  1. @joz could it be said that, they have taken the Flash coaster and have improved on it, and made it work for the site? Superman is an awesome coaster, and was really does nail it is the pre-launch story. And obviously it's launch is awesome. But I hope this new coaster is just as good, even if it doesn't have a pre-show. I think it's safe to say it will be awesome, and unlike anything the majority of us have ridden before.
  2. Amazing how quick it can change. @Theme Park Girl Posted this on April 20 and it looks perfect
  3. Here's a few pictures I took this afternoon Will also add that while I was taking these pictures, I witnessed a lady during the wrong way out of MW, and into on coming traffic. Thankfully no accident happened, and as she passed under the MW sign she turned around and went back the other way. Idiot. And there is even a massive sign saying not to go out that way
  4. Rides will also remain open until 8:30pm
  5. Don't know how long it's been like this, but WWW has had its hours reduced to 11-4. It always used to be 10-4, but has been reduced even further.
  6. No it isn't, it's a Maccas advert
  7. I was looking at the map online and it wasn't on there. Is it in park? On DWs website in the food and beverage section it is now show, but as opening soon. THE PARKWAY PATISSERIE & GRILL OPENING SOON - Enjoy breakfast from 9am and all-day dining at the new Parkway Patisserie & Grill.
  8. Very much doubt this is true, and wouldn't expect an announcement to be made like this. They probably will just reopen it, and not make a major fuss about it, incase its some backlash (which I really hope it wouldn't), because of the incident. I think right now they are focusing on more important aspects of the park, like finishing the construction and continuing to getting people back in the park. I think once the Parkway and Tiger Island stage 2 is complete, then they will focus on the other elements, such as removal of TRR, reopening of the log ride (And they have confirmed it will be reopening, so we don't have to worry about it not) and a memorial (If the families wish for there to be one).
  9. @pushbutton It isn't quite to the same standard as SWs, but it still exists. And it does feature some of the key elements of what made SWs one great, and great to see that despite there not being any fire, they didn't put in stupid and pointless LED strip lighting instead
  10. Best part about this park is they have the Bermuda Triangle - Alien Encounter
  11. Don't know where you read that because I just checked and it definitely doesn't say it is, or even advertise it
  12. Out of all the thoughts on pricing so far, I agree with this one the most. More for DW and MW. SW should be $10 less than the others I believe. And then WnW another $10 less. I think the ticket pricing for single day tickets is okay, but when you can pay $10 more for 12 months more, it still doesn't make sense to me. It used to be about $100 for a years pass for an individual park, and now you get 4 parks for that price, and for even more than 12 months What I don't like about the parks, is the varying options and not overly much differce between them, and similar pricing, and I'm more talking about VRTP here. What I also don't like about them passes is they don't offer any membership extras, unlike DW, which provides tonnes. I do like VRTPs system with picking the parks you want, and time you want them. What they should do, is that this idea further, and then provide options to add the night events, if people want benefits. And then list this stuff on the pass itself. As you add more stuff to your pass, the higher the price goes. But I think it will be worth it. Keep the VIP Pass but get rid of everything else. Keep the VIP pass for $99, to allow more families to go, but then provide the other option for holiday makers, and other locals who want more for their passes. I think DW passes are much better, and are really well priced, especially since they discounted them to try and get more people back.
  13. Also thinking, in regards to some workers working on the weekend, and these supports going in. The main large crane operator didn't work, so the workers and smaller crane operator did, so they put all these lower support sin place, and then the next pieces in which go on top will get put in place Tuesday. We could probably see this section of track pieces completed by the end of next week.
  14. I doubt they'd ever release the information of how the incident occurred, they never really did a press release for GL. The DW incident may not be forgotten, but isn't spoken about as often anymore. Which is a good thing, but DW are still gaining trust back from people.
  15. I really do hope that it the things that have been said about the details aren't allowed to be released until after May 1 (and for what ever reason that may be), MW instantly take the opportunity to announce it as soon as possible. Ideally (hopefully) they announce it next week, if not, by the end of the month.
  16. @Skeeta yeah it really does, kind of reminds me of the sudden turns of jet rescue (and they are great). @Santa07 thankfully Monday is the last one for a while, so we will then have a clean run of construction. Maybe today's progress is to make up for Mondays public holiday
  17. Saw these on my way home this evening and wasn't sure if they were there yesterday or not. So now we know they will be doing work over the weekends. Some of these are quite low under the latest pieces of track, unless they haven't been completed yet.
  18. It could be bringing out the viewing area, so like what DW did for Wipeout, allowing spectators to get closer to view.
  19. @xRazzBerryx something like this, so what is in the bottom hand corner is what was installed today:
  20. They've had a busy afternoon, and really looking forward to this airtime hill turn (whatever it is)
  21. You can also see if as you are coming along the M1 from about oxenford exit. And once the lift hill is constructed, you'll see it from even further away
  22. There is also a crane still in the carpark lifting out pieces from shipping containers
  23. I agree with everything that was said in that article. A couple of yours ago they changed the passes to VIP 'Magic' Passes, but since they originally started back in 2009, nothing else has changed when it comes to their marketing campaign. I know DWs imagination campaign did have some down falls, but they focused on their individual attractions/experiences they had to offer, while this campaign doesn't do that, except for the mention of the dolphins, stunt driver and AA. But really, what they should've have done, rather than mentioning magic, is really show what they have to offer. Have one ad showing all their coasters across the parks. Show the close up encounters with animals and characters, show off the water slides. Or just focused on what we all care about this year, the new coaster. If they stuck with what they've done, but at the end said, 'And coming this September, the greatest attraction in the southern hemisphere', that would've been so much better. That would've at least got the word really out there, rather than just that poster they had for a few weeks in December.
  24. Well it is scheduled for maintenance from 28th August to 18th September 2017, so it will probably (hopefully) happen then.
  25. Just checked and it says when you go to purchase it that it does not include entry to SkyPoint Observation Deck or SkyPoint Climb.
