I'm surprised to see there are only rakes out the front. Where there any sings of the MW logo anywhere else @Skeeta?
  23. Next piece of track for the drop is being installed (Photo: TPSN)
  24. The part I was more referring to is that they are saying they will be wonderful, which makes me think they will be an improvement on what they had. And my soon, they probably mean the maintnece period in November/December.
